"We have an aide from Partners in Care for my mother-in-law. We got them through a doctor. The aide cooks, bathes her, keeps the apartment clean, and keeps my mother-in-law clean also. She puts her in Depends and keeps her private areas all clean. We like the aide and asked to keep her because she is familiar with my mother-in-law and knows what has to be done. Partners in Care is very good and does what they have to do for my mother-in-law to take care of her. We've seen an improvement in her. "

"We hired Hospice of New York for my aunt. It's been a positive experience. They have been professional and have communicated well. Their staff has been on time, and they have followed up with us. The scheduling is fine, they have kept to the schedule, and it's been well done. It has been a very good experience. They provide nursing services, a social worker, and a home health aide."

"Calvary Hospital Hospice is very good. My mom-in-law is there for hospice and they are open from 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week. The nurses and the aides are excellent. They help my mom-in-law with everything, from toileting to keeping her comfortable, to feeding her. They're very good, very efficient, and very caring. I don't like the doctor though. He's not very communicative."

"First I want to say when trying to research a home hospice service for reviews there were hardly any. This is why I am writing this review on MJHS. My mom recently had a massive stroke and after being in the hospital for several weeks we needed a company that provides home hospice care. We reached out to MJHS and they did everything from explaining the process to setting up the equipment needed to make mom as comfortable as possible in our house. The equipment came the day before so when mom got released everything was there and set up for her. I found them to be very caring and compassionate to my mom. They treated her with respect and were very gentle with her. Mom passed away 5 days later but in that time they treated her like their own family. I want to thank MJHS, the aides, nurses and staff for the care they gave my mom in her own home. The only negative otherwise I would of given five stars is that no one came to pick up all the medications left in my home that mom was taking. "

"Watching someone that you love die causes terrible grief and stress. This service was offered to us in my mothers nursing home. We watched my mothers health decline within the last 2 month tremendously, she does not eat, nor does she open her eyes. i felt that she knew we were there because she would nod or shake her head to questions ask, but now I'm not so sure. When the staff of this agency 1st came to me they seemed caring and interested in my mother and family. nearly 2 weeks and i feel that they are looking to move her onto the next life sooner than I am ready to let go...Fortunately I have never had to deal with Hospice services and I hope that i never have to again...If your parent is in a nursing home, and you cant afford to pay for weekend help you're on your own here... this hospice only gives you a companion mon- fri (no dying on weekends)..My nursing home which seemed to be way understaffed this past weekend, allowed my mothers both arms to blow up like popeyes from the Iv that she was on, and the woman that I hired to come in to assist me, when I couldnt be there.... found my mother twice covered in blood.... once from a nose blled which they stated was caused from the oxygen drying out nasal passage and the second time some messed up the IV and blood was trickling out for some time....not sure how long for the amount of blood that we saw.......surely sounds like neglect,on my part for trusting this hospice which promises dignity and easy care for patient and my nursing home which no longer seems to care since placing her into hospice "

"I have had two different experiences with family members at Father Hudson House. It is never an easy choice to make when having a loved one terminally ill, but I will say it ended up being two of the most loving and kind choices for us. Both family members were treated kindly and compassionately and so were we as their family. The most special people work here everyday, and I can not imagine it is easy. But they are professional and made us all feel comfortable. I know my relatives were treated with the utmost respect and their journeys were made easier because of the care they received. our family cannot thank them enough."

"My mom is now in University Hospice-Addeo Hospice Residence. It is a facility for end-of-life care. It's excellent. Their staff are little angels. The facility itself is very private and immaculately clean. They have one aide and one nurse per patient. There's only eight patients in the whole facility, so they're very attentive. I have no complaints whatsoever. They give excellent care there. Everybody has a private room. They all have a nice view. It's very clean and spacious. They allow you to bring in some of your own stuff to make it feel homey."

"Two years ago my father was treated at Cabrini Hospice. Although he was in his last stages of Alzheimer's disease, he was treated with dignity and respect. The nurses were very welcoming and caring. They truly understood what my dad and my family were going through. It helped being able to spend the last few weeks by my father's bedside and not be kicked out of his room because visiting hours were over. They were open 24 hours a day and even provided a cot for my own comfort and rest. While these were the most difficult moments of my life, having my father comfortable and taken care of by people who truly cared made a big difference and took a huge weight off of my own shoulders."

"I placed my very ill mother into the care of the Villa and a better decision, I could not have made. Although her time was extremely short to my surprise, only 5 days, I know those days were lived by my mother without pain. Her spiritual needs were met and I was relieved to finally place here where I knew she belonged despite the incompetent medical staff in my area. She lived a total of 15 days after diagnosis. This is the place I wish to go when it is my time, or my only other loved ones. "

"I'm using Jansen Hospice & Palliative Care for my wife. They're excellent. They're really super, very caring service, and very prompt with supplies. They're just outstanding. Their aides are very good and committed to the patients, which is really, really good. They're caring and professional. And certainly, the needs of the patient and the family are really high concerns, and so it has been a real help to all of us."

"The past 3 months have been heartbreaking as our family watched my Grandfather leave us. In the last month of his life we were struck with the fact that he would no longer rebound in any rehabilitation center so we decided to bring him home, it was what we wanted. That is when we found Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester. I can't even begin to describe how knowledgeable, loving and compassionate everyone within the company was that our family came in contact with from our first inquiry with them until his last dying day. His Nurse, who was always a phone call away, was such a gentle soul that helped ease not only my grandfather but our entire family. It was really a breathe of fresh air. I am so thankful for the care they provided. If there ever comes a time in your life when you need to use home hospice service for a loved one I highly recommend Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester. "

"My mother was at this hospice. It is a well designed, upper-end modern facility, and has a very warm ambiance: it does not feel like a sterile hospital. The head nurses are very responsive. They have comfortable lounge areas, and allow visitors to stay overnight, either in the same room as the resident, or in rooms that are not occupied. Some of the helper staff seem less skilled and not well trained: one of them kept bringing food after my mother could no longer take solid food. But overall, a good experience for both the resident and the family. "

"We have a visiting nurse come in from Hospice Care Network for my mother-in-law. They offer four hours a day of a health aide and weekly visits of the registered nurse. The nurses they provided are phenomenal. They're very good, very patient, and very kind. We had an aide, but it wasn't necessary because I live here with my mother. We've called for oxygen, we got it the same night. Any meds we requested are immediately delivered the same day. When she was uncomfortable, the nurse came within 45 minutes. The response time is immediate. Someone always answers the phone and someone is always available. I'm very pleased especially with the nurses. All of them are very kind and helpful."

"My mother spent her final days being cared for by the wonderful staff. I cannot begin to describe the care that she was given. The staff was so loving and dedicated. My family and I were able to be with mom. She was at peace and her every need was tended to. They even took such wonderful care of my family. "

"Atlantic Hospice was absolutely wonderful. The people who worked there were kind and courteous, and followed up with phone calls after she passed to see how I was doing. They were just terrific, kind, loving, and made my mother feel comfortable. They were associated with her geriatric doctor. He recommended them and was able to get in touch with me, so it was easy. I would absolutely recommend it because they were just wonderful. I didn't have any trouble with them at all. "
