The Briarwood seems very good, and my sister is very happy there. She loves it. She's happy with the food, too. She said they're warm and if you don't like the main dish, you can get hamburgers, hot dogs, or whatever. You get a food selection. They have a courtyard, a walking track, an exercise room, and they play bingo. It's a nursing home and assisted living, and she's in the assisted living. The staff seems very good, too. They've been very helpful whenever I've had questions. They do the cooking, cleaning, and laundry. When they don't have coronavirus, they take them places, but that's all come to a halt because of that.

I had high hopes for this facility. Staff is friendly enough, but leaving my mother there was downright frightening. I feel like I gave up all control of her care. I found her at dinner with an empty O2 tank. In her room without her O2 concentrator even on. She was supposed to have assistance going to the rest room but waited for an hour an a half for someone to come. She finally went in her own. If she would have fallen, she would have laid there for hours. I know her history well and my concerns are not being addressed to my satisfaction. I am frustrated. Rooms are very nice. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. I have no complaints about that. Unfortunately, that does not make up for not having enough staff.

My grandmother lives at The Briarwood. The staff are fantastic!! All of the staff are compassionate and caring. The building is always clean. My family and I never smell foul odors. All the residents look clean and well taken care of. My grandma eats and likes all the meals that are served. We have decided to have her stay long term since the staff have been so wonderful.

Do not place your loved one here. It is not the staff's fault they are understaffed. Mom went there for rehab - and NO ONE CAME TO HELP HER!!! She wet herself several nights and when we showed up in the morning she had 2 pairs of underpants on, and she was supposed to be watched!!! UGH. Hotdogs were served as the MAIN dish for dinner! What??? Oh my. Discharge nurse was fabulous, but no one cared to help her. PT and OT saw her 2 days after her arrival. That was her main purpose being there! Due to the lack of professional help, we immediately removed her. I don't know what the answer is for better care, except PAY the caregivers more than what McDonald's does for heavens sake. People should be more important

I would not recommend my family go to The Briarwood ever. They made promises that they couldn't keep. My dad didn't get the quality of care that he should have been getting. We had several staff members who lied to us there and there were only two staff members that we actually liked. I was there with my mom for three weeks and this is just the worst place. They kept getting high scores, so we thought they were a good place. Their rooms were small and on different occasions it smelled. My dad also said that the food was not good.

My mother and father both live at The Briarwwod. I am very happy with their care. The nurses and STNA's work together to provide excellent care for my parents. Susie Nicely, the head of Nursing, is compassionate and does an excellent job managing the nursing staff. She truly cares for the residents. Jude, the social worker is excellent. If I need to talk to her she is always available. Julie, Debbie and Sarah from the Activities staff have so many things for the residents to do. My mother is enjoying the wonderful activities they have to offer. They had a Halloween party last night for the residents and it was so much fun. The food and music were fantastic. The dining staff are friendly and work hard to serve and please the residents. The food is nutritious. Kathy does a great job making sure the dining staff works together to make this happen. Lastly the STNA,s who provide care for my mother and father work hard to make sure they are happy and comfortable. The receptionist, Denise always greets me as I walk in and has something nice to say. I give the Briarwood five stars.

I did not care for the way my loved one and also another friend were treated. The staff would always look annoyed or hostile when I visited. Why act this way if you have nothing to hide? One resident was dropped while being put in a wheelchair and sustained injury that sent them to ER, and two other residents fell in the short time my loved one was there for rehab, which they failed to do. I noticed feces on the wall near a wastebasket. Not very clean. Residents were often sitting in wheelchairs crying this is so sad. Never saw this in other nursing homes. They also served hot dogs twice in one day. Phones never work either.

Home is dirty and in need of repairs. There has been a cut in staff. My Mother has been allowed to fall several times.

The Briarwood is one of the nicest homes around this area. The nurses are great and the whole staff is very friendly . What we noticed first was how clean the facility is. My husband is very happy there .

We choose The Briarwood because a friend recommends it and it accepts medicare. They have very nice rooms with nice picture windows, freshly painted walls and new carpets. The staff seems friendly. They seem to keep track of my mother quite well. They have beauty shops and church services. They have activities like exercises and bingo.

They are very friendly at Briarwood. They have a central nurse's station which caters to four or five wings. They have a dining room which is not too big as most of the care is in the individual rooms. They all have double rooms but these were small for two people. The place is nice.
