We toured The Springs at Happy Valley. It was beautiful. It was like a cruise ship. They have a lot of parking. It's practically new. It's about a year old, so it was spotless. The room was big enough. However, I found the tour guide a bit intense.

My dad was at the Springs at Happy Valley. It's very large. It was very expensive. The rent doesn't cover all the food needs, and my dad felt like he was staying in a four-star hotel. It just wasn't that comfortable feeling that he wanted. It's a very beautiful place and it has a lot of really nice amenities, so he was spending money on something he wasn't using. It's nice for some people, it just wasn't a good fit for him. I hate to be negative about it. My dad was looking for a homey environment, but this place was more like a resort. The facility is very new. However, he didn't have a place to walk his dog, and that's kind of a problem. He had a lot of problems with getting good phone reception, and it wasn't just him, all the staff had issues with their cell phones. With regards to activities, for everybody in general, there were an amazing number of activities. There's a movie theater, a library, a workout room, a little putting range, a swimming pool, and all kinds of rooms. If you were active enough or had those interests, it's really amazing all that they offer.

Everything at The Springs at Happy Valley has been excellent. We've been super impressed with them. They've given my mom a lot of good attention. It's a very nice facility, it was brand new when she moved in. Overall, we really liked it, and the staff has been great. We can't complain about her room, everything's working out great, and she's on the third level. I have nothing bad to say about this company so far; they've been really good. The food is excellent, they have great cooks there. There are a couple of different dining areas, but they're only using one right now because they don't have a lot of people in there. It's a brand-new building and they really have to do a lot of maintenance. They were very agreeable to us moving things around and hanging stuff on the wall, like a TV. The only issue we had that she mentioned to me is they're sorry their internet has turned off a couple of times, otherwise, everything has worked out well. In the restaurant, they have like a full-scale bar, they have an exercise room, a swimming pool, a hot tub, a beauty salon, and they have an art studio that she really enjoys. They have an outside courtyard that they're still finishing up, they have a couple of different TV rooms where you can go and sit by the fireplace and watch TV. It's only been open for about two months, and they have enough activities to keep my mom busy. It costs a lot of money, but it's comparable to other facilities.
