My family member has been at this facility and I can't say enough. He is well taken care of. The nurses are very nice to him. They activities and they try to get him involved but sometimes he is unwilling. He has been there for over a year. They call us and let us know if something is wrong. He enjoys the food.

My Wife was sent to this facility for rehab, day one; she was put in a room and she told they she need to have a bowel movement, as was told we had to supply the bed chucks and wet wipes. The staff left the room and never returned to help her, I had too. The dirty items sat in the trashcan for 8 hours, before a staff member finally emptied it. She was never given water and when her dinner finally came, it was not the diet she could eat. The staff said "oh well" and I had to go buy her dinner. That night they tried to give her insulin twice within 3 hours, this is not good.... Day 2; she was again given the wrong diet, and was again told eat it or not. staff was slow to act for anything she needed. So if you have a choice, I would not place your family member here.

My mom is in Hampton Health and Rehab for rehab. The place is OK. A couple of the nurses there I'm pissed off about, but there's one nurse that's been really, really helpful. She's been there for about two weeks. I'm not pleased that some of her property was stolen. I'm not against it, but I wouldn't recommend it like I would have two years ago. Two years ago, the food was excellent, but now it's just average. They used to have a lot of activities, but my mother's health is different now than what it was before. They have activities there. I definitely had more interaction with the staff before, pre-COVID. It was a warmer atmosphere back then in 2019 compared to now. Now it feels cold and has a different vibe.

Sentara Nursing Center is clean with nice rooms. It has real hospital beds, not the cart things that my mom sleeps on at her current facility.

My friend is in Sentara Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The staff seems great. The room is large enough for a wheelchair set in there and large enough to do a little exercise with her. It has a bathroom with shower in it. The food seems to be pretty good. My visit there is fine. The place is nice and clean. It is very nice. The waiting room up front is nice. You will not see any trash on the floor, and the floor is shiny. If I have to go, I will go there.

Sentara is very nice, clean, and does not smell. The staff seemed to be very nice and I have no complaints about them. My uncle had shared rooms, but now they moved him to a private room. The place was better than the last place he was in.

The first time I visited my bed ridden father, he only had socks on and the room was unbearably hot. There was no evidence of any clothes near him to indicate that he might have taken them off. When asked, staff gave assortment of excuses - patient stripped himself, patient asked for heat on high. A week later, almost all of his dirty clothes were in a large cloth bag inside the wardrobe on top of his clean clothes, and no one seemed to accept responsibility for washing them. A week later, wet dirty clothes were piled on top of clean clothes to where the smell permeated them all. Due to swallowing difficulties, food is served pureed. When asked if they offered creamy soups, they said no. Staff seem pleasant enough, but do not seem to take initiative, or in my case, do not seem to follow through on issues. Social services to not seem to communicate with nurses, or nurses with rehab, etc. I would not recommend this facility.
