"We moved our dad to Lenoir Healthcare. It seems to be a very clean place. The staff is very friendly, helpful and good to this point. They did have a nice activity program. However, my dad isn't really participating very much because of his poor hearing. So far, we have been very pleased and he has been there since the middle of May. I haven't eaten there, but my dad said the food is good. He is doing much better there now. I recommend this facility to others. "

"My Grandmother has been at this facility for over a year. She is very well cared for. She loves the activities and gatherings they have. The building/home is very clean and the residents are encouraged to get up and be active. I would recommend the center to everyone. "

"When i first came into Margate, I couldn't even pick up my own feet. With the care I received at Margate I was able to go home in about 8 weeks. Their therapy team is well knowledged and had me on my feet in no time. The nursing staff is very nice and treat you as if you are family. I really enjoyed the activities that Margate provided and loved the petting zoo. "

"My husband is in Glenbridge Health and Rehab. It was a good place for the first 4 months my husband was there, before the blizzard in December. They provided excellent services. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but now they are understaffed because people could not go to work. The food was terrible. They have lots of activities for their residents. They have bingo, and balloon tennis, and they've had so many Christmas carolers in. They have discussion groups, and music therapy once a week from the university."

"My mother-in-law received exceptional care from The Foley Center. Her stay lasted a little over a month. The nurses, CNAs, and administrators were very attentive. The family was very pleased with her stay. Thank you for assisting in her care."

"I went to Hickory Falls Health & Rehabilitation for rehab. It was good. I had a room to myself, although I think it was meant to be a double. It was a big room with a nice-sized bathroom. The staff that I met were fine. However, they did not warn me that a young man might be sent in to help me up off the toilet. It was a real shock, but I got used to it. The young men who worked there were very professional. I was there for two or three weeks. The food was fine. I didn't have any trouble with it. I never saw any problems. I would recommend it."

"Shaire Center is very clean. They have a very friendly staff and all of the residents are dressed, alert, and well cared for. They have plenty of nice spaces for visits as well as incredibly nice rooms. Each different unit has its own activities list appropriate to them. Plus, they have in-house physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. For memory care, they have games, sing-alongs, and worship services. They were the best of any place we visited."

"I visited a friend of ours at Trinity Village in Hickory. She's in their assisted living. The place was very nice. It's clean. It's decorated very pretty, and there's no bad smell. All the time, I see on Facebook that they do activities with their people. It's just overall a good place, and the staff was great. They do all kinds of arts and crafts and have all kinds of functions going on for the residents."

"The rooms are adequate. I was in a semi-private room and my roommate was a sweetheart. The bed had several issues with the remote and horizontal lift. Staff was responsive to my needs. I enjoyed bingo & pizza party as activities. Amenities include bird enclosure with the tiniest birds. The whole facility was clean and inviting."

"Yadkin Nursing Care Center is close to our home, and that's where my mother wanted to go. She has been there since November. It's clean and doesn't smell. The workers are all local, they're nice and friendly, and we know them. The staff give us whatever is needed and whatever is expected. They do have activities like bingo, sing-alongs, zumba, exercises, spa day, bake sales, cooking, reading time, book club, and games. "

"My 21 year old son who is autistic and a diabetic had to have an MRI this morning at iredell memorial Hospital and he had to be sedated by anesthesia because he couldn't stay completely still for long enough to do it. We had a great experience from the check in to registration to outpatient to recovery everyone was wonderful to us. They gave me updates while he was in the MRI room and the nurse in recovery offered me some soda and peanut butter crackers that I was very grateful for since I hadn't had any breakfast that morning! Everyone was so patient and caring with him being autistic. They even gave him a little stuffed lion toy. They were great to us and I would definitely recommend them!"

"My grandfather fell and fractured his back. Iredell Memorial wanted him to go to their skilled unit but when we seen that the room was extremely small and outdated, we decided to visit the other facilities. We decided to give Brian Center a try because when we went to tour, it was family oriented and the residents were busy and very active. The other two nursing homes had very little activity going on. We saw most of the residents in their rooms. I am so happy we made this choice. My grandfather received good nursing care, great therapy and a had a blast with the activities they had. The surgeon's said that he may never walk again, it has been a little over a year since he has been at Brian Center and thanks to God and the staff at Brian Center he walks as good as I do. We still visit every few months because he met some very nice people and made some friends for life. Thanks Brian Center. "

"This is a great place, it is clean, the staff are kind and caring and helpful to the patients and families. They have different things to do each day, bingo, church, music etc. I don't have enough words to say about therapy, they have helped my grandmother so much. I did not think she would ever get to the point of walking again. I don't have to worry about my grandmother being taken care of, I know she is and she is happy as well with her progress.
