My mom had been at Sunrise of Crestwood for a little over 3 years, the most recent ones being in the Memory community. She enjoyed the company of fellow residents, engaging activities, caring and attentive staff, and feeling safe and secure. From the reception staff in the lobby, to the administrators and directors, food and cleaning service people, to the hands-on day to day caregiving professionals, I knew that mom was well cared for and her needs were met. I would recommend, and I have recommended, mom's "home" to others. As a daughter, I appreciate the opportunities to connect with others who have also made the hard decision to place a loved one away from familiar surroundings. It's all very comforting. Thanks to all for providing a caring environment for mom, and peace of mind for families, too.

I think everything that Sunrise of Crestwood had to offer like the staff, the amenities, the services, and the level of care, was ideal. It was exceptional in every respect. It would also be a convenient place, because we have most of our family in that area. The bushes and lawns were gorgeously manicured. The facilities on the inside, the dining, and the tour was just impressive. They were very prepared, very professional, and very compassionate. The dining rooms were excellent and there was always staff buzzing around, cleaning and assisting residents and individuals. They seemed to have it all. They didn't seem to lack anything.

Sunrise of Crestwood had a lot of open outside areas for the residents. The layout of the facility was very nice. They also have quite a few activities that the residents can enjoy, which was a plus. The tour guide was very thorough and answered all the questions. We then met the very personable chef and had lunch in a private room that was very nice and quiet. The food was delicious. They were accommodating. The calendar of all their events was extensive. We looked at one-bedroom apartments and they had nice layouts. They had a little kitchenette with a microwave oven.

I went to Sunrise of Crestwood. The person who escorted us around the facility was very kind and very knowledgeable. She gave enough information to get an idea of really what was going on before we physically took the tour, and she showed us several units that we would be willing to consider if we do decide to use that facility. I was impressed. The place was satisfactory. It was clean. The people were very kind and the residents were very helpful. They came up and they said how much they enjoyed the facility. All in all, it was a good tour. We saw a studio and a larger studio. The amenities were satisfactory. I wasn't too impressed with the way that it's set up. It doesn't seem to me that there are enough scheduled activities. They have a couple that seemed to be scheduled, but I didn't get the impression that there was much organization. They had the laundry services and the cleaning services. They talked about the bistro. The staff gave us meals to take home with us and it was satisfactory. They were small portions. It wasn't necessarily something to write home about, but it was tasty. The staff gave us a little history of how assisted living started, which was very interesting. She said that Sunrise was one of the first to initiate this type of living situation, which I thought was interesting and gives them more credibility.

Sunrise of Crestwood had a porch, and it was like a Victorian home. The staff who assisted me was very knowledgeable. He gave a very good tour. He answered all my questions. The rooms looked clean, well-appointed, and nicely furnished. My mother is coming from a 1400 square foot apartment and the rooms were 300 square feet, but that's the style of them. They're all new and they looked nice. Each had a handicapped bathroom with a walk-in shower, a kitchen area, and even a lock in the kitchen cabinet for medications or things like for the patients that need to get their possessions locked on one of the cabinets. Because of COVID, they gave me food to take for me and my mother. I found it to be a little spicy, but it was okay. I would say it was average. The dining area was more like a cafeteria-style; it wasn't very fancy. It was very plain, simple, and clean. Nobody was in it. One of the things I noticed, there were very few people out. It's very quiet. They had a very nice cafe area, and I saw three people there with their aides. I didn't see any activities going on. I'm a special ed teacher, so I thought I'd see activities going on. It seemed very quiet, and it didn't seem vibrant. It may have been due to COVID that everyone is in their room. Upkeep and maintenance were excellent. Everything was clean. Outside was well-maintained. I saw a bistro, I saw the cafeteria, which was like a school cafeteria type of set up, and a little art room, and when you first came in, I saw what looked like a library with a piano.

