Complete Care at Marcella

I would give a negative rating but “1” is the lowest option. Please do NOT take your loved one to Marcella Center, Burlington NJ. My loved one was using a walker when I took him there for 4 day respite care. He left out the 2nd day on a stretcher. My family went to visit him on day 2 of his stay. He was lying on a bed in mid day with no clothes on. The bed was saturated with his urine. He was not responsive and the staff was clueless about whether he had meds or what was his last BP reading. They left my family in the room alone to call the ambulance for help. They did not give a previous stroke patient with hypertension his meds. Now my loved one is worse with a possibility of not recovering. They have not even called to check on his condition, not that I want to talk to them. Please RUN from this place. If this place is your only option for care you’re better off keeping your loved one at home.

Marcella Center was the only place close by that I could find that allowed Mom to pay, and then when her money runs out, get Medicaid. It's a very nice memory center. The staff is very caring and working on trying to understand my mother because she was new. They're very nice. We like it a lot. Her room is like a hospital room, and she has a roommate. It has a small closet, hospital table, dresser, and room on the walls for pictures. She can put up cards and things on the big bulletin board. They've been trying to get her to color or do things like that, but she's not interested. The grounds are very pretty and there are outside areas. I've seen the menu, and it looked good. It's very expensive until you get on Medicaid. They provide all your medicines and personal needs, so it's a good value.
