It looks great at first. The central areas are pretty and the food looks OK, But the care they give is terrible, They promise the best of care and then give as little as possible. Only 1 or 2 people there after 6 to take care of everyone or say they do, and if you complain, they say they are the only one there and cant do this or that for your relative, Even though that service was promised when you moved them in. They count on no one seeing what happens at night as moist visitors come in the day. They have 1 or 2 employees that try hard to do the best they can for the residents at night, the rest are a joke. I would never put a family member here and wish my dear friend would be moved to another facility by his family. But this place has made him bedridden by refusing to help him into his wheelchair or lift chair so he could not be in another assisted living place. But trust me, it is not as it appears in the day time.

What I liked best about The Village at Bellevue was that it was nice and clean. It was very small. Almost like a V-shaped building. They had one room where they did all their arts and crafts, their bingo, and that type of thing. They have a dining area. It was not a large dining area, but that was OK. The price I think is high. The studio itself is $3,775. The one-bedroom studio is $4490, and then the two bedroom goes up. These are all studios. The person who gave the tour did her job and everything. I also met one young lady who said she does all the activities. She says she's only been there for three weeks or so. We stood there and talked for another 25 minutes about what she does, but she does quite a bit. It seems like, to me, the staff is very small because you have one person who seems like doing three jobs. It kind of made me wonder if there's going to be enough to stretch around to make sure that things go smoothly. If they're going to have bingo on Monday and Wednesday, and if they get to do something in the cafeteria, who's going to do the bingo or the arts and crafts? She mentioned that she's a person who does all of it.

I saw The Village at Bellevue. I toured the whole facility. It's an older community, but it had been nicely redecorated and refurbished. I enjoyed the people showing the place. I felt like they had a really good connection in explaining what their facility does. The facility for memory care proper I was not impressed with because it was very small. It's only 16 beds. It seemed like an adjunct place, which concerned me. However, when they continued to show me the rest of the place and they asked me questions about my friend's nature and what she likes to do, it seemed to be that they would function my friend into more of a crossover status where she would be able to be active in the assisted living areas, and that area was lovely. I liked the community, even though I wasn't in love with how the memory care area looked. The rest of the community was really lovely, I just wasn't as impressed with the memory care area. They need to improve their memory care, just make it prettier and more encouraging.
