"We moved our dad to Lenoir Healthcare. It seems to be a very clean place. The staff is very friendly, helpful and good to this point. They did have a nice activity program. However, my dad isn't really participating very much because of his poor hearing. So far, we have been very pleased and he has been there since the middle of May. I haven't eaten there, but my dad said the food is good. He is doing much better there now. I recommend this facility to others. "

"My husband has been here since September after a serious fall. The exercise pt and the speech therapy have been helpful. The staff has been kind and caring and they have been helping with his nutritional needs. I am very grateful to them for taking such good care of him. ❤ The rooms are nice and kept clean "

"My husband is in Glenbridge Health and Rehab. It was a good place for the first 4 months my husband was there, before the blizzard in December. They provided excellent services. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but now they are understaffed because people could not go to work. The food was terrible. They have lots of activities for their residents. They have bingo, and balloon tennis, and they've had so many Christmas carolers in. They have discussion groups, and music therapy once a week from the university."

"My mother is in The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge. The staff has done really well so far. They have been remarkable. They do things like her hair, her nails, and her personal hygiene. She does exercises and all kinds of stuff. She also attends church, bingo, and different things. They have really done well communicating and helping me get her squared away. She loves the food there, and they have activities all day, every day. They have plenty to do. They take care of everything I asked for. The facilities are really nice and clean. They do a lot to work with them. I don't think you get what you pay for in any of these places; they're all overpriced. I think it's a money-making racket. They're after the seniors' money, and they get it."

"My dad is in Hickory Falls. They have three units, one for long-term care, and two rehab units. They offer onsite occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and they do skilled nursing care. They do local transportation to doctor's appointments and things like that. He has a private room with a full private bathroom. The nursing staff is wonderful and they're on top of all his needs. He's very happy, it's nicer than a hospital setting, and it's homier."

"I have frequented this facility for the last 4 weeks at all different hours and never been in any facility that was cleaner or been taken care of better than this one. The property is beautiful and serene and the staff is friendly and caring toward the residents and visitors. The staff plans activities with the residents such as bingo and though it may seem simple I love the fact that they paint their fingernails and chat with them. They don't even overlook these small things that make the female residents feel pretty. I have frequently been in the kitchen areas and they are clean also. I'm a serious germaphobe so this is huge for me to say. I have done work in many of these types of facilities and this is one of only two that I would put a family member or myself in. I cannot say enough good things about The Shaire Center. I highly recommend it!"

"I visited a friend of ours at Trinity Village in Hickory. She's in their assisted living. The place was very nice. It's clean. It's decorated very pretty, and there's no bad smell. All the time, I see on Facebook that they do activities with their people. It's just overall a good place, and the staff was great. They do all kinds of arts and crafts and have all kinds of functions going on for the residents."

"I went to Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Viewmont. They are nice people, and they do a pretty good job. The facilities were nice enough -- not anything fancy -- and clean and spacious for the most part. I liked that the staff working there were really nice. It's a basic, standard nursing home. They have a dining hall, an activity hall where they get together and do singing, bingo, and different games, and have sermons on Sundays. Food is served to their rooms or at the dining hall, whichever they want to do."

"Yadkin Nursing Care Center is close to our home, and that's where my mother wanted to go. She has been there since November. It's clean and doesn't smell. The workers are all local, they're nice and friendly, and we know them. The staff give us whatever is needed and whatever is expected. They do have activities like bingo, sing-alongs, zumba, exercises, spa day, bake sales, cooking, reading time, book club, and games. "

"My 21 year old son who is autistic and a diabetic had to have an MRI this morning at iredell memorial Hospital and he had to be sedated by anesthesia because he couldn't stay completely still for long enough to do it. We had a great experience from the check in to registration to outpatient to recovery everyone was wonderful to us. They gave me updates while he was in the MRI room and the nurse in recovery offered me some soda and peanut butter crackers that I was very grateful for since I hadn't had any breakfast that morning! Everyone was so patient and caring with him being autistic. They even gave him a little stuffed lion toy. They were great to us and I would definitely recommend them!"

"I would highly recommend Brian Center of Lincolnton. I visit this facility on a weekly basis through volunteering with my church group which holds a church singing/song service for the residents. The facility is always clean, always smells very sterile, and residents always appear well-cared for. The staff always appear to be attentive to their needs and treat the residents with compassionate care. There is never any clutter or visible food crumbs, though our meetings are held in the cafeteria area somewhat close to the end of meal time for the residents who do not have their meals taken to them in their rooms. The staff always make sure the residents who wish to participate are taken to the meeting place with enough time to socialize, and residents are taken back to the rooms by the caring staff once our meetings are over. They appear to be going the extra mile at the facility for the elderly they work for. Residents always appear clean, even those whose medical conditions prohibit them from performing basic tasks such as washing their face, soaking dentures, or even going to the restroom on their own. "

"I had to have major hip surgey. After the hip surgery I was admitted into the Brian Center for rehabilatation and physical therapy. I was only 33 years old at the time. This is a nursing facility so they were kind enough to give me a private room. The food was not to bad and neither were the snacks. The only complaint I had about the Brian Center is that they only had decaf coffee. The activities were not to bad either. Even though I was only 33 at the time I actually took part in one of the activaties. They had a talent contest that the residents of the Brian center competed in. I competed by reciting one of my original poems. Although I did not win the talent show it was a good experiance that I am glad I had. The staff at the Brian Center was wonderful also. I especially liked my time in physical therapy. Although it was very painful and very hard work the PT staff made it fun. All in All I liked staying at the Brian Center. I met some good people. Even though they were olderthan me I will consider thse people friends of mine for the rest of my life. Even if I never see them or speak to them again. "

"This review is not so-much about how nice the rooms are (They are really nice) or how nice the amenities are. The staff is what I want to talk about. My stay was about 10 days the staff on my hall was like a big family and they made me feel at home as soon as I met them. The girls that worked on my hall always answered the call light promptly. I had just been discharged from another Rehab facility near Charlotte a week earlier and didn't have a good experience and was hesitant to go to another facility. I was pleasantly surprised immediately. The PT staff was very good at there job. They made me stronger and it gave me more self esteem from there encouragement during and after PT sessions. If I ever need to go to a rehab facility I am going to request Maple Leaf rehab. "

"The CNA's at Willowbrook are very kind, gently, and very knowledgeable of their job assignments. The CNA's are fun to be around, they make you laugh, and very courteous. They make sure if I have appointments that I get there on time. They have great personalities. They take their time helping you even though they have other residents to assist. Very kind people who I enjoy being around daily. The facility is exceptionally well kept and the meals are also wonderful. "
