The staff is very personable, they did the best they could with what they have, and they did everything for my friend with her needs. They have physical therapy, television, and bingo, but they should have an area where the patients could go outside, like the tables and umbrellas and that kind of thing to sit up and enjoy.

After my father had a stroke, he was placed into Cedar Ridge Manor at the request of a family member who had recently started working there. From the beginning, things were a nightmare. First, there were no telephones in the room. We were told that we would have to order individual telephone service to be installed in the room if we wanted to be able to contact our father. Secondly, the staff just didn't seem to care. My father would hit his button to alert the staff that he needed something and it could sometimes take a half hour to get anyone there. As someone who could not get himself out of bed, sometimes the long wait would mean the difference between making it to the bathroom and having an accident on himself. At one point, I walked into the room, saw his light on and helped him to the bathroom and back into bed. When I walked to the desk to see why no one had answered his call, I find the nurses just sitting around talking and laughing. My father was rarely bathed and his overall care was poor. I would not recommend Cedar Ridge Manor to anyone who cares about their loved ones.
