When I had surgery, I was in Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehab for a couple of weeks. The facilities were kind of bare and barren, but the people are excellent. It's much smaller. It wasn't decorated at all, but the service is good. The rooms are kind of barren and not homey-looking at all. The bed is comfortable, and the people are very warm and welcoming, and that to me is more important than what the place looks like. If I need to go someplace, they took me in a wheelchair. I could go out in the garden in the wheelchair and do what I wanted. It's not a cozy place, and older people like cozy. They have a very good physical therapist. The rooms were not nearly as nice or as big as others. It depends on your outlook, but it's a whole lot cheaper than other places. One thing I would complain about there is the food. I used to kid to the chef because I asked him if he knew what S-A-L-A-D spelled. I don't think he ever gave us a salad but he finally did after I kidded him enough about it. When you're not moving around too well there, you need something that could go down easy, and the salad will do that.

Well maintained, very Clean and quiet facility. Menu anad activity choices.Bathrooms too small for wheelchair .bound patient to use independently. Television too small and distant to enjoy from bed.
