"My parents-in-law moved into Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. It's very clean and welcoming. We have had a good experience with all of the staff members. The food is definitely above average and my parents have been satisfied. They have a large lobby and the people socialize there. My husband's mom plays the piano, so especially during Christmastime, the people really enjoys hearing her play Christmas carols. There's a swimming pool and a very small fitness center."

"The management of Paramount Senior Living seems to be responsive and looks after the facility pretty well. The building is kind of small, but it is well maintained. There are not enough parking spaces for visitors, but that is the only complaint I have about the physical facility itself. They have a large dining area, they offer three meals a day, and the meals are good, because I was there for a week or so, and I thought the meals were very good. Right across the street from this facility is a small shopping center that has a doctor's office, a small supermarket, and a bakery shop too. My mother has had no really negative comments about it, except that she wishes she could get around more, but she is happy that the nursing staff is responsive. She wears a thing around her neck, she pushes the button, and they come. I would recommend this place. "

"Paramount was a very comparable and a very nice facility; it was one of the nicer places. The rooms were spacious and nice. The staff was very nice also, and the dining area looks fine. "

"My father-in-law was at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth. The people were very nice, and the facility was clean. They did have activities, but my father-in-law wasn’t there very long, so as far as I know, he did not participate. "

"It was gorgeous and brand new. I was invited to lunch, and the food was good. The problem was it's so far out in the boonies that you can't get anywhere. They only had 20 residents when I was there. The room was nice. The amenities were good. The manager spent time with me, and he was terrific."

"I went to The Grand Residence at Upper St Clair. It was a very pleasant experience. The girl during the tour was so wonderful and followed up with me numerous times. They were great. My dad is just not ready to leave his home. They were wonderful, they kept following up, and they're patient. It's all positive. The rooms were a little small, but very nice and very clean. They explained the floor plans and they're very nice. They're very accommodating with my family's circumstance."

"My mother-in-law moved into Harmony at Diamond Ridge. Nicole, the one who gave us the tour several times, had the biggest impact on my mother. She was very thorough, showing us the entire facility several times, answering all of the questions, providing and explaining the care my mother would be receiving, which met all of the criteria I needed for her. And so far, so good. They're wonderful, very helpful, get her down to her meals, bring her back, take her to activities, introduce her to other residents, and make her feel comfortable and at home. She loves the food. We can also eat with her if we'd like, and we have several times. The food is wonderful. They have a special every day, but there is also a completely different menu, so if it's something she doesn't like, she can order it from there. It's the cleanest facility I have been in. They have a ton of activities. They have art class, cards, and bingo. They have a coffee chat every morning, where residents can get together. They go down to the bistro and have coffee, get to know the other residents, have a snack or something, and talk, which she did, and she likes that really well. They have a lot of different activities. You get a schedule, and it's the whole day. If you want to be doing something every minute of the day, you can be. They go on outings and take them to restaurants and stores. I chose this facility because it seemed the best fit for her. The size of the facility, the staff, the director, and everyone that we have met. It just seemed like a perfect fit for her. All the facilities that I took her to, her exact words were that they felt like home to her."

"My friend is currently at the Apple Blossom. It's only a year old, so it's a brand-new community. Even though they are in quarantine, they are allowing the residents to go into their dining room, where only two people could eat at each round table. In the place where she stayed before, she had to stay in her room for nine months. All that time, she had her meals delivered to her room, so she never got out of it, and because of that she ended up being in a wheelchair. She's been in the Apple Blossom for two weeks now, and I like the fact that they were taking her out of her room. She also loves the food there. She said the food was really good and really wonderful with different menus. In the other place where she was, her breakfast was like a buffet. Everything was already cooked and already dried out by the time she got it. On her first morning in Apple Blossom, she went into the dining room, and they made her an omelette. She hadn't had an omelette for two-and-a-half years. And on her first night, they had spaghetti and chicken parmesan, and all kinds of good things. The dining room is open all day, and you can eat whenever you want to until 6:30; after that, you can have snacks anytime. They are also allowing her husband in by appointment, and they have a special room for them to go to. He can stay half an hour, or if nobody else has an appointment, he can stay longer. I never saw her room, but I know it's tiny. It has a single bed and one little dresser where the TV is, but most of the day, she's out of her room. There is a sitting area where they have a receptionist, and I can call any time of the day. They will give her the phone, and then we'll talk, and that's nice because she had nobody to talk to before and just slept all day. They have specially trained people for dementia. She's getting speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. I've never been in there, but I just know from her husband that they are always there to help her, talking to her and all that. He likes it, and he's the only one who has been there. He also said it's clean, and he likes the people because they are kind and come in to introduce themselves when they talk to her, and she's loving it. She's awake and alert now, and that's what I like about it."

"My father lives at Paramount Senior Living at Peters Township. They seem to respond to him pretty quick if they need to. He's had some theft though. He's had had some things disappear from his room. Other than that, they feed him well, and he seems to like it there. He likes the food, but because of COVID I don't think they're doing much. They do exercises in the hall every day. His room is one big room. There are things that I've asked the staff about that they have not gotten back to me about. It's a beautiful facility, but it's too much money for what he's getting."

"I wanted to move and A J Demor was available. It's like 62 apartments and everybody gets along with everybody. They're real friendly down here. It is updated but there's not a lot of room for a dining area. We cook our own food. The staff is punctual for keeping things up to date and fixing things. The police and rescue station is right around the corner and everything is in walking distance. They have bingo and poker. They have activities during the week. On Saturday and Sunday you kind of fend for yourself. They have medical people come in once a month to take your blood pressure or cut your toenails. If you have a problem with your feet, they have a podiatrist come in once a month. "

"I like Seneca Place and I had a friend there. I was very pleased with it. They have a step down program. You can go from apartment to assisted living to skilled nursing in the same area. It's very clean and I had lunch there, it was appetizing. They were very helpful in getting all my friend's medication turned over because she's been taking care of it herself. That was helpful. "

"I choose to live here in Seneca Hills Village because I have a friend who recommended it to me that lives here too. It's terrible right now because we're on lockdown. I can't do anything because of COVID, but the staff is wonderful, very attentive, very quick to answer your calls, and assist with any needs that you have. I am just very happy with them. The food is also very good. They have two chefs that cook for us and provide us with three meals a day. We have a lot of choices here. They don't just give you one thing and you're stuck with it, instead they give you a menu to choose from and every day you have your choices. Right now, they have cancelled all our activities, but before, we were having a lot of activities until we got locked down. They would bring in outside entertainment, we play bingo, card games and all kinds of stuff like that, but now, we can't do it. The only thing is they don't have a large area on the outside, like hiking trails or walking trails, and that would have been nice if they provided it. They just have a small patio area outside."

"The rooms at Longwood at Oakmont were nice sized. They had an on-site shuttle, activities, transportation to the doctor, shopping, and 24-hour emergency services. They had all the appliances, and you pay for the utilities. If you were sick, you could get tray service. They had housekeeping, cable, and 3 dining rooms. The staff was very nice. They even had Bingo, a beauty shop, cards, yoga classes, a pool, a theater, and plays."

"The staff is very kind and helpful.. The food was terrific and everyone is very friendly. They went out of their way to welcome our whole family....having 5 great grands for lunch along with their parents. John and Michelle and Kristen have removed doors to accommodate a china closet, hung a flat screen and mirrors and have been most friendly and welcoming. "
