"Our Lady of Peace is a lovely place and I've been there several times. It's got all different kinds of areas. It has assisted living and memory care and I've been in all of those areas. That community is very nice and I've asked information about that place for my son-in-law's parents. We interacted with more people there. We were served with a meal, but it wasn't the typical meal because it was for Christmas. They had a big buffet for friends, family, and visitors, and it wasn't the regular sit down meal that the residents would have, but it was good. I've never seen the rooms, just the amenities, and they were very nice. I don't have any idea about the activities other than the fact that they entice us to sing."

"I was very pleased with my month long stay at Rosewood. I was very sick when I entered. I could not eat, could not keep anything down. I also had extreme weakness in my arms and legs. Their physical therapy department did great getting me up and walking even though I gave them a really hard time. The food was ok, not wonderful but not awful. They will bring you something else if you cannot eat what they brought. I would not be afraid to go back if it was necessary. The 'nurses where nice and everyone was polite and helpful. They can quickly when I called and I felt like they cared about me. "

"We moved my mom into Solaris HealthCare Pensacola. The staff seem very attentive. They checked on my mom multiple times daily. They have more things provided by the facility than some other places. There are residents in the hallway, in the day rooms, and in activity rooms, so there seems to be a lot of things going on. The staff seems engaged with the residents. My mom is in a double-occupancy room. They provide a small television, a dresser, and a closet space. They offer different levels of therapy, both physical and occupational. They have multitudes of activities that residents can participate in, everything from church services to class to other things. They encourage the residents to get out of their rooms and do something. So far, this place meets the type of care that my family was looking for for her. So far, from what I've seen, they have a very proactive cleaning staff that are constantly doing trash, mopping, sweeping, and all that stuff. It's a very clean and well-kept facility. Her Medicare is covering it right now, so cost-wise, it has been nothing out of my pocket yet."

"I'm so glad that I came to this facility for my rehab after my surgery. I have been to this facility two times and have had great care both times. The therapy department was great and the therapists on staff were always there to meet my needs. There are 2 doctors and nurse practitioner's on staff. The food was great. I could not believe how quickly the call lights were answered and my needs were met. The rooms were very clean. My case manager had my equipment ordered so I could discharge home. I would definitely recommend this facility above any other."

"Are you thinking about coming to Park Place. Give it a try, I did. Let me tell you a story. I had lost the will to live. After after a year in bed , i had never walked. My family and friends convinced me to give Park place a try. For the first four months I did not want to do anything. I was not the best patient. The staff were very patient and slowly convinced me to try some of the thinks that I should be doing. I couldn't stand, so the staff lifted me into the wheelchair and back into the bed. One day they convinced me to go down to the therapy room. Oh yeah I said, but was I ever surprised!... The room was filled with people like me. They taught me things from my chair Music filled the room and the played anything the patients wanted. They served us coffee. I had a good time. I looked forward to my therapy days. Eventually, they taught me to walk I now am out of park place, but I will never forget them. The staff went beyond what was required. The housekeeping staff, kept the place so clean, that my guests noticed it. The maintenance staff came by and stopped daily to see if they could fix anything. They came by on there breaks just talk. The nurses were very caring, and asked if medications were working. The certified nurse assistants saw me every day, and I became very close with alot of them. The rehabilitation staff worked a miracle on me. They made me feel like I was the only patient they had to take care of. I can't name all the people that touched me, but you personally know who you are. I can say that the entire staff at park place are the following: A wonderful combination 😍 of professionalism and a down home feeling of tender loving care. All I can say, is give park place a try, I did. The Mikie "

"My aunt is a resident at Bayside Manor. I visit on a daily basis and the facility is clean and there has never been a foul odor of any kind. There is a great outdoor area for the residents to sit in. The staff is friendly, for the most part. There are two dogs at the facility Monday -Friday during the day, the residents really enjoy interacting with them. "

"my mother went to the Specialty Center first for rehab after after a fall. When my mother needed 23/7 care that is where we took her. I have nothing but good things to say about the facility. The rehab was great ( my mom gave them a head time because she didn't want to do it)...now that's she's back and doesn't have to do therapy she is happy there, ALL of the staff are very caring and helpful. My mom has a bath every other day (daily if needed) her but ALL aids are very attentive, her hair rolled by aid (Linda). The food is just wonderful and there is plenty and a nice variety. They have plenty of activity, church, bingo, crafts, several musical visitors, special Holiday actives, etc. My mother isn't very social but she found one thing she enjoys, sitting in the hall in the evening and giving out candy to who ever wants it. My mom has NO COMPLAINTS and neither do we...I would recommend this Center for your loved one. "

"This facility is undergoing many changes. For those who don’t know the new Executive Director, stop & meet her, the door is always open!!! There’s an entire new leadership team. The Director of Nursing is amazing & is working hard to get the nursing department on track. The new Social Worker Margaret is a Godsend & Myrtle the activity director is second to none. Your loved one will never be bored…I have a family member here & I can tell you the improvement has been great the past 3 months. Even the food has gotten so much better. It takes a village to make a nursing home a home for our families and that’s what these ladies are doing!! We now have a monthly family night. Thanks to everyone at UH for their hard work. "

