I am a very concerned family member. I have a family member that has been in several different nursing homes over the past 4 years! When my family member came to this nursing home in excellent health except for dementia, within a 6 month time period, his/her health depleted! Due to neglect and a very careless staff, patient was drugged to bed rest! Lost a total of 21lbs in 1 month! Patient could not even wake up to eat due to the drugs they had patient on! Finally, a pharmacist refused to continue to prescribe the patient's medicine in such large doses! The patient tried to get up, when the meds started to wear off, after losing all strength in legs and fell. Bruised head, skin tears all of over left arm and a broken hip! Leading to now, a surgery to repair the hip and 6 months of rehabilitation! This nursing home needs to be put out of business and the patients left in this facility needs to be moved to a home where they will receive much better care!!! Please if you have a family member at this facility, keep a close eye on them! Dont end up like our family, mad, hurt, and furious!
