The Regency Assisted Living is beautiful, beautiful, and beautiful. The only thing with them is that there is a waiting list for memory care. It is almost an hour to get home, and I wanted something that's a little closer. It was clean and very nice. The memory care was in a locked facility. There is a lot of stimulation. It smells wonderful. The staff was lovely. There are a lot of amenities. Everybody seemed very happy. However, the drawback was the location and the waiting list. The room was a single room, and it was very nice. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was very nice, and she answered all my questions. The facility was beautiful. My only complaint is that it didn't have a parking lot, and you had to park across the street.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the regency. From the moment my father arrived the staff made every effort to ensure he felt not just cared for, but truly at home. What could have been a difficult transition was made so much easier thanks to their warmth, compassion, and genuine attention to his emotional and personal needs. One of the things that has meant the most to our family is how The Regency has embraced who my father is as a person. They've encouraged him to play his accordion with the other residents a true highlight of his day and a beautiful way for him to connect with others. Even more meaningful is how they've embraced his Italian culture allowing him to express himself. when I take him for A walk everyone knows him, I hear residents and staff calling him by his name (Angelo). He looks forward for his meals every day and absolutely loves his puree food that the chef carefully prepares for him. The stories he shares, or the way they honor his background, it's clear that they see and celebrate him for who he is. He enjoys participating in arts and crafts and other engaging activities that keep him active, creative, and filled. The staff treats him with such dignity and respect, and it's evident they genuinely for his physical health, but for his happiness and sense of identity. The Regency isn't just a facility it's a second home. We are so incredibly grateful to have found a place that nurtures his heart, mind, and spirit. Thank you, Regency, for the love respect and community you've given to our father and to all of us. The Stanco Family

My dad is now a resident of The Regency Assisted Living. We met with the people in the facility and they seemed very hands-on. It's nearby, so that's convenient because we can go down and visit whenever we need to. The facility looks clean, well-run, and very active. They have a lot of activities throughout the day, and they have staff who will make sure that he's invited to participate. He's got a 1-bedroom there, and it's got a lot of space, a refrigerator, a little kitchenette, a couch in the common room, and the bedroom has a bed, dresser, and lots of closet space. I have seen the food they've been serving, and it looks nice, but I haven't personally tried it. In terms of value, it's not cheap but it's better than some of the other facilities that I compare them to.

The Regency Assisted Living is the most affordable one among all the places we visited. The place is clean and nice, and I would feel comfortable putting my mom there. The staff members we met there were very pleasant. I liked the facilities.

The people here at The Regency are not too involved. The biggest things here are poker, bingo and blackjack. There doesn't seem to be much community building, which I was hoping for. The food is fair to OK. It's not totally inedible, but it's not thrilling either. The desserts are great, though. The room is more like an apartment, and I have a separate alcove for the bed, so it's a little bit more separate from my living area, and they supply a fair amount of furniture. I have enough room here for a computer and a TV set. They also assemble furniture for you.

I was very happy with the Regency. I thought they were very nice, professional, and caring. My uncle was there with his wife, but she did not want to stay, so it had nothing to do with the place.

My mother was a resident at this facility for a short time. During this time, we found all the employees to be caring, interested and proactive towards mom's wellbeing. Her apartment was great and we just felt so secure and happy to have mom there.

I went to The Regency. It's beautiful. I like the location. It's very centrally located in the town. Everything is walking distance to it. There's a shopping center across the street, and there are restaurants. Very clean. I like the atmosphere. It looks like it is a beautiful hotel. The staff was very nice and very friendly. The rooms are large. They have different rooms. There is a studio, a 1-bedroom, and a 2-bedroom. There are activities all throughout the day. In-house, they have cards and bingo. Every morning, they have a trivia or a discussion, current events, and then they have parties. Outside, they have a bus, and it goes on trips to the mall and to theaters and little playhouses. There is not a day that there isn't a nice activity going on. In the town, the store owners honor the people there, so there are discounts to dinner. They used to see the movies. It was right down the street. As nice as it is, the people there are a little older. The food looks like it's very good. They have snacks all the time. The dining room is beautiful.

We visited The Regency at Glen Cove because of a recommendation of a website. The facility was lovely. It was like a hotel. The atmosphere was very positive and uplifting. The place is very clean and I found everything to be very well organized. I thought it was very nice. The rooms were like small apartments and they are very nice. The staff are very friendly and very nice. They have a lot of activities available. They have movie and games nights; they had a bunch of night entertainment which is great.

First let me say that I am peaceful because of the Regency. I have worked at assisted livings on Long Island and I brought my mom to the Regency. The staff at the Regency are simply the best. The reason I say this is because most of the department heads have been there for a long time. That alone says a lot. If there is any problem it gets taken care asap, why because there is only ONE Regency. You do not have to go through 10 people,2 states and 3 different managers to get a answer or get something done. Beth the Executive Director is always around to talk to. Stella the special projects coordinator is always so helpful. Chef Pat has made many special meals for my mom and me in the private dining room. Angelina the case manager, her door was always open to discuss moms care. At the Regency you become family. You know everyone by their first name from the Wellness staff to maintenance to housekeeping to the dining room staff. Erica the Recreation director always had something going on. I never thought my mom would ever get involved with the other residents but to much of my surprise she did. The movies, lunches, shows, tea party’s and so much more. She was never in her room; she was having the time of her life. My mom loved that Annie Sez was across the street and Staples too. We would watch all the parades march down School St. We had front row seats in front of the Regency. My mom lived there for 7 years. When mom got ill the staff at the Regency helped me with bringing in Hospice Care for her. She passed away peacefully and with dignity. I still drop by with Poppy (my dog) to say hi. BTW Poppy was always welcomed..Like I said before you become family. If you go to their website you can read the testimonials especially the one about my mom’s 85th Peaceful Daughter
