My family is so happy that mom is at Pacific Palms. The staff is very attentive and very caring. They work hard to make sure the residents are taken care of and have what they need. They have many activities to keep the residents occupied and make sure they have a good time. They have an excellent physical therapy program and exercise program. The facility is well maintained and clean. The food served is great. Most of all, they just care so much about their residents in great detail and they are very personal and treat mom extremely well.

My mom is at Pacific Palms Healthcare. It's been great there. The social workers have great communication. I talk to them all the time, at least once a week or so. They call me for everything: whether it's something that she needs, or something that's happening just to tell me that she's doing well. There's very good communication, especially during the whole pandemic when we couldn't go there. The staff members are very friendly. My mom likes the food. It's different each time, so they're not feeding them the same stuff every time. They specialize the diet based on the individual's needs. When my mom first went there, it was a couple of years ago, and it was a bad situation at the time. The staff members were very supportive and very encouraging towards me. Because my mom has dementia, so sometimes little things would set her off. They were just very gentle with her and just tried to accommodate her as much as possible. What I like best about it is the people and the staff. The building is older, and the staff can't really do much about that, but they keep it pretty clean. As far as like my mom's room, it's clean. She has to share a room, but that's just because we can't afford a private room. They're more of a skilled nursing facility, and she's long term; they were willing to take her when we had nowhere else for her to go. The staff and the administration have been very helpful towards us because my mom was an elder abuse case. They were very helpful in that way and understanding with our situation. My mom is a Medi-Cal patient, so Medi-Cal pays for part of it.

The staff was extremely helpful, everyone was very caring about my mother . My interaction was positive starting from the Nurses , social worker , CNA and the Director . They kept me informed on every step and listened my concerns. The communication was flawless as well as the courtesy .

We found Pacific Palms Healthcare for my mom. Her doctor recommended the place to her. We're happy with the nursing facility where she is now. So far, they're being courteous with us. They're helping out my mother by checking certain things, and she is coming around. We're going by what they're doing at the nursing facility. She cannot eat or swallow. It seems to be very nice and clean. She has her own room. The staff is very friendly; they seem to be a caring staff. We ask questions, and they answer them, so we're very pleased with it to date. Because of COVID-19 we haven't been able to be around my mother yet, but they're making arrangements for us to be as close as possible, so we have to wait until they go through the process. My sisters and brothers have been there, and they say it's very nice.

This place is not safe for your any family member they don't have enough staff to attend to every patient, they take for ever to answer the needs of the senior citizens they need more bilingual personal and also need to be more friendly , they don't help then sit in their beds for their lunch they just go and drop off the tray and leave ...If you love your family member or your friend don't take them here not a very good place.

When the driver dropped my Dad off, we got there shortly after, when we walked in the place was dingy, smelly and filthy. They put our Dad in a filthy room with dirty clothes on his table and who knows if the bed was clean. We tried to talk to the charge nurse and said we wanted a private room and would they have all his meds, especially his pain meds since he just had total knee replacement. Long story short, she was totally clueless, very hard to understand! Didn't have his pain meds!! NEVER LET SOMEONE YOU CARE FOR STAY IN THIS DUMP!!!

If you love your parents and grandparents, don't leave them here. Don't let Kaiser designate this poorly run facility for someone you care about. My dad's a WW2 Veteran and they treated him badly. They put him in diapers because they were too lazy to take him to bathroom. We found dad with soiled diapers and without energy. On my last visit to this place, Dr Vo told me he couldn't understand why dad couldn't hold down food and drink. I asked him," when do you draw the line between what you don't understand and when my dad gets real medical attention from a hospital? An hour later he designated by dad back to Kaiser Hospital in Downey where they discovered he had pneumonia. If I hadn't questioned Dr.Vo, dad would have been there for more days without proper treatment for his pnoumonia. Also, dad had plenty of clothing; t shirts; sweatshirts; slippers and pajamas. More than half of these items including his slippers were missing. I noticed some of the staff simply don't care. They appear to just want to put their hours in and get a paycheck. Also the place is dark and dreary. The beds are way too small and without rails, so the patients can easily fall out. If I could give Pacific Palms '0' stars, I would.

it is an awful place, I would not recommend anyone to take their family there, they have very bad treatment their devices don't function properly my mother in law asked for help all night and never received help. they don't have enough personnel and the few that are there are incapable of helping. I would not recommend it.

I stayed at Pacific Palms for 2 weeks in June 2014. First - this place is very clean!. They do a full cleaning of each room on a rotating schedule - Move everything out and bring in the big floor cleaning machines. Much better than other facilities I've stayed at. The nursing staff was excellent, especially charge nurses who do the medication management. Finally, the food was a bit bland and there was only water melon for fresh fruit. But, this is what most nursing facilities seem to have. They accommodated my late check-in at 11:00 PM. So, I rate them as 5 stars.
