"Hilltop Estates was nice because it was brand new. It was clean, and they just had everything there. The lady that took us for the hour was very nice. There was a minister for church services, and he was very nice too. The other people were very nice there. Regarding the room, I don't need a big room, but there are different sizes and styles of rooms that you could choose there."

"Sundial Assisted Living was a very nice facility, but I'm looking for something that's a little closer to my mother's money amount. It was beautiful. The room was very nice. It was a medium scale motel room. The staff was very professional, very knowledgeable, and did a very good job. I was quite impressed with the facility. The dining area was nice and clean. Everything was very well laid out and it had a very nice ambiance to it. I was only there about an hour, so I didn't observe any activities."

"River Commons Senior Living is great. I just got back from dinner, where we had French dip sandwiches, vegetables, and dessert. I like it here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. If you have a problem, you can ask somebody, and they'll do their best to help you. I'm happy I picked this place. The staff is great. Everyone looks out for everybody else. I had a tray that was a little heavy for me to carry, and then a guy who was right there said, 'Here, let me take it to your table.' They are very compassionate people. The apartments are spotless. I'm in a one-bedroom. I got two large closets, which are helpful. I don't have an oven and that sort of thing. If you want to retire and you don't want to cook, you don't want to clean, and you want nice people around you, this is the place to be. They have a library, a game room, a poker room, and a place where they play cards. I've only played one game, but I'm going to play some more. There are walking paths and a garden, too. I'm on the second floor. I was told it was the best floor. On the third floor, you would get the summer heat beaming down on the roof, and the first floor is a bit more active. We have AC, so heat shouldn't be a problem. I would prefer to have either a patio or a deck if I could afford the extra, but I have nice big windows. The food is good. The dining area opens up at 7, 12, and 4. I'm not used to eating at regular times. You could take a lot of food to your apartment, and you just have to remember to bring a container for it. My kids think it's really good. They have a heater in the living room and in the bedroom, so you're warm or cool or whatever you want to be. I think the value for money is great for independent living. All retirement places are expensive, but this is one of the better ones."

"My sister is at Hilltop Springs Senior Living. We were thinking about moving her, but she likes being there. She has friends there now. It's all settled in and she is very happy. I like the amenities and the very nice apartments. They also have memory care, so it's going to be a full service. The staff members are very friendly and nice. They could be more skilled, though. The facility is very nice. My sister is very happy with the food. There are two dining rooms. It's a sit-down eating, and so they get served. She enjoys the food, and she enjoys the people. They have many activities. Their activity program is very good. It is expensive, but it's also a new facility, so things are a little bumpy at times."

"We toured Shasta Estates Senior Living. We like it's a part of town that is in. It's a little further out, not right in the middle of town. The rooms that we looked at were perfect. They smell good. They didn't have wear and tear on them, and it looked like a good place to be. We didn't meet many of the staff, but we met 2 or 3 of them, and they were very congenial and helpful. They had enough parking for our cars, and covered parking for our classic car."

"I was given a tour by Derek, he made sure I seen everything. I was introduced to it seems all the staff, which everyone was very friendly. I stayed for lunch which was wonderful and I enjoyed visiting with the ones at the table and for a first time I really enjoyed having someone to talk to during my lunch. I felt like I was at home there, which is why I’m selling my home and moving there. At 84 soon I plan on enjoying myself there with no cleaning etc to do. Me and my little dog Betty will be very comfortable I’m sure. The place was very clean also. You can see they care about their residents as they call them by their name, I was very impressed."
