"My mom was at Burlington Woods for rehab, so I know that she is going to be fine there. Last time I visited was about a week ago. They have dialysis and arts and crafts. The staff was wonderful. I don't think they would do anything to hurt her. The place was clean."

"We toured Masonic Village at Burlington. We saw the main building. We did not look at the individual cottages. It was lovely. We were interested in it, but it's a little bit too far for us from Trenton. The staff during the tour was very nice. We looked at the menu, but we didn't taste anything. There were a lot of people around doing things. We were impressed, but the distance was a little too far."

"Marcella Center was the only place close by that I could find that allowed Mom to pay, and then when her money runs out, get Medicaid. It's a very nice memory center. The staff is very caring and working on trying to understand my mother because she was new. They're very nice. We like it a lot. Her room is like a hospital room, and she has a roommate. It has a small closet, hospital table, dresser, and room on the walls for pictures. She can put up cards and things on the big bulletin board. They've been trying to get her to color or do things like that, but she's not interested. The grounds are very pretty and there are outside areas. I've seen the menu, and it looked good. It's very expensive until you get on Medicaid. They provide all your medicines and personal needs, so it's a good value."

"My brother is now a resident of SilverLake. I live 3000 miles away and because of the fantastic staff it has been an easy transition for my brother and our family. The staff is so professional, helpful, kind and responsive. They have worked with my brother’s dietary needs. Stand out staff members are Lisa, Asia, Eileen and Jasmine. They are an 11 out of 10. "I was in this facility for 75 days. My right leg had a below knee amputation. From the minute I was brought in, the nurses, The CNA's, the PT and OT therapist, the best. Maria, Stephen, Terrance, Jocelyn, Diane, Adi, Delores, Shemica, Sabrina all the best, all nurses. My CNA's. Erica, Rona,Gerline, Uchena, Ricky, Charlene, Franchesca, Sandra. PT. Ms Lauren the best, OT Kate all the best. I would have never made it without them. I am healing at.home for the past 2 months. If I forgot anyone, I am sorry. But how did Virtua manage to get a great team, like these people on all 3 shifts. I have been through lots of rehabs with my mom, this one the best. I encourage anyone who needs rehab, visit Virtua first!"

"CareOne was very nice. My late husband stayed there in July, August and September of last year. I lived nearby and I do know from their reputation that it was highly rated. The place was clean, the care and the staff were very nice. However, like every place, they have excellent employees but some weren't as quite as excellent. By and large though, it was a very nice place. I was there probably about six or seven hours a day so I knew the type of care people were getting. I could see other patients, a lot with Parkinson's, etc., and they got very good care. They had very good physical therapy center. They were very nice. The food was also good. I would definitely recommend them and there's not many that I would recommend. "

"I was able to see Evergreens. They had a lot of people working there, they had a lot of nurses, and they took care of everything. If my mother was in assisted living, I would say that's where she should be, but she needs special care. The Evergreens was my favorite and they had everything. They had gyms and even a pool, but in the nursing home I don't like what they have there for what my mother needs."

"My wife is at Cambridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It is a seriously nice place. The facility is so well taken care of. The staff is good. They think past what you're asking and provide more than you ask for. It's just terrific. Food is good, too. The building is impeccable. I've never even seen dust anywhere. It's just beautiful. Every day, they have more than one activity. They have several games. A counselor sits down with my wife and plays to improve her memory or at least slow the loss of memory down. So they have some hands-on things they do with her every day, not only to occupy her mind but also to improve it. They have outdoor decks, too. And for assisted living, you can have your own car there. They have resident parking."

"From the first time I met with the staff, I felt a warm and professional vibe from Langhorne Gardens, (herinafter, LG). We were in a real bind - needed a place for my in laws because their assets were rapidly becoming depleted. Both have advanced dementia, and very few places will accept 2 people in one room at one time. I was told things like, "One year waiting list" from a lot of the other places we looked at. Although my father in law went in through the hospital after he fell, LG allowed my mother in law to move in 2 weeks later. When I compare LG to the private pay facility where they had been living for the past 2 years, it's shocking. The staff at LG take the time to speak to every resident that they pass. They know them by name, they treat them respectfully, and they act like professionals. In our experience at the 'other' place, located in Newtown, staff would avoid resident's eyes, never set up a line of communication for families - I could go on. At LG, i we have a question, we email the Social Services office and they respond! The activities directors are friendly and outgoing and, although it's only been 2 weeks, we are very happy with LG. "

"My husband is in Delaware Valley Veterans Home. It is clean, and he seems happy there. He is well taken care of; he has all that he needs. For the most part, he says the food is pretty good. I have been there a few times and I talked to the nurses and staff. I believe it is a good place, because if it wasn’t good, my husband wouldn’t be there. However, the social workers and the staff need to understand from the family's perspective, what the real situation is. Like for example, because he has brain injury, he is saying things to them that are not true. Though I try to explain to them the certain habits that he has, they took his words as true. I have been dealing with this kind of behavior for the past five years, so I really think they need to get together with the family and get a background of the person first. They let him change his monthly check into a whole new account without letting me know, but that is my income also since I am still his wife. There are house payments to make and bills to pay. I asked the attorney “Why are you allowing him to change his checks? I have his bills I have to pay”. He says “Oh well, you know if he is able to speak for himself, then, we have to do it”. I had one heck of a time changing that back. It almost destroyed my whole life. However, everything is sorted out now and hopefully they will not let him go to another bank. "