"The staff is always very helpful My daughter is in Long term care and the Nurse and Social Worker are excellent. The food quality could be improved. The food is cold a lot when it's served. The meats are often hard for older residents to chew..It would also be nice if the rooms were larger for long term residents. The space in the room doesn't allow for items from home that may wish to bring. This is important because this will there last home..The addition of a Hair Stylist (who is excellent) make the ladies look so lovely. It would be nice to have more outing and social events for the residents. "I was looking for continuing care and Azalea Trace is the only one here so I checked in, but I would have to sell a piece of the property I have to come up with the entrance fee. They have some vacancies. It's been around a long time so it has a good track record. I was more interested in the bedroom apartment. It has been around a long time so it has a good track record. The people are very friendly and many professional people in this area speak very highly of it. Many of them end up there eventually. They are very friendly, and it seems to be a well-appointed community, although it's getting a little old. One thing that has happened is that they've opened another facility towards Alabama, and it's a brand new community, so I wonder if they're putting some of their resources over there. The staff is very good people. The rain gutters are kind of rusted out in places. They have a swimming pool, but it looked very old. You can still use it for aerobics, but you can't swim laps in the pool."

"I have been here on 2 of 3 shifts. Always happy to see smiles on people's faces and they are happy to be here. I have asked a few CNAS some questions like how long have you worked here, how long have you been a CNA/ Nurse and one stood out. Mari was busy answering a light and a one of the people stopped her as she was about to go in the room for some help. Mari quickly flashed a smile and in a kind voice." I will help you as soon as I answer this light. "The person rolled into the 1st floor dine room.. no more 5 minutes later she came and was " sorry, that was a bit longer than I had thought how can I help you.? " He was quiet and shared he was "wet" and needed to get dried. Mari was happy, kind and never tried to shame the person but took a "bib" covered his lap and took him down the hall to his room to change him. I could see he was happy she was willing to help and later asked how long has she been there and how long a CNA she have been 20yrs.... they need more kind hearts like her that are there for the long term and really can see they love their jobs and the people they take care. I would say I would hope Mari would get a raise but that is up to the them. I know I would value her 1000% "

"Right now, my dad is in rehab at De Luna Health and Rehabilitation Center. It's a good rehab. They do work with their clients. It's very, very clean, and it's also close to the house. They work with them. The food is excellent. The facility is more like you're staying at a hotel than a rehab. It doesn't have a hospital feel to it. It's just nice, and the staff is good. He has Medicare, so he's not paying that much."

"My friend is in Bay Breeze Nursing & Retirement Center. It was the most accommodating, and the staff was the best, most helpful, and quick to answer. The director was very informal, nice, and invited us to ask all the questions we liked. They have a very nice, very comfortable dining room, and he raves about the food. They were the least expensive of the ones we saw."

"My mother was in Sandy Ridge Health And Rehabilitation for three weeks. They basically did a good job with Mama. She has dementia and AFib, and she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. We chose that place because it was close by. She's had a remarkable turnaround. When we first got her in, they had to come out to the car and physically pick her up; she was just totally out of it. I waited for about three days before I went back to see her because I wanted to give her time to adjust. She looked like a completely changed person. So I was very thankful for that, because I knew that she was getting the attention she needed day in and day out. I have a lot of high marks for them and whatever they did. I think there were sixty-some beds in the whole facility. She just got around and started participating, and she loved it there. It's an older facility. I know that they were painting the lobby in the front office area when Mama was being discharged. The director was trying to make improvements, I think, on the outside. The patio could have been cleaner. Part of the issue, though, is that they're all needing help and they just don't have enough. I would say the staff was really nice there. They were very accommodating for us, especially when my brother came in. I made friends with the receptionist there, and she always seemed happy to see us. I didn't have any problems except with the visitation."

"The Santa Rosa Health and Rehab Center is very nice. I would recommend it to anyone looking for quality senior care in a convenient location. When I toured the facility in Dec 2011, the first thing I noticed was the grounds. The lawn is well manicured and the simple landscaping appropriate. Upon entering the facility, the lobby was clean and had no foul odors. Two residents standing at the nurse's station waved to me. They appeared well groomed and were being attended by one of the CNAs. After a short wait, one of the nurses kindly directed me to the guest services areas. The tour started in the residents' room which were a little small but nice and had no showers in the bathroom, just a sink and toilet. Most all rooms accommodate two residents with the exception of the "suite" rooms. They were single rooms with private showers. The communal showers were probably the worst part of the tour. They were dark and had an unpleasant odor. The staff told me they were planning to renovate/update them very soon. The common areas were pretty and full of residents. A local church was preparing to sing. I was told that they have bingo and other group activities. A hairdresser comes in every Thursday. They also provide weekend outings, a fishing trip was planned that day. The dining areas was nice but the food looked just okay, a little bland. Overall, I was pleased with the tour. The staff was nice, appeared to enjoy working there, and interacted well with the residents. The residents seemed content and safe. "

"Robertsdale is very attractive. It does not look like an institution. They have dementia care unit, rehab, they have ventilated care, and they also have the regular skilled nursing facility. It's very well decorated and cared for. My husband is undergoing rehabilitation right now to help him walk. They're able to manage his mood swings, his anger outbursts which I just couldn't handle anymore. It's a very nice facility. They have music and they bring people in to entertain residents. Those that are in the dementia wing are taken to some of these if someone has to stay with them either family member or one of the staff. They also play games with them, sometimes watch TV. The food is very good food and they have good assistance at meal time. I've eaten in there a few times. I'm just very impressed. Their office staff is amazing. Everyone has gone out of their way to be good to us. All of the rooms have valences, in bright, pretty colors. They have bedspreads, they each have a bedside table, closet, they can bring in snacks too. They monitor him very well. They have 3 different head nurses and they have numerous CNAs. "
