My mother is a current patient receiving rehabilitation after a brief hospital stay and lengthy illness. The staff have been so friendly, helpful and respectful throughout our entire journey! The facility is clean, smells fresh, room are neat and well kept. We will always recommend Solaris to our friends and family!

My disabled aunt was a resident at Solaris for a decade. In November 2018 an employee decided to move her from her chair to the bed via a hoist and broke protocol by doing it unassisted. This resulted in my aunt being dropped cracking her skull and breaking both of her legs.Prior to her death, the bigwigs from Solaris went to visit her in the hospital trying to appear concerned while they were threatening to take away her room from her a place she has spent many years. She stated she was scared to return to Solaris but scared not to because that is all she knew. She died a few days later and never had the chance to return. Unfortunately, in the state of Florida the value of someone’s life determines which attorneys will take the case. Since her life to others was not valuable, finding an attorney to help became too much for my family to bear. I just got the news that another love one is now injured under their care and I am pissed. Please do not trust them with your loved ones. I wish we had not.

Do not send a loved one to this facility! My mother was there for rehab after an extended hospital stay left her too weak to go straight home. She spent over a week at Solaris and described it as pure torture. Help rarely came when called. Her roommate was unable to get up to use the bathroom and would often spend hours lying in her own feces waiting for help to arrive. Food was served cold. Phones almost never worked. Vital information was not relayed to her. We finally decided we had to take her out of the facility but were unable to because there wasn't a doctor or nurse at the facility qualified to discharge her. My mom asked one of her nurses to call me and asked if he had my phone number. He said to her, "Yes, I have his number. I've talked to him several times today." I never received a call from anyone ever, let alone "several times" in one day. When she was finally discharged (after waiting 5 hours for a doctor to be called in to approve her release), that same nurse told her that he had called me and I was on my way. Again, no call was made. I was not on my way. They wheeled her out the front door to wait for me to drive up. Luckily, I called to see what was taking so long with her discharge and they told me she was waiting outside for me. I guess I should be happy they didn't roll her out into traffic.

I spent a week at Solaris HealthCare Pensacola. The people were caring. It was very clean and comfortable with the exception of one of the patients who stole my ring and I'm upset about that, but I can't do anything about it. The food was delicious. I went to physical therapy. I improved and I can walk now, and I would rate the therapists a 5/5. You could eat in your room or you could go to the dining room.

My mother was in Solaris HealthCare Pensacola. She fell and broke her hip. The staff was fine most of the time, they were helpful, and accommodating. Her room was fine, it was clean, but she was in a shared room with another lady. Just about everybody in her section was practically a vegetable, they all sat in their wheelchairs, or fell out of their wheelchairs. The dining area was fine, but she didn't eat there, she ate in her room alone instead. They offer food, gave her medications, and bathe her once a week. They had too many residents for the staff to handle, and most of them were untrained.

A friend of mine was in there for Rehab that was not able to walk or stand on her own and they left her in the bathroom alone for a long length of time so she tried to stand up by herself and fell and broke her foot and then had to have surgery. They make her wait prolong length of time to get dressed because they have too many other people to take care of. On the weekends they are always short-staffed. She was in there to get better and now she's worse off than she was. Her rehab days are almost up so she will end up in skilled nursing where she should have never been in the first place. The theft around there is unbelievable. We found bags of items in her closet that someone had planned on taking home that belong to other patients. They break items that belong to the patients and have no consideration for their belongings. Do not put your loved ones there unless you just don't care about them or their well-being.
