"I have toured the Pasadena Home Care and the people were very nice. We were there at the time when they were eating and they had good meals with choices that they could have and that was very nice. It's a care home and everybody, the seniors that were there, seemed satisfied enough and friendly. The staff was friendly too. I didn't get to try the food but they were all sitting down because it was time for dinner when we were there. They had choices of roast beef and if they didn't want that, they had turkey and gravy. They also had dessert. You can either have fruit or a pumpkin pie. The rooms weren't updated yet, they were a little old but you can bring your own stuff into it. That's a choice you would have. Each one also had its own bathroom. Outside was well-kept although they had some shrubberies back there that needed trimming."

"I was at this community for a tour. First impression was it smelled good and was clean. The staff seemed to be engaged with the people that live there and the residents looked good. The woman who toured us was very helpful. We have never been through this before. I didn't know what I was getting into but now we feel a lot better. "

"I liked Regency Park. It was bright and they had a lot of things to do during the day. Everybody that we met was nice. The tour director was a little loud, but she was OK. She gave us the information we needed. They had a game room, which was fantastic. They had a card room and several living rooms."

"The staff at Brighton Gardens is friendly and very helpful. They know the residents by name and by sight and they know their families as well when they show up. My mother is very happy there. They have bingo, exercise classes and outings. They also have church, arts and craft. However, they're not doing a good job of making sure my mother's hearing aids are off at night and are working properly in the morning. "

"My father is in Shangrila Senior Living, and it has been fine. It's clean, and they have a caring staff. I just wish they had more activities for the residents. Everyone's been very kind. Every time I've gone my dad has been clean, and he told me it's a really nice place. They have puzzles, somebody comes in to give manicures and pedicures, and they have prayer circles."

"The Waterfalls of Catonsville was pretty clean. It was a big house that they converted. Their staff was nice. I think you have to bring your own appliances. They have a shared kitchen and shared shower too. The staff who gave us the tour, was friendly and nice. They have a lot of outdoor space, a gazebo, a patio, and a big grassy area. The location is good because they are next door to a senior center. The rooms look almost like a hotel without a shared shower."

"I visited Spring Arbor of Severna Park. The associate, Brent, was very, very friendly and very thorough in his tour and explanation, and the place was beautiful. The studios were small. The upkeep of the place was adequate. The dining area was adequate, nothing that stood out as good, as exceptional, and nothing bad at all. It was just fine. There was enough parking space."

"We toured Care Transitions. The nurse, I think his name was Ryan. He was nice. Everything was clear like all her needs would be met. He was able to answer all of our questions. The room was nice. She was looking into a private room. It's a good space, has a good-sized bathroom, and has a big TV. Things were generally clean. It is an old Baltimore home, so there are still stairs to get in and then there are stairs on the upper levels. So, if she wasn't going to be in the private room, she couldn't stay there because she couldn't do the stairs. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming."

"I toured Spring Arbor of Crofton. What I like least is the distance from family and the medical care that we've already established. What I like best is that it has a very nice campus. There are lots of outdoor spaces to assist the seniors around. There are lots of activities. The residents appeared to be engaged. It was more of an apartment-studio style, so residents were able to personalize more. We are looking at assisted living and being able to go into memory care. If I choose them, they have to come out and do an assessment. We went into the dining room. They have a very nice dining. They personalized it for all the residents for the afternoon. It was more on the upscale side, which is more than we were actually looking for."

"just want to say that I could not be more happy with the care and hospitality that my Mom is receiving at Bryant Woods Manor. It is a tremendous relief for me to know that she is receiving this incredible level of professional and personal care, which is around the clock I might add. My Mom was admitted to the facility at the start of the year with some serious concerns - she was unable to speak and had some severe mental and physical issues because of an extended hospital stay where she was not allowed to get out of bed. The competent and selfless team at Bryant Woods Manor provided my Mom with diligent and skillful care, comfort, and supervision immediately upon her arrival. Her health improved and she was able to get her voice back, an amazing turnaround given her initial state. I'm SO pleased with how she’s doing now! I might also add that Bryant Woods Manor as a residence is extremely pleasant and inviting, and the amenities for my Mom (and all of the residents, for that matter) are exceptional. This is NOT a hospital or a stark facility, this is a welcoming home for my Mom - clean and tidy and tastefully decorated (it even has hardwood floors!) - in a safe, established and beautiful neighborhood in Columbia. I'm so grateful that she is here, thank you for your service!"
