This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a facility that is suppose to care about people. They don't care about the welfare of their patients. There was a person with open sores on his legs and extremely swollen feet and they did nothing for him. I saw another person rolling around on the floor and they just ignored him. If I were you and you have a loved one in this facility get them out of there as soon as you can. There was one nurse we interacted with who seemed to care the other's not so much. They couldn't or wouldn't even answer a direct question.

Don't take your family member to this . My mother was a resident in their Alzheimer's unit, and I removed her... It was pathetic. Much apathy from most staff. I watched residents walk around in soiled pants all the time. They are understaffed ratio-wise and it showed on their disconnected attitude towards the residents. DON'T SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE.

The staff seems very caring However there are not enough employees to take care of there residents properly & is unfair & not safe for the residents. My mom is here & I visit her 5 days a week & all the residents just sit in the dining hall . I have not seen many activities they do

I visited a friends mom here recently, and a while back. I was appalled by the smell and condition of the facility overall. She said she worries that her mom isn't getting the care she needs, but her hands are tied. They are terribly under staffed, and the people who work there are doing the best they can with what they have to work with, well, most of them anyways. I understand there is a large turnover of workers there. From my personal observation, personal hygiene and wound care was poor. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. To the other visitors I spoke with, this place should be shut down.

Hanover House was horrible. Not only did it smell bad, it was not very clean. It needed a lot of attention. We were just very disgusted with the lack of help. My aunt was there for a couple of weeks. As for the staff, I think they did the best they could with what they had. They were hardworking and seemed caring, but there wasn't enough of them. I couldn’t bring myself to eat there. My aunt was having a hard time eating because the meals weren’t very good, she told me. Occasionally they had some bingo for them, but it wasn’t very well structured. They need to improve on housekeeping, building maintenance, and security because there were some issues.

I had my mom and dad in Hanover House and I really like the place. The staff there were really friendly. When my mom first got there I had some small problems but I talk to the staff and the administrator and we resolved the problem. My mom went in for rehab and so did my dad. I do believe if you have a love one in here and you communicate with everyone in the establishment they will have a good stay.

I don't have my own family member or loved one here, but I do work in a nearby hospital. Sometimes we get patients who live at Hanover House and they are always saying wonderful things about the nurses and always want to get back as soon as possible. Obviously, no one wants to be in the hospital, but it's pretty clear that they love their family over at Hanover House. Sometimes the staff even visit the patients when they're with us in the hospital and I think that's really sweet.

My mother is here and I worry what will happen next to her till I can get her out. They are so under staffed and the girls who are working their dont seem to care about the patients. They call them cute names when your with in earshot but have heard a few things when they didnt know someone was around. My mom has had many falls and they dont keep her as clean as they should. Hair uncombed and dirty hands and teeth not brushed. This place needs to be sut down. Desperatly looking for a place to take my mom to. I DO NOT recomend taking your loved one here.

My grandmother was a resident here. Many times she had to wait to use the bathroom because they were short staffed. She could not understand why they made her wait. The nursing staff all seemed very kind and provided good care when they were staffed properly. I would not recommend this facility to someone that requires more assistance from 2 people.

Wait time of 40 minutes to get any assistace from the staff who are always working "by themselves" Only two nurses on the first floor for all the pt. Do not ask to be moved to the second floor. I was wildly impressed with 3 nurses. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE A PATIENT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE STAFFING TO CARE PROPERLY FOR THEM> I do not think that my brother should have to suffer because it is "not in the budget"

My Grandfather has been a resident at this facility for a little over a year now. When my family first toured this facility we were impressed with the cleanliness and the size of the residents rooms. Since my Grandfather has become a resident we've been impressed with his quality of care. And with how the employees there treat him as family. And they try to keep him involved in activities at the facility as well as taking him on outings outside of the facility. The meals prepared for the residents are restaurant quality and taste good enough to please my picky Grandfather. We are very pleased with the care that he receives.
