We moved my parents in to Eternal Spring after looking for 2 years. There was so many things that we looked for in an Assisted Living home for them. I can not stress enough how happy that my parents are and the relief that our family has. From the moment we entered, when we toured with our parents we were so impressed! The front lobby is so welcoming from the beautiful furnishings to the gorgeous staircase. As we continued our tour we saw the that they have 2 bistros, one on each floor, the home theatre, activities room, game room, library, private dining room available, hair salon and even a family kitchen. I love the idea of the family kitchen to be able to do cooking or baking with our mom. One of the important things we were looking for was a good memory care. We know that it is a very real option that we might need in the future. As with all the furnishings, it was inviting and comfortable. My dad said he felt like you were in your own living room. Their head chef is the best that I have seen. (When researching new assisted living options we would always visit over a meal time.) Residents will be eating 3 meals a day there and you want to make sure that the food is appetizing. The entire staff has an open door policy and always eager to listen to input from my parents or family. They have told us from the first day, “This is their home and we are guests in their home to assist them”. I just want the entire staff to know how much they are appreciated and the peace of mind that I personally have. Thank you, Sandy L.

One star for cleanliness - The facility is nice & clean and fools you. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. We had our dad in this facility for a little over 2 months. I about had a nervous break down in the process. In July he fell and was transported to Chandler Regional. It was thought that he might have broken his shoulder. The Er Doctor called the facility to make sure their would be staff to look after him throughout the night since he was in so much pain. I was out of state and got information from my dad directly, he was still very sharp. The ER doctor told the facility that they would admit him to the hospital if he wasn't going to have care throughout the night. They assured the doctor that he would have care. When the transport company got to the front door someone (I never did know who-because this person should have been fired) they were let in and the transport company handed this person his ER paperwork. The transport company called me to let me know they had put him in his bed and had given the front desk the paperwork. Remember I am out of state and trying to make sure dad is okay from 1500 miles away. I asked them if anyone from the facility was there to get him situated. They said no ma'am and the halls are all vacant, no one around. We had someone let us in the door then they were gone. The next morning around 8:00AM my dad called me, he was swearing up a storm and asked that I call down to the front desk. No one checked on him ALL night and they still hadn't come to take him down to breakfast. He said his walker was pushed across the room, his call button was also across the room as was his cell phone. He had no way to get ahold of anyone!!!! He told me he pushed his way out of bed and crawled to his phone (mind you we still hadn't heard if his shoulder was broken because the night person had the paperwork, the ER doctor didn't believe it was broken but the staff at the center had the paperwork). He was furious, and asked that I get someone to him. I called down to the front desk, they proceeded to tell me he wasn't there but he was at Chandler Regional Hospital. Ni one had told them he returned. I told them he is indeed in his room and needs help immediately. I asked them to connect me to Amanda. She apologized and told me she would run to his room and find out what was going on...it took the facility 3 days to find his paperwork that was handed to that night person. I seriously feel that they lost my Dad for about 8 hours and he was in a lot of pain with no one looking after him. Please don't let your loved ones go to this facility. Another incident a few weeks later I had with the RN at the facility. My father believed he had gotten another rooms medication. I asked if they could tell him what drugs they were giving him at the time he was receiving them. She told me she could give me/him the list of meds he was taking but she couldn't tell him at the time, it would take the med techs TOO MUCH TIME to do this each time he took his meds. My father was on his own at 90 taking very good care if himself until he had a heart attack and it destroyed his body. He knew what drugs he was taking but they looked different He was still very sharp and wanted to know what they were giving him in the cup they were handing to him and telling him to take and they wouldn't do it. I tried having the Meded techs sign into his room and write what they were giving him and I was told it was against HIPPA. I contacted my lawyer, she told me just having them sign it in his room WAS NOT AGAINST HIPPA. The attorney had a long process for me to go through to let the facility know they were in the wrong. While i was there a ned tech came in and told me they couldnt sign the paper or they would lose their job. I had a few other things happen as well but at this point, we just couldn't keep him there any longer. We pulled him out!!! Oh and he had his diamond ring stolen and $200 cash stolen out of his room. He never left his room except going down to dinner. He didn't do any of the actitivities. I personally live in a 55 plus community and am very involved. I have and will continue to let people know what happen to my dad at Eternal Springs. DO NOT PLACE ANYONE HERE, EVEN YOUR WORST ENEMY. I had to pay that last month even though dad was not there, they asked for 30 day notice. I took him out the 6th, I could not wait any longer. He needed out of there.
