Happy Foster Family Adult Care Home

My mother will be moving into Happy Foster Family Adult Care. Just right when I walked in, it was warm. They had all the proper people there, unlike the other place. I think the wife and husband owners live there with them. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They know my mom's situation with the beginning stages of dementia and her cancer. She's depressed. I know once she goes into this home, she can be happier. She's going to be not walking herself in a room and going to bed early. I think it would be good for her all the way around. They have everything there that they need. The biggest thing for my mom is the walk-in shower. There's nothing like a lip where she has to walk over it because she can hardly walk. You just walk straight into it and there's a seat there. There are bars for them to hold on to. I talked to this one woman who's been there for five years, and I talked to a guy who's been there for five or eight years, and they couldn't be happier. The dining area has a huge eight or ten-feet table. When you walk up, I can feel it's peaceful because they're growing all these plants out front. They can go out and sit outside if they want. She can't walk very far, but at least she'll have somebody to help her walk a little bit. They have everybody there to do everything for them. There was a caseworker there the day I was there talking to somebody else. It's kind of mixed. It's guys and girls live there, but it's mainly older people. I didn't see any younger people. Overall when I walked in, I could just feel the love.

My mom lived here for 6 months before she died. This is the best care home in the world. She received excellent care. The caregivers always go above and beyond to make sure all residents are clean, comfortable and fed. My mom loved it there and was very happy. She was always smiling and told me she loved it there. She had severe dementia so she required alot of care. She was cared for and loved by the staff and residents. The home was always clean. I highly recommend this home. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I really don't have any complaints. They're very thoughtful, caring, and warm people. My mother has been here for a month now. She complains about everything, but she doesn't complain too much here. My first impressions -- it was roomy, clean, and smelled good, and everybody was friendly, even the people that were staying here. She doesn't care for their food, but they keep the people so clean, and everything is clean; it's spotless. Happy Foster Family is a good place with good people.
