My mother was in Brookdale for rehab before, and I was not happy with it. From my view, they don't pay as much attention to the patients and the clients that were there, and they were very rude and disrespectful to their needs, so I was not happy with that. I had to actually take my mom out of there and bring her home. The caretakers should be more sensitive to their clients' needs, be more patient with them.

I didn't really like this assisted living provider. The staff, especially the females were rude and at times too busy gossiping about a patient's visitors to even answer your questions properly. The facilities were clean for the most part, except for the times when some of the clients would have accidents. I believe that this assisted living facility was way understaffed, which could be the reason for all the attitudes, although, that is really no excuse. The only reason we even sent my grandmother there when she got sick was because it was the closest one to us. In my neighborhood, we always have to settle for the worst care in order to not have to travel so far for decent care. If it was really up to us, my grandmother would have never been in Brookdale Hospital Medical Center Assisted Living Facilities, she would have been at some nice facility in Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn where the staff actually cares, well at least they know how to pretend like they do. The West Indian staff at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center was also sometimes rude and would sometimes favor the West Indian clients and ignore or be rude to the American ones. They all need to be retrained.
