This facility is in a beautiful Location, right on Sheepshead Bay In Brooklyn , NY. The staff is excellent, very kind, very knologeable and very helpful. The place is spotless and kept very clean, the rooms are adeguate and very light and kept very clean. The staff menage your medications. A Doctor is in the house two times a week. We have a Nurse every day of the week. Lots of activities during the day, a Movie each night of the week excep the weekend.

I looked at The Waterford Senior Living. I had a family member placed there. There are good things about it, but there's confusion. There's a lack of communication. There are problems on and off. He likes it, which is good for him. They have a beautiful view, and the rooms are ok, they're nice. It needs updating in the halls, but the rooms are good. The food is fair. They have somebody that does hair, they have a podiatrist that comes around. They have a doctor, which I would say would only be for the simplest of ailments. They do have an activity room, it didn't seem great, it was kind of dingy, and they need to modernize the building. They're doing one room at a time. Some of the rooms are new, some are updated and some of them are not like the hallways, it's kind of dark. I think it needs to be brightened up. They have a beautiful outdoor back area. You can sit by the water. It is beautiful. The view, it's right on the bay. That's really nice. The staff is very nice, but they're just too busy.

My parents are at The Waterford on the Bay. It's a very nice facility and very welcoming. Everything has been going well so far. Their room has beautiful views of the Sheepshead Bay. They are in a one-bedroom, but it's the only one-bedroom with a living room that they have in the entire place. They have different sizes of bedrooms. The staff is very welcoming and very informative. I'm very happy with the services. They have scheduled activities. They have a nice dining room where you could either sit at a very small private table, or a larger four-person table, or you could eat in your room. They have a very pretty area outside for guests to visit. I'm very happy with the facility and the interactions that I've had with everyone who works there. They said that the food is good.

I toured The Waterford on the Bay. The woman that I spoke with in admissions was very friendly, super helpful, very compassionate, and understands the web of Medicare and Medicaid. She seemed to know many of the residents and all the staff, and the location is good for us once the time comes to move our loved one there. They were the only facility that would show us in person. Some women were waiting to play bingo. It's a three-star facility and it's not glamorous. People were waiting to play in the recreation room and some people were getting ready to play cards in another room. I think there was a library, but nothing else. Because we have to deal with Medicaid, we're very limited in our choices, but from what we've seen, it's much better than the facility he is at now.

The Waterford on the Bay was very nice. It looked clean and they all have the same little menu and same sort of activities and stuff from the other senior living facilities. The apartments were also very nice and it depends on how much you could pay whether you got a studio, one-bedroom, or semi-private. It was pristine on the outside. There's something to look at. To me, this was just serene and you could sit out there and enjoy walking. I think they had a pathway where you could walk up and down near the water.

I visited The Waterford on the Bay, it's about the same as others, maybe a little nicer in that sense. When I visited, it was past the lunch hour, but they gave me lunch. They were nice. They gave me a choice, I asked for something and it was good. They offered me a full lunch, but I had just more of a snack lunch. That was fine for me, but they would have given me more.

My mom was at The Waterford on the Bay. It was on lockdown so she was confined to her room most of the time. Any time that she went out of her room, they would tell her to get back into her room. So she had virtually no contact with other residents, other than the attendants and people of that nature. Overall, she did not like it. They wouldn't let me in her room. The person who registered us into the facility sent us pictures of her room. It looked like the rooms were very small and kind of confining. My mother had no complaints about the staff. The ladies that took care of her, cleaned her, and got her dressed were very nice, and very helpful and very efficient. I would ask my mother every day how the food was, and she would say most of the time that it's disappointing. They promoted it as being gourmet, and many of the meals were simply not gourmet at all. They were very ordinary. When she was there, there were absolutely no activities. Because it was during the lockdown, she did not get a chance to meet other people, participate in activities, go on trips, or do whatever else they have to offer. It was a very lonely, barren experience for her, as it was for a lot of other people. We looked into two other places in the area, and this was less expensive.

The Waterford on the Bay was nice, but the facilities were outdated and the place small. The staff seemed nice, but limited. We met with the actual manager and he was very accommodating. The place itself was very outdated, we saw peeling paint, rusted pipes in areas, the elevator was very old, and there were a lot of stairs. They made every effort to maintain it, but the building was very old.

The Waterford on the Bay was very nice and clean. The staff member during the tour was helpful. The dining area was nice, but I didn't care for the food. They have bingo, and they have lounges. The food should be better; a lot of people were complaining about the taste.

The Waterford on the Bay is good for somebody with medium budget in New York. The rooms were spacious and clean. However, when I went for the tour, it wasn't exactly planned well. The staff member who took me for the tour wasn't even informed that I was coming, and she wasn't expecting me. I waited in the lobby for about 10 to 15 minutes before she came. She was nice and she took me for a tour, but I felt a little lack of energy there. The bathrooms were OK, but the tiles looked very old. Also, for a shared room, they were charging a budget price in New York. For that kind of price, it's reasonable. The dining area wasn't fancy, but it was nice. The staff showed me the nursing station at the memory care unit. She did mention that they have activities to engage people. In the summertime, they would take them outside, too.

