Our son Michael was accepted as a patient three months ago. We have been very pleased with the care he has received. The Doctor, Nurses, and Staff have been very attentive to all his needs. Thank You .

Southwood Care Center is tucked away on a cul-de-sac, so it is quiet. It's all one story so residents who can walk or propel their own wheelchairs can get outside when they want which is great. My mom lived there for several years and although there was of course some staff turnover, there was enough continuity that she always seemed to have someone to take an interest in her personally. The activity director works really hard within her budget to have a variety of things for the residents to do. It was cool also because they sometimes let family members hold memorial services there for residents who have passed away so that their friends can easily pay their respects. This is great for long-term residents. It is always clean and I found the staff to be responsive. It's an older facility but they are working to keep it up. The food service lady is a long-term employee and very conscientious.
