"If you’re looking to admit someone here please take your time to visit & take a tour. The staff is super friendly & honest, bathrooms are clean, & the place doesn’t smell of feces. During my tour they had a guy playing piano & singing for the residents & I believe that was just one of many things they do for these people here. Franky was my tour guide she was super quick & efficient. Amani at the front desk was very helpful with getting me the assistance I needed as well, very pretty lady. My experience was definitely great."

"My father is now in August Healthcare at Richmond. It's been excellent. The facilities are very good. The facility is a little bit dated. They're just about to start a massive renovation, but the plans looked good. They've got excellent staff. They get to know the person that's in there, and the nursing staff is quite good. He is receiving excellent care, and he loves the food. I have not tried the food, but he raves about it. The common areas are nice. When I was there, they were more on lockdown because of COVID. They've since opened back up, so they have lots of games and activities and they have little road trips. They've been terrific. I've had to coordinate with them for him to go out to wound care, and they've been very receptive to him having a different schedule, and the physical therapy there is excellent. They have private rooms. In my dad's case, you share a bathroom with one person, so that's pretty unusual. He's got Medicare, so I would say it's excellent value. "

"I'm currently at Rosedale Health & Rehabilitation. The upkeep is perfect. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They offer bingo and card playing. They have a room where we can watch television. They have ice cream socials, too. I haven't been to the dining area because I'm only served in my room. They could bring the food into the dayroom, too, where the TV is. It's wonderful. I have no complaints about it. My food is nice and hot, too."

"The administrator is dynamic and involved. The environment is very clean and fresh. There is lots of activity and bustling energy. The rooms are a bit small compared to other facilities, but this one would be one of the top 2 of the 5 we've visited this weekend, with The Laurels being number 1. "

"I went to Lakewood. The pool was really nice. I have a friend living there, so that was nice also. It's pretty big, which makes me a little nervous. If it is too big, am I going to be able to get from A to B if I'm all the way across the campus? Most of them have walking paths that are covered, so you don't have to worry too much about the outside weather and stuff like that, but this one was nice. The waiting list wasn't astronomical; it was probably two years. The room sizes were good. I think there's an allotment for food, but I did not have any of it. My friend says that the people there are just wonderful. The staff was friendly, and the residents seemed happy. The facilities were nicely kept. There were lots of activities and things to do if you chose to, so that was another one that was very positive."

"We toured Westminster Canterbury Richmond. It's a nice facility. The staff was fine, very knowledgeable, and did a good job. It's very clean, and the structure looks great. The room is a pretty good size. It had a good atmosphere."

"My mom is in Beth Sholom. We chose it because they are caring. They care for the elderly. They are compassionate for these people. They treat my mom better than the other place she has stayed. They have all kinds of activities. They are involved in everything. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have snack bars for them. Everybody is friendly. They take them out all the time. They take them to the bank, the post office, or wherever they want to go. They will take my mother to her doctor's appointments. They have a rec room where they do their activities. The luncheon there is great. It is just a wonderful place. "

Every member of the team shared timely, positive, kind, focused, encouraging and caring services. The food was excellent. And she was blessed with the best roommate on the planet. She told us often that she felt loved there, so vital when eyesight and strength are failing. Everyone we met immediately welcomed us and made us feel at home there. "This place is wonderful. I got more done here in two weeks than I did in a month at the hospital. They really got me go in again. It was a great help having the staff and doctors and therapy by our side throughout my recovery. The staff was very patient and accommodating. From day one everyone put their all into making sure everything was perfect. And I really felt like they were there for my entire family while we worked through my recent changes in health and independence. "

"I was in Our Lady of Hope as a skilled nursing facility, and that was real nice. I just couldn't afford it. I was in there for rehab for 30 days. They helped with everything, food, nursing care, and a good doctor. The staff was good. Like a lot of the other skilled nursing facilities, the nighttime staff were a little tough to deal with, but they were all contract people. It was about on par with some of the other places I've stayed, not the worst. The daytime staff was outstanding. It's very clean. The food was good. I had PT and OT. They also have assisted living there. From what I understand and everything I saw, they had a lot of stuff going on. They had a good menu of programs going on every day, but I was there for rehab primarily, so I didn't go down for any of them. They were a little bit better in price than some of the others."