The Waterford on the Bay was amazing, like a 5-star hotel. Its beautiful, really big, and right on the water. They have a lot of different rooms for everything, was clean looking, and nice. There are things to do on different floors, like a movie room. The person I met was amazing, she was really nice and showed me everything, but they never followed up when I called back. I saw their two dining areas were very big and had a menu.

My mother-in-law is at The Waterford on the Bay. They've been wonderful. They allowed us to pick out what food she likes and they allowed us to bring her clothes. Every time we see her, the aides seem to be feeding her or dressing her or changing her and they're very busy with the other people, too. I have only good things to say about them. They were wonderful from the admission people, to the dietary, to the nursing, and to the aides, and they're going to assess her for rehab. We are very happy she's there. They're always cleaning. She has early dementia, and they have her in the activities that she can do. They were very good to us and they took her right away. I know she's safe, and I could go to sleep and not see her. She's on the Serenity unit.

The Waterford on the Bay was lovely. I was very impressed with the place. Everything was beautiful. The menu was great. The tour that I took was very good. The rooms were very beautiful. As a matter of fact, if my brother was coming up, I would have put him in there. They had a lot of different activities to keep them occupied. They had a lot of games. They had a game room where you could play, so it was quite nice. The staff members were very accommodating. I looked at the room where it could accommodate two patients and at a private room. The rooms were both very nice. Everything was quite outstanding. Everybody was very cooperative, friendly, and willing to show me everything. Everything was nice.

The Waterford on the Bay is good, nice, and clean. The staff is very helpful. My mom pretty much keeps to herself so she doesn't join the activities, but they have bingo. They have a library, cafeteria, beauty salon, and a common area with internet access. The rooms are small with their own bathroom.

My father moved into Waterford on the Bay almost a month ago. The place is clean. The only complaint is the food. The staff is friendly, attentive, and assist him. He doesn't have any problems with that. They had a band play and a birthday party.

The Waterford on the Bay had very nice staff. The apartment was smaller, and it was not really an apartment but just a room. It is more assisted living, and where my mom is now is more independent living. The people were very nice, and the staff was super nice and friendly, but the food was not very good, and the activities were not very sophisticated. They had a lot of Bingo and charades, but they don’t have actual lectures and people that come in and do things like real activities. But it costs less, so it is worth it too. It has wonderful views and is still very nice, and it was actually our second choice. They have a memory floor where people were locked in their rooms, and they have visiting hours like in a hospital. The rooms had no kitchens at all, not even a hotplate, so you have no option but to eat their food. It is still a good place, if you want to go there.

The Waterford on the Bay seemed very friendly and clean. It was easy to get in and out of. Everybody was very nice, and we liked it. They had shared apartments basically where two people had their own room, and they would have a shared kitchen; that was what we were prepared for. The facility is in Sheepshead Bay. It's right on the water, and you could sit out on the water. which is really nice. They have a big nice dining room that has lots of windows to look at on the water which is good. The food was decent.

They spent a lot of money on the lobby. I ate at The Waterford, and the food wasn’t great. The room was horrible; there was hardly any closet space, and the bathroom was tiny. I think that’s the one that had bath tubs. You have to get a sliding door, and that’s not accommodating somebody in this category. The staff was OK. The outdoor sitting area while it was near at the water, was right in the parking lot; if somebody came into that parking lot, they could hit somebody or kill somebody sitting on the bench there. There was no proper outside areas, and even the inside areas -- the common areas and the dining room -- were big enough, but the rest of it wasn’t. I actually sat with the residents, and she said, "I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have to be;" she had a lot of complaints.

I had my father admitted to The Waterford on the Bay Senior Living. They are on the bay, which is a huge plus. They do offer a kosher diet which is a deal breaker for me. It’s a clean and bright facility. They have a dedicated Alzheimer's care unit, which is where my father is placed. I really have no major issues to report as this time. I was impressed enough to have my father admitted there. The staff is exceptional. I have a relationship with most of the staff there. They all treat me like a VIP, and if they treat me well, I’m sure they treat my father well, which is more important. My father is in a private room, so he has a nice view overlooking the bay. There’s a bed and a dresser. There are no appliances, but the rooms are average. I think the pricing is fair, and what I really appreciate is that there are no hidden fees. There are 3 square meals a day being served on time, and they are above quality. He seems to be eating healthy and even put on a few pounds. They have someone stationed at the front desk at all times. They have a security buzzer at the front door, so they are able to monitor who comes in and who comes out. They have cameras and sign-in books. They had a monthly calendar that they kept so they try to keep the residents engaged with activities. It’s different if you’re in the Alzheimer's unit because they do not get to participate in many activities unless they are accompanied by someone like myself. In general, it seemed like they had a full slate of activities. They had haircuts and manicures.

The people that work at Waterford seemed very friendly. It looked clean, but it seemed a little older. I’m not saying it’s a bad place; it’s just the style of the place maybe.

