We had to put my husband in the hospital, and they are going to put him in a nursing home. He was in there about eight years ago for rehab. I liked it because they never knew when I was going to pop in. It is affiliated with St. Anthony's Hospital. The place is clean, I like that there is no way you can smell urine or something. The smell in it is more like a home environment. It is comfortable, and they make you feel that you can come visit any time that you want. They don't have a set time for family members to come and visit. You can spend overnight with them if you want to; it is OK because they have their own room. So I think it is kind of a push to make them want to get better -- the homelike environment. It is a nursing home, but it has got some sense of a home in it. It is a professional but a homey environment. The caregivers are very attentive to the residents. Like I said, I like it, and if I had to pay a little bit out of my pocket, I wouldn't mind because it is worth it.
