I am living in Overture Centennial right now. The staff is terrific. They are always available. Any problems you have are solved immediately. We only get breakfast here, and it is a pick-and-go breakfast like in a hotel. It changes regularly, and they try to make it very healthy. The activities director is fabulous. I cannot say enough about him. He is very responsive. If there is a new game you want or something, he is very willing to buy it for you. They try very hard to be very accommodating of anything you need. I do not really have anything negative to say about it. The only reason that I am moving out of here is because my daughter is moving to South Carolina. The facility is brand new and gorgeous.

Overture Centennial 55+ Apartment Homes is the best place we have found, so far. The facility was new and very pretty. The apartments were a bigger size, with several different layouts to choose from. It had a pool that was ADA-compliant. They had a big workout room, a large craft area, a movie theater, and a really pretty courtyard around the pool that you could use to grill out or to have social gatherings. It was just a very well-planned community. They do not serve meals. They have people come in and give talks and social gatherings, and they do provide food at those. We had a good girl that gave us the tour, and she was the activities person.

We toured Overture Centennial 55+ Apartment Homes. The staff was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was worried about security because of the location, and they gave me a very good positive answer about how they do security. They have a special way of making sure that nobody is in the parking lot that doesn't belong there. They give everybody a tag, and the tag is on your car, and that was very, very important to my husband and me at that point. So that was good. I saw them inside the community, and it's like one big happy family. They do lectures together, they watch TV together, they watch old movies together, they do puzzles together, and they bring their used clothing and donate it to a local charity. The community is very involved with Raleigh, so I was very happy to see that. When we were in the arts and crafts room, the men and women in there were excited that I was there because they knew that I would probably get involved right away. They get everybody involved. Even outside, the people were just eating their lunches around the pool, and they were just relaxing and reading books, so they love where they live and that's what my husband and I are looking for.

I toured Overture Centennial 55+ Apartment Homes, and I've decided to move there because they didn't have a meal program. I did not want three meals a day. It's a new apartment, nobody has lived in it before, and it seems very nice. The staff have been wonderful. The location is going to be very convenient for me because it's close to where my kids are. They basically have the same kind of activities there. They do arts, and they had a whole wall full of different things going on. I can only remember that there is a walking club, a reading club, and just all kinds of different stuff.

I moved into Overture Centennial. I'm enjoying it very much. Right now, it is very difficult with the pandemic and all of the care that we have to take, but they have everything that anyone might need. The staff is very helpful, it is not 24-hours, but I'm enjoying it because my apartment is very nice, it's in a good location, and it's comfortable. I do not partake in a lot of activities because of the pandemic. I have not been able to get a vaccination yet, and I'm waiting for the Health Department to call me and say it's time, so I'm being cautious and that's all there is to it. I have things to do for myself and I enjoy the privacy of this place. They have breakfast and that's five days a week, Monday through Friday, but that's about all right now owing to this virus, so they're not serving dinners or anything like that. They're trying very hard to keep the community enjoying the place, and they always have something at the door for a special holiday. Like on Sunday, they had a little candy and a little bottle of Irish cream. They're always reaching out and doing what they can. Because of what they do to get people together and to have a glass of wine, some popcorn, or some cake or whatever, they do it very well. They set it up in such a way that people do not have to be sitting together, you can take what you want and bring it up to your apartment, so you don't have to stay downstairs. I appreciate their imaginative ways of doing things, of trying to get people feeling a part of the community, and there's always something every week. They also keep the facility nice and beautiful, and everything is vacuumed and washed.

I visited Overture Centennial. The garage and the layout of the unit were the only reason I selected the other place. I have a one-bedroom, den, one-and-a-half bath, and Overture Centennial did not have that layout. They had one- and two-bedrooms. The one-bedroom was a little smaller than I wanted, and I didn't need an extra room. I saw the game room and the movie room, and they were very nice. I'm impressed with the corporation that's behind this facility.