I did a tour of Sunrise of Crestwood. It was a very uplifting experience. It just relieved myself and my family from having to try to find some place for our disabled brother. It was a very good experience. It was excellent. I had a lady by the name of Yolanda and another lady by the name of Tony. They spent as much time as I wanted with them. They were extremely helpful. They had a very good selection of rooms, and I was extremely pleased with one of them. It would more than accommodate my disabled brother. They spent so much time with me; there was no rush to anything. I didn't feel like I had to get in and out of there in a hurry. They were extremely accommodating. They walked me through everything. They walked me through all the rooms, and they introduced me to some of the residents that were there. It was a very positive experience. It was very spacious. Our mother who was in an assisted living place had a very beautiful place, and this was just as comparable. It was very nice.

The gentleman that gave us the tour to Sunrise of Crestwood was very helpful and knowledgeable. The people seemed friendly too, but they didn't have any units available in the memory care, so we only got to see the assisted living. They gave us food to take because we had another appointment, and it wasn't bad. They had a garden, activities, and their dining area was more like a restaurant type. The place was very nice and there was an elegance to it, but it was homey.

Sunrise of Crestwood was very nice and very comfortable. It looked like it would fit our needs. The staff was very nice, very sincere, and very obliging. The room was OK. I looked at the menu and it looked OK. I saw some of the amenities, but there wasn't too much going on.

My mother was in the Sunrise of Crestwood and I went there before the COVID. They were responsive. My mother had an issue though with the bluntness of the aide. My mother tends to be sensitive, and it might have been a cultural difference to those who were working there. Other than that she really wasn't a fan of the food, and the expense of distributing medicine each day. The positives were that she had 24/7 care, it was a relatively new and well maintained facility, and they were responsive to communication. They had group activities, they published a schedule every day, and in the common area they had activities that ranged from painting to the jeopardy type thing, to movie watching, and they had religious services there.

Sunrise is lovely, more traditional, and posh. They had a library, TV rooms, and little nooks and crannies where people could read a book if they want. They had meeting rooms, little area where people could congregate without being in a huge space.

Everything has been great at Sunrise of Crestwood for my in-laws. The staff is very caring, and they accommodated our wishes to best that they could. They seemed to be having excellent care there. They have a modified one bedroom, and it is very clean and freshly painted with brand new furniture. They have a very good size closet, and the bathroom is very big. My sister in-law primarily takes advantage of the activities. They have bingo, karaoke, and painting. They have ice cream Sundays and movies. They also go on day trips to the supermarket as well as to social engagements.

I was going to put mom at Sunrise at Crestwood, but unfortunately they wouldn’t take her because of the level of the bedsores that she had. It was stage 4 already. The place is very nice with very good people. From what I saw the way they were treating the residents there, they just jumped on everything that they requested; whenever they wanted something, it seemed like they just fill their request right away, and that was very nice. I would have loved to see her there. It was also situated in a very nice area.

We went to Sunrise of Crestwood for a visit. It is a beautiful place. They have everything there like art class, and they go on tours on the bus. It was very nice. They have a very nice staff. You can't go wrong with them. They showed us everything. It is very clean, and it wasn't over-crowded. The people would come over and talk to you and explain. It looks good. They had a lot going on, and I heard the food is good too.

I moved my elderly friend to Sunrise rather than try to provide 24 hour supervision. Assisted living here is GREAT because you can stay as you need more care and not go to a nursing home. She was able to stay 8 years. The staff was very caring overall. Could room be kept a little cleaner...yes but I felt the care given trumped not dusting often enough - bathrooms clean/linens changed. There are activities and residents are prompted to participate so my experience was different than other posted.

I like the Sunrise of Crestwood because of the property location. It was a better location than the other Sunrise facilities. The people were very nice and helpful. Everybody treated me very well. There were all very forthcoming with information.

Some days there isn't anything fr the residents to do and the day can be dull and sad. I have found the food to be decent. The staff varies from employees who love their jobs, to employees who dont really care or do anything to improve a resident's day. Some residents definitely need more care than others and should probably be over to a nursing home. Having residents who require full time care undermines the values that the assisted living is trying to present. There should be dignity -- there is no dignity if someone who requires more care continues to live at Sunrise, when they would've better suited with full time care at a nursing home. Daily, a list of things to do is posted, but most residents are unaware of what is going on where and what time, due to the mere lack of communication. Also, if more employees coaxed residents to go out, I think it would be beneficial to the residents and the facility.
