"My friends moved into Sunrise of Fort Worth, and we like its broad size. It's not too big, not too small. They get pretty good personal attention, and the facility is nice. I'm impressed by the staff. The food is good. They have games. They have balloon volleyball. They have special days where they invite their friends for activities and food. They have gardening, painting, and several other activities. The atmosphere is very upbeat."

"I toured The Grandview of Chisholm Trail. What I like best about it is that it's brand new. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. What I like about it is that it's huge. The staff seem very interactive with their clients. They knew all their names. The food was very good. They have many options for each meal. You had a choice of 2 or 3. It was a formal dining setting with crystal. The residents there are at a much higher level. The dining area has a wide open area with multiple small tables. It's very nice."

"My mother moved into Brookdale Richland Hills, and as far as I can see they are good. Her room is nice, it is spacious, and clean. They have regular activities and I met the activities director. She's nice and my mom likes her. I also talked to some of the residents and they all like the activities director as well. We ate lunch and dinner there with the staff members and some of the people, and it was good. The staff is very attentive, they answered our questions, and have no problem calling me if there's a problem. They're just good people. The place is small and not over-crowded."

"I visited Ashwood Court for my mother. The tour was good and very informative. They answered my questions. The rooms were good. The main reason why I kept looking and went somewhere else was because of the price. The facility was nice but wasn’t at the top nor the bottom of my list; it was in the middle. I didn’t notice too many activities. "

"My mom went to Heartis Eagle Mountain. For one thing, it is about a mile or so from my house and brand new. She is the ninth person to live there. I think they’re still trying to get stuff going, like they had a Memorial Day party but there were not very many people there because there’s not many residents yet. I recommend it. The staff members are nice. Like I said, there aren't a lot of residents and there’s not a lot of staff, but the staff there are very nice and helpful. "

"We went with Carver Heights Estates for my mother. It was just 1.2 miles from me. Mother really wants a small dog. In Carver Heights, it's just a deposit of $350. It's very clean and very pretty. It's all one level. It's kind of built in a square, so in the center is like a courtyard area. That's a much larger outdoor area for them. It's got a lot of pretty little patio seating things, and it's got a raised flower bed that the people can plant. It just has a much better outdoor feel, and the indoors are beautiful. The room was more spacious than the other place we went to. It had two closets. It's a nice facility. We were really impressed. The staff is amazing, they're so sweet, really good, and very informative. You can call anytime, and they'll answer your questions. A couple of weeks after she got in, they had what they call family time. They had hot dogs and hamburgers and a bounce house and a DJ, and all kinds of entertainment. A lot of people came, and it was a lot of fun. They have activities every day. They have activities going on, so they do really well in the activities department."

"My grandmother stays at this facility and I love it. It's really nice, people are always there to help if she needs it and they allow so many contracted services she never is without something. My grandmother had a stroke and has still not regain mobility of her leg and arm. Even with this challenge she gets along just fine. They offered her a scooter and they have very scooter and wheel chair friendly elevators around the property. They also have a very spacious parking lot so family members can visit their loved ones. I love this place. My grandma can be social and doesn't have to feel like she can't live for herself. I honestly feel like its added years onto her life because this place provides her with hope. I recommend this place to any and everyone who has a loved one that has suffered illness but still wants to continue living in a happy, clean, friendly environment. "

"I saw Brookdale North Richland Hills. It was a quick, first-glance tour. Everything was more than expected. Very clean, very nicely remodeled. The staff was very helpful, she took me in at a moment's notice, I don't have a scheduled appointment at that time. She was very accommodating, took me in right away, showed me around, and showed me a room, and a floor plan. I did not sample the food. It was lunchtime when I got there. So a lot of folks were eating. The food looked very, very appealing, very appetizing. It seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal."

"I have been very pleased with them. We've had some issues with them getting to know my mom and her getting to know them. The staff has been very receptive to feedback and I appreciate that. They have some music activities, Bingo, jewelry making, arts and crafts, and other entertainment. The great grandchildren went and played Bingo with her last week, so that was fun for her."

"My mother will be moving in Sterling House of Watauga. Based on my visit there, I would say that I love the place. The staff working there are very good. They have good rooms, and they are updating it right now. What impresses me most about the place is the feeling of being at home there. The cost is high though. However, Sterling house is pretty competitive, so I guess it is just reasonable. "

"The facilities were clean and the staff were generally pretty friendly. They had regularly scheduled activities. My girlfriend's mother (dementia) was quite happy with a magic show they recently had where she participated as an "assistant." They have church services, as well. Laundry sometimes disappears but I think that's not unusual for assisted living facilities. The decor is not the dated "cinderblock institutional" that you sometimes see in these facilities. Overall, it's better than average. "
