The lady who worked at New Rochelle Home was like a nun. Her personality was beautiful, and I felt such warmth from this person. It's like she truly cared about all the mentally ill people there, and she was dealing with a lot of them. They all knew her name. She was off the hook. I only met her and the one who ran the place, and both of them were very nice. But the place itself is so run down. It's like a warzone. The walls seem to have not been painted for a long time. Everything was old and very dark. You don't see light, and that's depressing in there. I don't recall seeing any windows. The hallways were dark, but the light that was shining was this lady. She treated people with respect and decency. I would rate this lady a 10.

my sister is a resident at New Rochelle, she has deteriorated beyond belief. she gets no pt, she can barely walk and only with the aid of a walker. I have asked to have a podiatrist treat her feet several times to no avail. they had a dentist a few years back that pulled her front teeth,which were gold backed, she still has no teeth. I have asked numerous times for her teeth to be fixed. I live out of state and cannot be there all the time. I am considering getting her an advocate to see that these things get done. The only STAR in this place is Karen.
