Masonic Village at Sewickley is about as perfect as perfect could be. Everybody has a large private room. The staff is outstanding, the place is super clean, and I can't say enough about it. Our room is spacious. It doesn't have a kitchen but it has a huge bathroom with its own shower and you don't share rooms with anyone. The place itself is beautiful. There's a walking trail, there are gardens everywhere, there's an indoor swimming pool, and they've also got individual apartments on campus.

I liked Masonic Village at Sewickley's plan and the way they set it up. You enter with an entrance fee and then you pay a monthly fee that never changes. You can go through memory care, assisted living, and nursing home, but the price never changes. It's always the same. In light of how expensive nursing homes are right now, it's a relief to find something that has that plan. The facilities were beautiful and very clean. You have a choice of villas or different size apartments and they were all excellent. If you move into an apartment, they put new carpeting in, new paint, and do upgrades. Some have had new cabinets put in. The dining area was very pleasant. There's also a workout room, an Olympic-sized pool, walking trails, a bus that picks you up, a woodshop, and lots of rooms for different reasons whether it's playing cards or making crafts. There's a little bit of everything. I've seen the list of activities and it's phenomenal.

Masonic Village is a very large community. I've been on a waiting list for almost two years to get an apartment large enough for us. They give preference to their residents. We've eaten there, and the food is excellent. It suited our needs because there were a number of activities right there. There were trips to go grocery shopping, and they make an effort to accommodate the places you are interested in going, too. The grounds were lovely, and you feel good when you're there because you can walk around. They had a fabulous swimming pool, which was one of our needs.

Masonic Village has independent living, assisted living, and memory care. They have a fitness specialist, and they have a therapeutic pool which is really nice. They have exercises that you can do in the water. You feel like you’re in a Sheraton or a Hilton.

Masonic Village at Sewickley was top of the line. The rooms were beautiful. They had apartments, individual houses, and a medical center. It's above average. The dining rooms were very nice. They had classes and a concert in the outside area. I know you buy into it, and they keep you until you die. You have to have a little money to go there. It's large. They had a beautiful swimming pool and do therapy care there.

Masonic Village is like a five star hotel. They have a neighborhood there. I liked the rooms; we saw a double room but the way it’s shaped it looked like a single room since you never see the other person that’s in the double room with you. They have the doctors in the facility, including the haircut, the events, or activities, and they even have like a prom night there. The staff is very nice. You never would know that you were in a facility like that.

My wife loved Masonic Village at Sewickley. I knew everything in it and I liked it too. I had friends that lived there. They had a hospital facility with doctors and everything there too. You could have your meal there in an instant. I had tasted the food and it was very good. The service was great and the people were courteous. The grounds were very well kept. The building was nice and the rooms were nice. I would recommend it, if they could afford it.

I like Masonic Village because of the different step ups in level of care. That was my favorite aspect. You can start with independent living then move on to assisted living later. It's a nice facility. It's just out of my parents' budget range. It felt safe and the people were nice. The staff treated me very well. It seemed like they have a lot of things to do for the residents. It was cold when we were there so you couldn’t see grass but you can tell that they take very good care of the grounds and the inside of the property too. It's really clean and it smelled good. I really liked the dining area. The way it was set up was very pretty. It was nicely decorated and you could smell the food in there. It smelled really good. It was nice and clean there were table cloths, too. I think they get served their food if they can't get their own food. There were waiters and waitresses dressed in uniforms. They also have a workout room where people can exercise. They have a service where they can drive you into town to do things like shopping if you can't drive. My sister and I really liked it. If my parents decided to live there and if it was in their price range, there would be no reason to say no to it.

The Masonic Village at Sewickley was an excellent facility. I wanted to put my mother there. The people were very professional. I really liked the way that the rooms were set up. I was really impressed. That was the best one that I saw.

Masonic Village is the best place in the whole greater Pittsburgh area. They have everything from apartments to townhouses. Their village is so large that they actually have their own private bus service to take you from your villa to the main dining room. You can't wear jeans at dinnertime, you must dress up. Their dinner is buffet and it's restaurant type setting. And you must wait till you are seated. It is the elite of the elite. It used to be exclusive and you're not able to get into it unless you had a relative who was a Mason. You can buy in and they provide lifelong care, but you have to have quite few bucks going in. They're really expensive and they're really, really above and beyond the norm. If you have a dog, you can have a 1 or 2 or 3 bedroom villa.
