"We moved my mom in after living in another memory facility. The difference is night and day. Everything is kept very clean, the staff is friendly and consistent and management is very responsive to questions or concerns. The rooms are nice and the open living concept helps with socialization for residents. Nothing is going to be perfect, but Avilacare comes very close."

"Summer Ridge Assisted living is a great place for the elderly to have a wonderful experience in continuing to live which with the same if not better in the ways they lived before having to go to such a facility. There staff is wonderful and accommodating to their every need but at the same time allowing them to some what take care of themselves and their spaces (rooms) to their own desires. It is nice to see such wonderful people helping our elderly and families continue living in an enriching way. The facility itself is beautiful with peaceful places for the residents to rest or do fun activities with others. "

"Lakeshore Assisted Living and Memory Care is very nice and very clean, but I found it too expensive for us. I found the staff very friendly, and they interacted with the residents. Everybody seemed upbeat, comfortable, and relaxed. The director told us that there was one resident that had been there for 12 years, so evidently it's good. We went over everthing and kind of looked around. I saw the dining room, and it was clean, the grounds looked kept up, so I was impressed with the facility itself. Just from my observation, the staff was really friendly."

"My sister was previously at Beehive Homes of Rowlett's memory care. The managers and the owners themselves are very hands-on and assist in all aspects of the care. They are very knowledgeable, very smart people, and understand the medication system. They try to make all the residents feel comfortable, and most of the residents that I have seen are very comfortable there. There's nobody who doesn't want to be there. Their staff was very attentive. They pay attention when you tell them that a certain staff member didn't do something. They don't hold on to staff members who are not doing right, like most facilities. The food was good because they also had a chef who prepared and catered it to the liking of the residents. They had wonderful events, and they decorated for these events, like Mother's Day, Christmas, and Easter. They were also inclusive of family members because they would let family members know that they were invited to come to these events. They would have these big banquets for everyone, the family and the residents. They even had photo opportunities where they would set up so that you could take pictures with your family members. They kind of went above and beyond."

"The Forum was too expensive. It was an older building, including the furnishing. Both my husband and I thought it was a bit depressing. It was old and dark with dark drapes and dark furniture. I just didn't think it was impressive looking. I liked that it is convenient to where we are living. "

"My mother-in-law will be moving into Ariel Pointe of Sachse. The facility was very light, bright, and very modern. I thoroughly enjoyed the philosophy behind their memory care, where they just don't leave them in the room. They try to socialize these patients with dementia. Rather than just leave them in their room to sit and watch TV, they bring them out to socialize and try to stimulate them. The staff was very friendly, very thorough, and answered all my questions. They offered the courtyard, a sitting room, an open area with tables, and they offer a salon for hair and nail. They followed through, from the minute I left. We're still trying to get her moved in there and get all the paperwork done. They have just kept in contact with us and followed through on an every-other-day basis, finding out where we are in the process of getting all her doctors to sign off on everything."

"I was able to tour for my aunt. The staff was very kind, and they were very careful with COVID; I had to wear a gown and gloves. They were delightful about that, and so I appreciated that a lot. The place was nice. I think it was fairly old, but it has been revamped, and it was very comfortable, good, and clean. The person that gave me the tour was the leader of the AL and she listed several things that she does, but then again, they're being careful about getting people together because of COVID, and I appreciate that. The staff was delightful, kind, and good."
