"I cannot express the love and care my mom and dad got from everyone at Brooking Park. The nursing staff knew their needs and took care of them always at the right time. The food has a diverse blend of all group needs, and spiced right. We had many friends for lunch or dinner, and everyone was very pleased. The entertainment was wonderful, the outings were always fun. They kept everyone very busy if they wanted to join in. I was very lucky that my parents were cared for to this high level before they passed. Please for all of you reading this, just go and see what I experienced to get the best care for your loved one. "

"We were going to get Mom in Mcclay Senior Care, but before she could be transported over there, she passed away. It was big and clean. The facility is only four years old. The people were nice and very accommodating for the short period of time that we were there. The staff was nice and friendly. It was very clean. Mom was gonna be there for hospice."

"I like it best that the Woodlands is a duplex. It has a yard, we have help if we need it, there is lunch five days a week and the food is fairly good. Everything is very clean and very nice. It is for both my parents and they both have a bathroom, a laundry area, a living room, a dining room, and two bedrooms. The staff members are very nice and very helpful. I would recommend it because it provides assisted living, so you don't have to worry about your parents. It is very nice and very clean, the staff answers all our questions. It also has security and 911 if you need it. "

"I've been in South County Nursing Home for four years now. In the last four months, we've been going through a drastic change because the nursing home has been sold to Reliant. The staff has changed, but from what I have experienced in the past four months, everybody is awesome. We've got anywhere from a different cook all the way down to the CNAs. I can't say anything bad about the experience I personally have gone through. I've been treated very well. I have a roommate, and it's set up just like in a hospital. It is a semi-private room. We have very limited space for clothes and closet space, and things like that. We share a bathroom with another resident in the next room. It'll be about 45, 50 years old. It's not modern at all. We've had a new chef in the last couple of weeks, and he's trying. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 5. We don't get any fresh fruit, bananas, or oranges. All our fruit comes out of a can or something like that. That's my biggest complaint, and a lot of carbs. We eat a lot of potatoes with gravy, or everything has gravy on it. We have a residential council, and I'm the president of all the residents here. We have a social council meeting once a month, and I speak up in the meeting for all of the residents. If they have a complaint about the shower rooms or the laundry service or whatever, instead of everybody trying to put in their two cents, I am elected to speak for them. We have an activity department that two ladies run, and basically, all they really do for us is bingo. They have a Bible study one hour out of the week, and very few residents take any part in that. They have exercise, and very few residents take any part in that as well, but the bingo is what really pulls everybody together. Up until four months ago, pretty much everybody was 50 and over. Now we even have three or four residents here who are totally blind. They were very careful about who they let come here to live, but now they pretty much take anybody off the street. We even have one man who is on house arrest in which four months ago wouldn't have been considered. They have two dining areas, one for one-half of the building. They call it the front dining room and the back dining room. As a resident here, the State requires them to pay us like anywhere from $30 to $50 spending money. In the last four months, it's been very difficult getting our pay. We were promised the last three days that we would be paid again today. Our pay comes in on the third and fourth of every month, and it is the seventh or eighth today, and we still haven't been paid."

"My father has moved into Delmar Gardens South. It's been very good. They've been pretty quick to react to anything that we bring up, and they've helped a lot in getting Medicaid certification completed. They have helped us with the monthly payments until Medicaid is approved. They took good care of my mother until she died, and they're taking good care of my dad. He's in an Alzheimer's ward, and it's clean, and it's not overly big, but it's sufficient. They have other facilities there for him to watch TV in and the dining hall is nice. Everything is pretty nice there. He likes the food and he gets along with the staff well. He's content there. He's not receiving full skilled nursing care like my mother did. He can dress himself and feed himself. He's self-sufficient in a lot of ways, but he's not in reality anymore. They watch TV. They play cards. They have church services there. It looks very nice, clean and cheerful. They seem to have plenty of staff, but it shocks me how much that kind of care costs."

"My wife has been a resident at Bethesda Southgate in the memory care area for a little over 2 years. I chose southgate after visiting many different locations. I have had some experience in the past with elder family members at other facilities and I had a good idea of what to look for and what to avoid. The first thing that was apparent to me was the cleanliness of the facility. It was and remains odor free. The staff was and remains very personable and interested in not only my wife but our family. Because my wife, who has aphasia, tends to wander security had to be high on my list of needs and southgate has always provided for that level of care. During the pandemic we continue to have to deal with, I have been very pleased with the way Administration at the facility has gone above and beyond to continue to provide a safe and secure living environment. We have all had to make sacrifices and southgate has made those as painless as possible. I am very glad I chose southgate and have to emphasize the friendly and caring atmosphere, the extremely competent management and the cleanliness of the facility. I have to also offer that the meals are well above what one might expect."
