"I looked at this facility for my 91yr. Old mom who has dementia. I feel it is a perfect solution for her . The staff were engaged and genuinely caring of the residents. It was a warm and cozy home without a hint of the institutionalized feel but at the same time I felt confident that the CNA ‘s were very capable. I would highly recommend visiting and considering this type of facility . "

"Charter Senior Living of Orange is absolutely beautiful. It has plenty of options for what kind of room, how much care you need, and how big a place you need. However, it was a little over the budget at the time, with what Mom wanted to spend or what she was expecting, so it was a bit of a sticker shock, and so Mom kind of got cold feet with the whole thing. The people who were running the tour were great. They were fine. They did a great job. They showed us everything we needed to see and told us everything we needed to find out. The place was only a couple of years old; it was just a great place."

"I tried to keep my husband Rich home for as long as possible. He was a 72 year old when things started getting very hard to manage. Finding Maplewood at Orange has given Rich a new lease on life. He is thriving there. Everyone from the top down has given Rich their all. It is very easy to get in touch with management and they get back to you immediately. The community is extremely clean. The food is delicious. The numerous activities are geared towards all interests. The grounds are beautiful. When my daughters, grand daughter, and grand dog and I visit we all feel we are part of the family. Everyone who works there knows our names and is so welcoming and inviting. I am so thankful for Maplewood at Orange."

"I love the Spring Meadows by Monarch. It was clean and bright. The decor was amazing. They had that soothing blue. And the residents that we passed by were really pleasant. They were all so very happy. The room itself was just amazing. It was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. The sales manager was extremely nice and very informative in terms of the community, especially the activities that are offered. It was nice. The receptionist was amazing, and the nurses that walked by were very well-mannered and very pleasant."

"Sturges Ridge of Fairfield was excellent. The tour was great, and the staff was great. Because it's assisted living, they didn't have full kitchens in any of the apartments. They also didn't have a washer and dryer. You have to be willing to eat the food that they have. The washer-dryer was also a problem for my sister. She did not want to move into place without her own washer dryer. Other than that, it was quite a nice place. It's nice that it was in Fairfield and close to the downtown area. They have active social schedules where they take you on excursions. They also have a valet parking garage that hooks into an elevator right up to your floor. I think it makes it very easy for you if you still drive. The staff that toured us was very friendly, knowledgeable, answered our questions, and showed me everything that I wanted to see."

"I toured Charter Senior Living of Woodbridge. It was a good experience. However, at that time, they didn't have enough staff. They were in the process of redoing the whole place, so there were a few little glitches about the staff. The food was good though. The rooms were really nice and big. The upkeep of the place was OK."

"I visited coachman square with my mother a week ago. This community is incredible! Everyone interacted with each other. The staff is amazing and caring. I spoke to one of the residents and she raved about the place. She had visited several places before she picked coachman and she knew this was her place to move to. They are redoing the interior with new carpet and updated furniture in September. We ate lunch and the food was completely fresh. The dining director came out to meet us and he explained the menu, diets and what he would do to help my mother with her diet restrictions. Leslie, who toured us was knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile! She answered every question we had. She showed us 2 apartments and they are huge! Bigger than all of the other places we went. The bathrooms are big and my mom will have no problem with wheelchair access. She introduced us to the executive director who has been there for many years. She was so wonderful. She also answered questions we had. They have a robust calendar of activities. They also have outings to museums, Mohegan sun, pet therapy, and exercise programs related to specific areas like arthritis and other conditions. They are going to have support groups once a month soon. The place is clean and inviting. Pricing is inexpensive for what you get! I am definitely going to bring mom here. She was so excited! Thank you Leslie and her staff for being so warm and welcoming"

"We toured The Village at Mariner's Point. We liked the fact that you could get food from 7:00 in the morning till 7:00 at night. We thought that was great, because a lot of people, especially in the older years, don't want to get up right in the morning and eat. We saw both the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom. They seemed adequately open. They were clean. They were neat. They had been refurnished. They were putting in all new carpets. They repainted everything, so it was a very bright area. What they had set up for their models to show people they had nicely set up, so you could have a good idea for your bedroom, a chair there, and how you're gonna set up your little area. They had a little kitchenette area. They had a swimming pool that someone was in, and there was someone seated right outside, so if this patient/client got into any trouble that person was right there to help them."

"Robyn was the person who led the tour at Atria Larson Place, and she was phenomenal. She made you feel like a family. The property itself was lovely, decorated very nicely, and very up-to-date. The residents seemed very friendly. People would say hello. We were taken on a tour of their small cafe, dining area, and the activities room. There was a concert going on when we were there, and the apartment seemed lovely. Then we met with Greg, the business person, and went over the details. He was also very nice and willing to work with you. It was overall a very positive experience, and my aunt's looking forward to moving there. We had no complaints about anything. It was just lovely. We looked at a studio at first, and it was adequate. It wasn't large, but it had a little bit of separation from the living area. It was a nice set up for being a studio, but we preferred the one bedroom, which wasn't more money at that point, and it seemed to be a bit larger than one of the other places we looked at. Their dining area was also lovely. There were tablecloths on it. It wasn't mealtime, so there was no one in there, but it was set up very nice, kind of like a fine restaurant."

"We toured HarborChase of Branford. They seemed very nice. Their rooms were a little smaller than the other facility, but they were neat, they were clean, and they were well-maintained. There were no issues with that aspect of it. I had my dad there on both sides on the assisted living side, and then he had to go over to the memory care unit. It's not as warm and inviting as it was in the other facility. The staff was very friendly. I was very pleased with them."

"I like Brookdale Wilton very much. It's older, but it's very nice and very well cared for. They have nice spaces, and the room that they showed us was fine. It is definitely on our list. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice, very informative, and very helpful. She went through everything. She did a very good job of it. She was helpful not only with her place but with that kind of care generally, so that was nice. She didn't rush, and she showed us everything. We were very happy with her help."

"I had an in-person tour of Sunrise of Wilton. The facility was clean. The organization was manageable. The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms were relatively good. They were huge, but a livable space for seniors to move around and feel comfortable in their setting. The staff was very compassionate, caring, loving, and communicable. They have a lot of activities, like making sure that the seniors walk around. They had games and people coming in."

"Over two years have gone by since I first reviewed the Greens, and I can still say without hesitation that my sisters and I remain thrilled and relieved by the care that our parents are receiving at the Greens. Our parents require more attention and assistance now than when they moved to the Greens over 3 years ago, and the staff at the Greens continues to provide that care in a very compassionate and kind manner. The nursing director is probably the greatest asset and resource at the Greens. Our family is completely confident and reassured by her commitment and caring for the residents. There are many other noteworthy personnel, from the aides to the recreation, transportation, and dining room staff. The bottom line is that residents are treated like family, and our family is so grateful to have discovered the Greens at Cannondale."
