"TerraBella Southern Pines was nice and everything. The only problem I had with them was that the people were so much further down than my mom was. My mom was active, so she wouldn't have anybody to talk to or interact with there. The staff members were more than kind. They kept up with me a lot. The rooms were very nice and big. They also have apartments. The building was really clean."

"My mother is in Magnolia Gardens. We chose it because the facilities were very clean, the staff was great and helpful, and they answered all questions promptly and in a timely manner. We're very comfortable. Also, the price seems like it made the most sense. Her room had a very big bathroom, TV, nice-sized bed, and it's very clean and very big. They have parties sometimes, and if you need to go out, you can go out with them shopping. They have outside porches and a nice courtyard. They have some activities, but I would like to see a lot more."

"We visited Brookdale, and that's where dad's going for respite care. The staff member was exceptional. She was very helpful and she followed up with me a couple of times. They have studios, singles, and double rooms, and all were very clean. They have a lot of activities, they have exercises, and they also take them on bus trips around the area."

"My dad moved into Seven Lakes Assisted Living & Memory Care one week ago. The number one thing was that the staff was very, very friendly and seemed to be very caring. They were very concerned and very assured that he would go and fit in and be okay. They have basic amenities, you know, showers, the things that you need. Everything seems okay. It looks like a little older place. It can do a little bit of freshen-up. They have a nice courtyard with places where you can go and have like a picnic, a picnic area. They have a little walk-in place, not big, but a little walk-in place where they can walk. They have a treadmill, puzzles, and games."

"Sandy Ridge Assisted Living was a very nice and very clean facility. The director gave me a tour and she showed me all the different areas. They have a lot of employees, too. They can accommodate 120 people, and now they only have 60. It was very quiet. The menu looked nice. The rooms are large and very clean, and you can bring your own furniture if you want to. They're more like a studio. They have a bed and a dresser, and you can take your own chair. Most of them have their own bathrooms. They have a room for physical therapy. I saw several ladies sitting around the table, and they were doing an activity at the time. They have several activities posted. They have a little outside seating area. The staff was wonderful."

"I went to Montgomery Senior Living. They were great. The coordinator herself was out sick, so one of the nurses or the CNAs gave me a tour. The place looked really nice. They had a great menu and a lot of different foods to choose from for my mom. It looked good. They had services of people that would come in. I was very impressed with the dining experience. The residents seemed like they had a lot of good food. They had a lot of good choices, and they had a lot of good substitutes. The staff was good, nice, and very informative."

"I toured Integrity - The Hermitage. It was terrible. The grounds were not kept up. Inside, the walls were banged. It was not clean, and it smelled. They were eating on paper plates with plastic forks in the dining hall. It did not look like the place where I wanted my mom to be."

"St. Joseph of the Pines was nice, warm, and welcoming. It seemed like it had everything they needed. You wouldn't even have to leave the property if you didn't want to. The staff was very nice. They had a gym, a pool, a library, and a studio room. They offered classes from the local college. They had a putting green. You can play eight different golf courses that included your cart fees and all that, so that was a big plus for golfers that could still play."

"My mom is at Sanford Manor's memory care. Her room is good. She has a bathroom, and she has the room for herself. Everything looks nice and clean. We are happy with that. I love their staff. I have a couple of cell phone numbers from them, and then I have all the numbers of any other contacts I need to talk with there. They're very friendly and very caring. I really liked them right off from the first meeting. I haven't tried their food myself, but I have been there for two meals, and it was fine. They have activities and they play bingo. I have on my phone the monthly schedule of activities that they do. The doctor who is handling her called me personally and gave me an update on her after they first met her. They told me that they would be calling me once a month to give me an update unless something happens in between the time. I have their number as well. We are on a tight budget and she is not eligible for help, and so we're paying for it out of our pocket. However, compared to some of the places that we've visited and seen, it's very fair."

Since the day of the family walk through and almost daily visits by us we have TOTALLY satisfied and pleased with his care by the professional, compassionate staff.