The Waterford is huge and nice with a sky light and a closed-in terrace you can sit on that faces the bay. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but they were all facing the ocean, which was very nice. They had a serenity floor for people with dementia, and it looked like they took very good care of patients on that floor. The dining room was nice and set up with big tables where a few people can sit. They had a beauty salon and a therapy room, and they take the residents out on trips. The staff was very nice; she gave me a tour on my own.

Waterford wasn't just luxurious, but they certainly did seem very clean, very accommodating, and caring. The residents looked happy, and it was a very nice residence also. The rooms and all were very lovely; it was just a little bare, not so luxurious. But, still, the priority being the residents and the care that I saw going on, I was very impressed. There were activities going on, and I saw alert people walking around and looking for, "OK, where is everybody hanging out now?" So it was nice to see.

Waterford on the Bay was really lovely. This facility had a lot of positive things about it. There were lots of different kinds of spaces to sit in or interact in with residents. There were four different outdoor spaces and eight indoor spaces. The lounge on the 4th floor had a pool table, which would be attractive to men because it had a manly feel. There was another floor attractive to women or men who would like to read. The people who worked there were really lovely, very engaging, and seemed very happy at their jobs.

The Waterford on the Bay was wonderful but unfortunately with the community Medicaid, I would have to pay $175 for the aides to be in there and I can’t afford it. Plus, I would have to pay another $3000 a month to have my mother there. I was very disappointed. The place was beautiful. The apartments were nice and the rooms looked like hotel rooms. They have a special floor for the dementia patients, which is a locked floor. But the dining room was a little small for the amount of people that they had in there. It looked a little crowded but it was clean. The rest of the population is like a hotel, its right by the water and it’s beautiful. But it is very expensive. The woman that helped, she was just wonderful. I was very impressed. They showed me their laundry room, the woman fold laundries, arts and crafts room. The dining room was beautiful and the lobby was gorgeous. I thought it was like a 5 star hotel. They had a big desk just like in a hotel check-in desk. They have activities for them which looked very positive.

I visited The Waterford for my husband. It was very lovely. It was equal to the other facility. However, the latter seemed to have more aides or help and that was a concern. My husband does need help because he is in a wheelchair. The place was comparable though. It was also lovely. It seemed also very nice. They had nice rooms and nice dining room. I would say it was equal as far as the surrounding. The staff was very nice and their rooms were a little newer than the other facility.

The Waterford is a really nice one. They are really good and very attentive. They have very good service, and it is very clean. I went with my mom, and she said she would go now if I would pay for her. She was ready to sign up, but she doesn't need assisted living. We all loved it. It has a hotel feel in it which is good because it didn't feel that we were in a senior living facility. They have buses that bring you to different locations like outings.

The rooms were average, and they were nice. The dining room was nice. It wasn't exactly fine dining, but it was close to it. Waterford is nice because it is by the water, and it has nice scenery; you can see the ocean and ships at bay. It was a pretty nice community.

My brother is at The Waterford on the Bay. It was very nice and upfront with everyone; he likes it there. The rooms and the apartment are very nice. He has a waterfront room so he has a very big room which is what he wanted. We had lunch, and the food was delicious. The dining room is big with several tables. They have lots of activities like exercise, movies, and different activities going on in different rooms. They have different types of community rooms where they do recreation. Everyone seemed very nice, and the staff working there seemed really nice. It’s very clean.

My ex-husband stayed at The Waterford on the Bay for two months. The place was very nice. It’s more of like a home type, but it was just so expensive. His room is very nice and clean as well. The staff were very nice and very friendly. Their food is very good, and their dining area is very open and very clean. They have a lot of activities for their residents. They have bingo and entertainment that come in on Sunday night. They do have different kinds of activities.

The staff that I met with at The Waterford on the Bay was a Ms. Jessica G. She was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and very informative. She shared a lot of information when she took me on a tour. I was first impressed because when I entered the building, I really liked the way the lobby looked and the concierge desk, which has my name on it. Evidently, they were expecting me, and that was the first thing that impressed me. I went to one of the guest bathrooms, and to me the cleanliness of a bathroom is a verification of the overall cleanliness of any facility, and their bathroom was very, very clean and odor-free, so I was very pleased with that. She showed me some of the guest rooms, and I liked the way that the rooms looked spacious enough for the needs of my uncle. She showed me an unoccupied room, and she got permission for me to come into an occupied room, and it was neat. There was no odor, so I was pleased with that. Overall, it was a good experience because, prior to going there, I had visited a couple of other facilities that I was not pleased with at all.

The Palm Beach Home for Adults facility is one of my favorite assisted living locations. Outside of the facility is a small and quite neighborhood and the center itself produces a "home sweet home" feeling. Once you enter the center the workers greet you and everything is organized and taken care of. The center looked nice and clean throughout and the bathrooms were clean. The rooms were spacious and had large windows with good views of the neighborhood. The senior citizens looked happy and pleased with the service offered at the assisted living center. And the staff was always on top of things and made sure that everyone was happy.
