We chose Villa Marie Claire Hospice & Palliative Services because of the tranquility when I walked into that place. I felt like I could stay there. It just felt so at home just walking through the doors. I felt the welcome and the serenity. My brother is in hospice there. I like the care from the facility nurses and the administration office keeps me very, very updated with everything that's going on. I'm informed of everything and I get conference calls. The food is made to order fresh every day. It's very good. The facility itself is also clean. They have a salon, a children's playroom, and a nice eating room, but those things are off-limits right now because of this pandemic. Parking is very good and the grounds are beautiful. We were concerned about parking but theirs is right into the facility so there are no long walks. Every dime that's being applied for my brother's care is all accounted for. You can see what you're paying for.

I placed my very ill mother into the care of the Villa and a better decision, I could not have made. Although her time was extremely short to my surprise, only 5 days, I know those days were lived by my mother without pain. Her spiritual needs were met and I was relieved to finally place here where I knew she belonged despite the incompetent medical staff in my area. She lived a total of 15 days after diagnosis. This is the place I wish to go when it is my time, or my only other loved ones.

The grief counselor is lovely. The nursing staff is kind. Administrative services are inept, no one at reception desk on weekend, understaffed and uninformed when info is requested. Disappointed, but dealt with an inevitable loss in spite of it.

I've never experienced a loved one passing. Villa Marie Claire Hospice helped me with the whole process of dealing with the whole thing. If you could say death is a beautiful experience, they made it a beautiful experience. It was very spiritual. We said our prayers before my father passed. I can't say enough things about it. They encouraged us to talk, to deal with what's going on. They helped my mom and they helped me deal with my mom. And they were even there for us afterwards. There was even a follow up phone call after a month or so. It was superb. From 1 to 10, I would give them a 20.
