This is an exceptional choice for both my parents, & we're so RELIEVED to have found such a wonderful assisted care home for them (after a truly horrendous experience on Mercer Island). Both my parents are so much happier, less stressed, feel well loved & cared for! The family owners/RNs are so lovely, warm, caring, experienced, & thorough, with great senses of humor. Very few "staff" members, as the family lives onsite & does the bulk of the caregiving. Multiple RNs in the family, with an occasional Aide who fills in - but my experience is that it's usually the same 1 or 2 aides, so resident & caregiver are able to really really get to know each other & get comfortable fairly quickly. The house itself is exquisitely beautiful, huge waterfall in back, grassy area, BBQs, wheelchair access indoors & outdoors. Allows maximum freedom for the residents, while keeping them safe from falls. My Dad is so happy taking his walker & going outside to the covered porch in back, going down the wide ramped walkways, around to the front to sit in the sunshine in one of the many chairs there. Some rooms have a private balcony for sitting outside to have a cup of coffee/tea. The owners were so accommodating when moving in & so helpful setting up computer, tv, cable, etc. They went above & beyond! High ceilings with huge windows for light & for the view. Beautiful decor - not at all institutional, very "homey" & inviting. The food is amazing - home cooking, cater to resident's requests, wholesome healthy food with actual fresh fruits & veggies. No more institutional processed food every meal! The family owners are so willing to chat, update us, excellent communication from them... they clearly have a passion for this & it shows in their interactions with every single resident. I can't praise the Adult Family Home enough, and HIGHLY recommend them for any level of care - from independent with light assist, all the way to dementia or hospice care.

The family who is in charge is very kind and exceptional when it comes to care. The residents have lovely rooms and enjoy the good meals they prepare from scratch. We are blessed to have found this home for my Mom who has Alzheimers. We visited allot of assisted livings with the help of some care managers your site provided. We would not have found Magdalena's home without their help. Thanks, Diane
