"My father stayed there for about 6 weeks after his kidneys failed and he was having a hard time adjusting to dialysis. He was still revering from a stroke and had begun dialysis and had gotten really sick. I never expected him to recover but amazingly he was able to move to an assisted living facility after around 6 weeks of care and therapies. he had a private room on the first floor that was clean and nice and private. Private rooms are very rare in Pittsburgh and make such a difference for the patient and the family. I was able to take my children there to visit and it was never unpleasant. I think the first floor is the nice floor with people who are recovering rather than long term residents. I did not worry about him while he was there and trusted that he was happy there even when I wasn't there watching over his care. I may have been lucky because it was a short term stay and my dad loved the therapists. I will never forget the first time I was able to take him out on my own again. I didn't think that would ever happen. "

"My mom has been at Kane Ross Nursing Home for about six weeks now. Everything's going well. The facility is very clean, people there are like family so it's good. I gave it a rating of four. If it were a brand new facility, I would have given it a five. It's an old facility but it's clean. We would recommend this place. "

"Marian Manor Corporation was very clean and very nice. There weren't any odd smells or anything. It was very active, and the residents all seemed very happy. Most of the rooms were private. It was a little too big and on several different floors. I wasn’t sure that my mother would get around too well there because she is a little vision impaired, so that is why we opted out. It was a little pricier than some of them."

"Because this was a County facility, I was very concerned about the quality of the care and of the facility itself. The Kane Regional Facility in Scott Township, however, far exceeded my expectations. The staff was large, well-trained, and compassionate. The building was large and clean, with recreation rooms and an outdoor courtyard. The food was well prepared and nutritious. I was surprised that a government facility as this was actually better than the more expensive private facility my father had been in previously. "

"My great grandmother stayed here. The facility accomodated our large family for her 100th birthday party. Granted they are a small place but it was rather kind of them to do that. My gram was always clean and properly dressed. I visited her often taking her Dilly bars her favorite treat from Dairy Queen. Upon my initial visit to the facility there was a vague odor of urine. It wasn' too bad but then again my great-grandma had 14 kids and over 100 grandchildren so somebody was there everyday. "

"Asbury Heights provides different housing options, from independent living to full and Alzheimer care. The facility is located in a quiet Pittsburgh suburb. St Clair Hospital is less than a mile from the facility. Asbury Heights is very clean and feels more like a home than a nursing facility. There are sidewalks to very nice sitting areas throughout the grounds. The amenities are wonderful, it has its own beauty and barbershop, diner, post office, game rooms, and much more. When visiting Asbury Heights there are plenty of activities for you to do with your loved ones. The staff is attentive and patient, with full focus on the full care patients at all times. The staff that I observed had bonded with their patients. The staff also plans many activities for the residents, there are movie nights, dinner parties, game nights, and for residents living in independent living there are off site activities planned. After visiting many other facilities I found Asbury Heights to be a caring well run home that I highly recommend. "

"Concordia of the South Hills is a beautiful facility. It's like a country club, but I wasn't comfortable with that one. It was also very expensive. It had a lot of good features and the facilities were outstanding. They have a fantastic library and they have a technology area. I didn't have the same feel as the other places where they knew the residents' names and they seemed to have almost a family connection. I just didn't really see that when I was in Concordia."

"I went to Concordia at Villa St Joseph because it was very clean and easy to access. I liked the garden and the room layout. They have rehab. They have a chef that works with some of the people. I knew someone who had been there, and she had commented on how good the food was. It's a little more expensive. I felt that they were very comparable to the other places. The staff was very good. She was there for rehab. The rehab that they gave her did the job. They got her moving, and they got her home."

"My uncle is in Mt Lebanon Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. They've been OK, but with the pandemic, a lot of things have changed. He's been there for at least five years. If you're in that area, the location is OK, but I have never seen a mall or anything near there."
