Gladhaven, on the Westchester-Connecticut border, is a small senior independent living residence that provides personal care for those who need a “just a little more”. This family-run senior home is a Victorian mansion with authentic Victorian furnishings throughout which have been collected by the owner, Susan Roche.

There are marble fireplaces (closed) in 5 of the rooms and ten-foot ceilings with plaster moldings. The large windows overlooking the garden give the rooms wonderful light and an airy comfort that all the residents appreciate.

It is located on the New York - Connecticut border in the King Street area of the town of Rye Brooke New York, and Greenwich, Connecticut. The small size allows the staff to cater to individual needs on a personal basis and provide all the comforts of home.

Rooms are all private and comfortably furnished or residents may use their own furniture. All rooms face outside. They are large, attractive and available for single occupancy. Suites are offered, and couples are encouraged to enjoy the saving afforded by sharing a room.

Several Active Senior Clubs are in nearby towns. Guests must be in reasonably good health and ambulatory upon arrival. Thereafter every effort is made to allow the guest to remain in residence, despite changing physical conditions.
