"We moved my mother to Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and it's been fantastic. They've been taking really good care of her. They have been taking wonderful care of her. They are very affectionate and loving, the facility is very homey. She's in memory care, so they have activities for different cognitive levels, but she's not able to do it. They get her up in a chair, and they sit her in an atrium with skylights that looks out onto the woods. They have bird feeders and squirrel feeders, so for the residents that can't participate, they can at least watch nature. She's in the memory care unit, which is separate from skilled nursing. They have a psychiatrist and a doctor that comes on-site. They have a beautician, but it's been scaled back because of Covid. I got to feed her dinner, and it looked fantastic. I didn't eat any of it, but it looked great. They have meal supplements when they don't, eat a meal, or they give them like a protein shake. She had a protein shake because she doesn't eat a whole lot, but she did eat a little. It was a balanced meal, it had meat and vegetables. They have memory care segregated separately from the regular. They've got an alarm door, where you have to have a passcode to get in and out, and it's really good."

"I have 2 family members who live here. One on the skilled unit and one on the memory care. Both are very well taken care of for their own specific diagnosis!"

"The staff is very personable, they did the best they could with what they have, and they did everything for my friend with her needs. They have physical therapy, television, and bingo, but they should have an area where the patients could go outside, like the tables and umbrellas and that kind of thing to sit up and enjoy. "

"Most of the staff really seemed to genuinely care about the residents at this facility, however, some did not. The facility appeared to be under staffed quite frequently. The residents did appear to be treated kindly and seemed happy at this facility. The staff that was there appeared to put forth extra effort to ensure their residents safety and happiness. The entire nursing staff seemed to work together most of the time I was able to observe their manners. Most of the residents there never seemed to express any discomfort about being there. However, there were a few that did not understand the circumstances they were in and why they were there at all. The staff there made the residents feel at home. The overall upkeep and maintenance of the facility seemed to be in check and working order. The residents with specific requirements were able to maintain all the equipment necessary. "

"I think that it was a very nice facility and very clean. While working there I think that they took very good care of the residents and were very friendly. During my uncles stay there he was very happy with everything. "

"Potosi Manor was very cluttered and disorganized. We did not see anyone. We were not introduced to any of the staff, except one individual. It felt like it was very rigid and very impersonal. They refused us. We talked to one administrator and an office aide; we did not get to interact with anyone else. The rooms were OK. The restrooms were not close by for a person who needed them. The male to female ratio was far higher (like one in eight) in that facility."

"The Woodlands of Arnold was a small facility. I know someone who lives there, and I was given a tour by that person. I was really impressed by the entire staff. They knew everybody there. They'd walk by someone and say hello with their name. The dining room appeared to be extremely clean. My mother eventually was going to have to go on Medicaid, but they had four to a room for Medicaid patients, and that stressed me a little bit. My mother's friend lives there, and we've gone several times to visit her. The staff was always very helpful in getting my mom to her friend's room because she was in a wheelchair. Even the director who showed us around knew all the patients by name. There was a whole calendar of events including music, exercises even for wheelchairs, talks, and they had a chapel where they held various services for various congregations. They also take patients out shopping. The activities seemed to be very adequate. "

"I've been in South County Nursing Home for four years now. In the last four months, we've been going through a drastic change because the nursing home has been sold to Reliant. The staff has changed, but from what I have experienced in the past four months, everybody is awesome. We've got anywhere from a different cook all the way down to the CNAs. I can't say anything bad about the experience I personally have gone through. I've been treated very well. I have a roommate, and it's set up just like in a hospital. It is a semi-private room. We have very limited space for clothes and closet space, and things like that. We share a bathroom with another resident in the next room. It'll be about 45, 50 years old. It's not modern at all. We've had a new chef in the last couple of weeks, and he's trying. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 5. We don't get any fresh fruit, bananas, or oranges. All our fruit comes out of a can or something like that. That's my biggest complaint, and a lot of carbs. We eat a lot of potatoes with gravy, or everything has gravy on it. We have a residential council, and I'm the president of all the residents here. We have a social council meeting once a month, and I speak up in the meeting for all of the residents. If they have a complaint about the shower rooms or the laundry service or whatever, instead of everybody trying to put in their two cents, I am elected to speak for them. We have an activity department that two ladies run, and basically, all they really do for us is bingo. They have a Bible study one hour out of the week, and very few residents take any part in that. They have exercise, and very few residents take any part in that as well, but the bingo is what really pulls everybody together. Up until four months ago, pretty much everybody was 50 and over. Now we even have three or four residents here who are totally blind. They were very careful about who they let come here to live, but now they pretty much take anybody off the street. We even have one man who is on house arrest in which four months ago wouldn't have been considered. They have two dining areas, one for one-half of the building. They call it the front dining room and the back dining room. As a resident here, the State requires them to pay us like anywhere from $30 to $50 spending money. In the last four months, it's been very difficult getting our pay. We were promised the last three days that we would be paid again today. Our pay comes in on the third and fourth of every month, and it is the seventh or eighth today, and we still haven't been paid."

"I've been visiting Camelot Nursing and Rehabilitation Center a lot within the last month, ever since my grandmother moved into their Orthopedic Recovery wing after her surgery. The rooms in the Orthopedic Wing are decently sized and I haven't noticed any issues with cleanliness yet. The wing my grandmother is staying in has a nurse and two aids to assist the patients and the therapy department is on the same hall. The two aids are really wonderful people who answer call lights promptly and take care of their patients. The therapists have made great strides with my grandmother. Not only have they made great strides with helping my grandmother walk again, but they are among some of the nicest people I've ever met. The day nurse (I haven't met the night shift nurse yet) is truly excellent at her job and really cares about her patients. The food served is a lot better than what one might expect and the patients have the option to eat in their rooms, though therapy hopes my grandmother will be walking to the dining room in time. All in all, Camelot is a great nursing center and I'm glad that I can trust these people to take care of someone I love. "

"Southbrook was great. It was a very beautiful place. It was a brand-new facility and very clean. Whenever I would walk by somebody, they were all very nice. No matter what part of the building I was in, all the people that I saw there were very nice. The rooms were bigger. They did not have carpets in them, which was a plus. The showers are bigger there. The dining area was also very nice and set up like a restaurant."

"My parents lived in Presbyterian Manor. Everything was wonderful, and we loved the staff. They were just too far away, and we wanted to move them closer to me. "

"I have a friend who lives there now. I am very impressed with the place. The nursing staff are very nice, the nurses stay on top of my friends issues. The food has gotten a lot better over the last few weeks. no odors which is a big plus. probably could use a few updates because its an older building but overall, its comfortable there and my friend likes it. There's been a lot of changes over the last year or so but for the most part, its been positive changes. I would recommend Marymount Manor"
