My mother was recently a patient at Excel Rehab, and our experience was extremely upsetting. While in their care, she developed unexplained bruises, and staff could not give us a clear or consistent explanation of how they occurred. Even more concerning, she was not given her prescribed medication properly, therefore she had high blood pressure which is unacceptable for a facility responsible for patient health and safety. My mom was depressed in the few days she was there. I Communication with staff was poor and attempts to get answers or corrective action were met with delays and vague responses. Families should be able to trust that their loved ones are receiving safe, attentive, and compassionate care, and unfortunately that was not our experience. I hope management takes this seriously and improves oversight, medication management, and patient safety so no other family goes through this.

My husband is in rehab right now at Excel at Woodbury for Rehabilitation and Nursing. The therapy is excellent. The aides are not so great. They don't have enough personnel, but the nurses are nice. The food is not tasty. The size of the room is adequate. It's a friendly environment.
