"This facility was recommended by many including the Dr caring for the patient. He has been there almost 5 weeks recovering from abdominal surgery. He is 89 years old. His wife is my best friend and she cannot stop telling people about the care he has received. He will be coming home this weekend. Everything was what you would like for a loved one. "

"Penick Village is a very nice, large community. They have several different living arrangements. They have independent living, assisted living, and full-time skilled nursing care. They got everything and more. We had lunch up there. The staff we met were very, very knowledgeable and very kind. The food was excellent."

"September 2016 we placed a family member here after removing her from another facility. Kingswood is not fancy and does not have all the amenities some other places do but our loved one is not in condition to appreciate all those things. The memory care unit has been great. Our loved one is very content and has adjusted well. The place is very clean and the staff handles the patients well. "

"Twice now my Mother has stayed at Peak Resources -Pinelake. Months ago she broke her hip and after surgery did rehab at Pinelake. Her experience was so positive that when she again was in need of therapy, we again chose Pinelake. The staff are so helpful to both residents and family members. They have been more than accommodating during this time. I would recommend Peak Resources to anyone. "

"My mom is a resident at Autumn Care of Raeford. She has received the best care possible. I am in the facility daily at different times each day. The facility is clean and the staff on her hall are the best! The food is wonderful; the dietary staff has gone above and beyond to make sure she has food that she likes. The Rehab. department has been so patient and kind to her while making sure she receives the therapy she needs. The administrator, Danielle, is always available and her door is always open. She is willing to help in anyway possible. "

"My mother is staying at Westfield Rehabilitation & Health Center, and I was impressed. The place is clean. The staff is friendly to my mom. If I had to say anything negative, it would be the quality of the food. It's not the way it's prepared, they probably just have a limited budget for the quality of food that they could order. I think that's why it has a low rating because the food is just like anywhere you go. Even if we go dining out anywhere, you have the food. But I like what I see so far. Mom's been in that facility, and she's on short-term rehab; we are looking for long-term placement. So far, our experience has been positive, but we're in there also. We're so blessed to have our care attendants still assisting my wife and me with coverage, just not as much coverage because she is in the facility. We're able to support staff, we're present inside the facility, we're an active family. We have a good review, and I would recommend Westfield in Sanford. The place is run well. It's professional, clean, and the staff is friendly. Just minus the food, it's a home run. But I do know there is a waiting list for a long-term bed; we're hoping to get in there. The room is cleaned daily. The temperature is kind of cold in there; the air conditioner works very well. The TV is a little bit outdated, it's not the top quality, like crystal clear. It's pleasant in there. It doesn't look like so much of an institution, I kind of like that. The room is just perfect. Now, she is in a single room, so she is fortunate to have privacy and plenty of space in the bath. It's a perfect room for senior care, especially with my mom. She's a little on the heavy side and she does have an oxygen machine. PTs coming in there once and twice a day. There's a refrigerator in there, and they clean the bed. She's on steady oxygen, and the CPAP machine. She needs full assistance with transfer from bed, to a chair, and the toilet. We haven't had any issues so far since our admission. I have doubts about these ratings sometimes; most people will run away from the place if you see a one-star compared to other facilities. But we liked what we saw, and we're present there. We're putting in eight hours a day in this facility so we could see what's going on at different hours, too. It's great to get here to all the protocols, especially with the COVID; sign in, sign out with the mask. My mother is in quarantine for 14 days for new admission, that's the procedure. We're very happy with the professionalism, the cleanliness, the attitude, and the care that my mom's given. We're very thankful to be there. The only negative again would be the food. So, that would be the only kicker. The food is not a five, but I don't want to give a wrong impression like everything's perfect; nothing's perfect, so to speak. More and more important, food is food. Eat, it goes in, goes out. But with care, that's something you're always going to remember. How people speak to and treat you, that's what you are going to remember."

"My mom moved into Autumn Care of Biscoe for long-term care. We chose them because my grandmother was there for five years, and they took great care of her. My mom's room is very nice. They are helping her with all of her ADLs. They have been great, very nice, and very helpful. My mother said the food is delicious. They have different games. Right now, because it's Halloween, they're doing different activities with them. They're dressing up, and they play card games."

"My Grandfather developed some very serious health problems, and the hospital where he was staying recommended Liberty Commons for extended care . Their facilities are very nice and well taken care of. I have spent time there talking to the residents and staff, he is receiving the great care in an awesome environment. I have seen and tested the food and it is satisfactory as well and they provide many activities for the residents. My family has also always been welcome. "

"My family and I have had both positive and negative experiences with Rockingham Monor. My grandmother wasn't in her right mind and couldn't walk or hardly even move. We received a call one day letting us know my grandmother fell out of the bed. My grandmother was brusied badly. I can't see how she could of fell and she couldn't even move and the bed raills were suppose to be up. The whole story seemed shady to us. On the other hand two different nurses were so kind at the end when my grandmother recently passed away. The brought us in coffee, water, and snacks. They also comforted us right after she passed. These two ladies were great woman. I guess they is some good and bad avout everywhere you go. "

"Autumn Care of Fayetteville was very nice inside. It looked modern and like a 4-star hotel. The few staff members we met were really nice. They offered transportation for the patients to and from doctors' appointments. It was so expensive, and when Mom’s money runs out, she would have to move. "
