We went to South Hills Square Retirement Community. It was nice, but the only problem with that was it was more of a cafeteria line. They didn't have somebody to come and serve you through your meals. My mother-in-law has a walker, and it's a little bit inconvenient for her. They did not have in-house care, so it was a big deterrent. The rooms were nice, a perfect size.

There isn't any security in place. Anyone can walk through the door It is cafeteria serving. No sit down service. Interaction with the Managers, very poor. Either not seen or no response to any situation

Our Freedom Dining is RLC's most popular feature. It includes flexible dining hours throughout the day and the option to choose from a variety of dining experiences: full service dining; casual buffet dining; on-the-go snacks; or room service delivered to your apartment home. Many of our residents use walkers and our servers help with their dining trays and serve beverages. Our residents have the freedom to choose which option fits their needs for each meal.
On site Home Care Support is available through preferred care providers.
We have several floorplans to choose from. Each has a full kitchen and washer and dryer.
Independence, peace of mind and the freedom to choose is what South Hills Square offers residents.

South Hills Square Retirement Community is brand new. I like it. They're very clean, and they have very happy, positive, upbeat people who live on-site and who are also in charge. I feel that's really important because you don't want it to be like a dismal type of place to live. The apartments were so nice, extremely clean, and spacious. They had a barbecue area, a movie theater, nice dining facilities, a billiard room, and common areas.
