"Alamitos West Health Care Center is a great nursing home. The staff members are good. My mother doesn't complain about the food. It's hospital food, so you don't really expect much out of it. Her room is clean. Right now, they don't do anything because of COVID, but before that, she was doing activities. They are pretty prompt with communications. They have a courtyard area, too. Her room is good, roomy, and clean. It is a safe place."

"Stanley Healthcare Center is for long-term care. My brother is there for good. It's very clean and homey. It's a small facility. There are only 30 beds. Same people every day, and they're super nice. They have a lounge, bingo, and old movies. They put on stuff all the time, but he is not able to participate yet. The food is excellent. He had trouble with his taste buds, but they're much better now. It's very consistent, 8:00, noon, and 5:00, and he likes most of the food. They do the baths, they do haircuts, they do shaves, they have somebody come once a month for eyes, ears, nose, and throat kind of things, like clean everything out, and they have a podiatrist come and do his nails. The staff is excellent."

"I am in CareMeridian for rehab, and it's great. It's small with only 14 rooms, very personable, and has a lot of individual care. The staff is good. They go for movies and do various things. They have two fine dining areas."

"The facility is small for a nursing home. I believe it has 44 beds. The staff is warm and caring. The chef is excellent! On at least 2 occasions I have eaten gourmet meals at this facility. They also provide religious counsel and visiting singers for the comfort of their patients. Several of their patients are over 100 years old. It is located near a park and golf course in Long Beach, but the busyness of the neighborhood is not felt at Bel Vista. It is quiet, calm and serene. "

"Alamitos Belmont has a great staff and great program. My mom was in rehab here for 2 months after a back surgery. She received an hour of occupational therapy and an hour of physical therapy every weekday with very skilled therapists, which really built her strength and stamina back up. They have a large gym with lots of different equipment and tools for working with all different types of people. The nursing staff is also top notch, all very friendly and caring. They treated everyone with respect and they care deeply for even the most difficult patients. My mom also had a wound, which was keep very clean and has healed really nicely. There is a nice spa where everyone gets showers and can get cleaned up, all the rooms have personal TV's for each patient, there is a bathroom in each room and three hot meals are served every day. Some other things I really liked are the two outdoor patios, the daily activates, and they have a great free coffee machine for visitors. The staff at Alamitos Belmont are really special, both my mom and I have felt like part of the family and we've made some great friends through this tough time. "

"My aunt stayed at Shoreline Healthcare Center. We chose them because they were the only ones that took her insurance. They're very caring and very accommodating whenever I need to take my aunt out. They're really good. Everybody was helpful, even the utility people. She made friends with everybody there. The only problem there is the parking. There are only maybe 10 parking spaces for visitors. It's small, but very clean. When she was still active, she participated in bingo and movies."

"My family is so happy that mom is at Pacific Palms. The staff is very attentive and very caring. They work hard to make sure the residents are taken care of and have what they need. They have many activities to keep the residents occupied and make sure they have a good time. They have an excellent physical therapy program and exercise program. The facility is well maintained and clean. The food served is great. Most of all, they just care so much about their residents in great detail and they are very personal and treat mom extremely well."

"I spent three weeks at Marlora in the skilled nursing section. The care was above my expectations. They kept me clean and attended to my needs at the time. The only exception was the night shift. They were not attentive to me, my light would be on over 15 minutes some nights. The food was quite good and the deserts were very delicious. My bed, along with my room was kept clean daily. I would recommend Marloras therapy dept. Probably the best therapists in this type of setting. I would definately go back to Marlora for care."

"My dad was at Country Villa. It's a well-run and clean facility. They provided adequate care for him. I know that they do have an activity room although I was not able to see that. The staff was pretty pleasant, cooperative, and informative as I remembered. They have small rooms with two people in it, but it's adequate. "

"I have been in this facility for 24 days after knee surgery -it was very nice team working together, very clean, well caring for all patients - I appreciate all what they done for me & I notice they caring for every one in this facility. this is the best place I ever seen, asking blessing for all of them. "The nursing staff and social worker took fantastic care of my Mother in Law. They were very kind and patient with her. She was significantly under weight upon her arrival and they were able to get her to eat, and gain weight. The therapies they provided helped her to gain strength and she became more steady on her feet. The rooms are decorated to suit each individual resident, and the the patients participate in Art projects that are displayed through out the center. I would highly recommend this facility as they are experts in caring for loved ones with dementia, including those that have behaviors. They cared for my Mother-in-law like she was their own family. She laughed and smiled more during her time there, than she had for many months prior."

"My mom was at Broadway By the Sea rehabilitation. We love it. They did remarkable work. My mom's room was a typical hospital type. The food was OK. The care was fine. Some of the staff members were helpful, but some were not. The therapy was good. My mom was only able to do certain things because of her situation. However, they lose patients' clothes constantly. They cannot find them when they wash them because they wash everybody's things together."

"My mother is now in Edgewater Skilled Nursing Center. It is a very nice, very clean place, and very caring. All of the staff is wonderful, and the care is excellent. It is the best nursing home my mother has been in. Everything is perfect for what my mom needs. The food is good. My mother is a diabetic, so she is on a restricted diet. My sister has eaten lunch with her several times, and she said the food is very good. It looked good too. They have something going on every day. They have some people who have major problems and can't do much, but there is something for everybody."
