"I was pleased with Grace Heights Health & Rehab. I have several friends that stay over there. The staff was very knowledgeable and very nice. The rooms are good size, the common areas are very nice, and it seemed like a very clean facility. But they're very expensive for me. "

"I feel that this place is a wonderful place for people who are looking for a nursing home, the staff really feels like they care. For holidays, they try to cheer up the residents by having them still celebrate holidays as much as they can. They get carolers and cards from people. I really love how the rooms are set up and wish they had more volunteers to come and spend time with the residents, the residents can be a bit lonely living there and could use a fresh face and some conversation. "

"My husband was at Trinity Village. The grounds were pretty. There needs to be more maintenance, especially in the private rooms such as, just painting and cleaning and so forth. The staff was really good. The services he was presented were well done, but he was not able to take part in activities other than physical therapy. They have an outside area and they have a crafts room. He was only there for three weeks. He was in an area for receiving people and acclimating them to the facility. From what I saw, the food was very well done. I noticed one day when I was there for lunch, that they were having fried chicken, and the staff was removing the outer coating on the chicken for the residents who could not eat the hard crispy chicken."

"We actually have taken an opening at Trinity Ridge, and we happen to be in Connecticut trying to pack my mother’s things so we can drive her back down there. Trinity Ridge did a really good tour. They were very upfront, and told me a lot of information that was important to me about individualizing things for my mother. They gave me a run down on the kinds of things they do to make it safer, and then she said that none of those things work perfectly for everybody. They just are very creative, and continue to work on it with each individual. I thought, "This is what I need." This one had doctors there at the facility two days a week. They also have lab, and x-ray facilities. They got back to me, worked with me, and this has been a really big process for them because the snow storm held me up. We thought that we could get her there last week, but now it’s going to be Monday before we could get there. They’ve been really easy going about it. Another thing that was important that other people didn’t tell us in the beginning; it was really critical that where we have my mother moved to from her home would have a Medicaid continuum. When she runs out of money, and she’s going to need a Medicaid bed. The other thing they said was that hospice comes to their facility every single day so I would never have to move her again, and that makes all the difference in the world to me. "

"I would highly recommend Brian Center of Lincolnton. I visit this facility on a weekly basis through volunteering with my church group which holds a church singing/song service for the residents. The facility is always clean, always smells very sterile, and residents always appear well-cared for. The staff always appear to be attentive to their needs and treat the residents with compassionate care. There is never any clutter or visible food crumbs, though our meetings are held in the cafeteria area somewhat close to the end of meal time for the residents who do not have their meals taken to them in their rooms. The staff always make sure the residents who wish to participate are taken to the meeting place with enough time to socialize, and residents are taken back to the rooms by the caring staff once our meetings are over. They appear to be going the extra mile at the facility for the elderly they work for. Residents always appear clean, even those whose medical conditions prohibit them from performing basic tasks such as washing their face, soaking dentures, or even going to the restroom on their own. "

"My mom is in Valley Nursing Home because she needs skilled nursing now. The place smells good, and the people are nice to her. I have eaten lunch with her, and the food is pretty good. They keep her clean, and they are good to her. They have different kind of rooms. Right now, she shares a room. They have activities like they have all kinds of crafts, music, devotions, and church services, and they have rooms that they can watch TV if they don't watch it in their own room. Sometimes they have movies. They have a whole schedule of activities that they can go to. The best thing about it is that it is close to her family and her friends, and it smells good. I have been to some places that did not smell good. I think it is a fine place for my mother right now. "

"This is a beautiful place with the most wonderful caregivers. My only complaint is communicating with the office. When I leave messages during business hours I rarely get a call back from admissions nor the center’s director’s . The nurses on the halls answer almost immediately. Maybe a place for improvement. "My husband's stepmom is in Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She has her mind, but she's physically not in shape, so they have to do everything for her. She is in a wheelchair. They're really good. She needs 24-hour care and has to wear Depends, and they bathe her. She will go play bingo every once in a while. She has been in there since last October, and my husband's dad was also there for a little while. "

"I visit patients atleast once a week and when you walk through the front doors the front desk is very friendly, the cna's work their tales off trying to keep up. It is a clean facility but from speaking to employees and observing you can clearly see favorites in some departments. I am speaking of mainly kitchen area. The supervisor should be fair with work load. The gossiping and trash talk i have heard from that area should be stopped. Certain employees sit or stand around with the supervisor while a few work. There seems to be too much drama that leaks out into the halls. I realize they are more behind closed doors but it is clear things need to change in that area. The nurses station also should work on not ignoring people when someone stands at desk needing help. The housekeepers do a very nice job keeping it clean and are very friendly when passing in the halls. The physical therapy seems to work very hard with patients to get them back on their feet. The grounds is always clean and neat. Investigate your troubled areas and fix it and you will have a great facility. "

"I visited a friend at Abernethy Laurels. It was very nice, and she loves it. They have several dining areas, and they too are nice. The staff seemed very nice from what I could see. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place. "

"The Life Care staff was so good to our mom and our family! They treated her wonderfully and was there anytime she needed them. Physical therapy was awesome with her too! Very caring atmosphere, clean facilities, good food. Highly recommended for anyone. "

"The staff was very nice and very helpful at Sunrise Rehabilitation Center. They gave us good information. We looked at the rooms and some of the areas around. The rooms are nice and seem to be really good. The facility was clean, and I was very pleased with them. "

"My father is at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They're nice people. I think he fits in really good there. The staff are nice and friendly. He has dementia, so he is in a locked facility. His room is nice. He shared a room with another gentleman. It's a nice place. So far, so good."
