The Villa at Riverwood was my favorite, and it's the one that I've chosen for my family. It's very nice and the appearance is well kept up. It's the best for the money, I've looked at many of them and I always go back to them. The people that work there are wonderful. I have friends there, and I go there every week. The staff is very nice, and they have longevity, they have been there a long time. They go out of the way for their residents, to make them happy and comfortable. The meals are very good and well presented. They have lots of activities.

My friend recently moved in here and I visited. The room needed a fresh coat of paint and her carpet was not as clean as one should expect. The hall outside her room smelled horribly of sewage and there seemed to be no urgency to correct it. The food was institutional - not even as good as you might get at a low end Dennys. There is an "all day" menu but that is meaningless. On the plus side, the staff are very nice.

I chose The Villa at Riverwood because that is half a mile from my son and maybe five miles from my other son. They supply three meals a day, every day, and not just one meal a week. They have people who come in once every week and clean your room or do your laundry or whatever you want them to do. They have pull cords for emergencies in both the living room and the bedroom. The Villa at Riverwood had people sitting in the hallways, talking, and when we would walk by, they'd say, hi, how are you? Riverwood is $1,000 more expensive a month but they offer so many amenities, clubs, and people who get together for one reason or another. They already put my name on a room they have reserved for me at no charge until I move in.

I have moved into The Villa at Riverwood. They have different activities, and they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All kinds of recreation are going on during the day. They have a hairdresser here. They have people come in, play the piano and sing, and they have a choir here. They also have religious programs. In my apartment, I have the living room area, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. They have other room types. The staff is wonderful. They have a cafeteria and anything you want you just have to ask, and they'll get it for you.

We liked The Villa at Riverwood because the rent includes all 3 full meals and a 2-bedroom apartment. They have a person that comes in for therapy. If you had any injuries and your doctor requires therapy, we wouldn't have to leave the building. What we liked about it was that it's kind of secluded back in the trees. It has a park area in the U-shaped section in the back. There's an elevator, a parking area out front, and a walking path around the facility. They also allow pets. They have entertainment that comes in regularly. They have happy hour every two weeks, and they offer Wii bowling for exercise. They have a crafts room, and there's an area where you could share a computer if you don't have one of your own. There's also a library. There are snacks and coffee outside the large patio next to the cafeteria, and you can get that all day long. They do have transportation to the doctors, and your shopping, and they sponsor activities too. The people there are very friendly. The staff who assisted me was very helpful. The only thing my husband was wishing for was a balcony, but they don't have those. You can arrange for assistance if you're sick or coming back from a stay at a hospital. You could also arrange one week's free meals delivered to your apartment so you don't have to come downstairs. We had dinner there and it was good. It was a little dry, but it was tasty.

We visited The Villa at Riverwood. We met with the intake person, Bob, and he was very outgoing and easy to talk with, and very accommodating as far as coming back again and measuring things and doing that kind of thing. He introduced us to a lot of different people as we walked through the halls. The people there were very nice. They would come up and say hi or introduce themselves. My father was pleased with the staff and with the accommodations as far as the rooms. We liked the room because they had like a little offset area where he could put his desk and stuff. It wasn't just one big square/that everything looked like it was in the same area. The grounds were well-maintained and there's even a bird sanctuary there. It's nice to look at your windows and see green and not just parking lots. They sent us home with a pastry after our time there. We didn't really necessarily go at a mealtime. There were some residents playing cards and in a couple different areas were games. There's a puzzle laid out that a woman does and encourages other people to join in on. They're having their morning exercise in a common area. The next time we went, they were setting up for an ice cream social for that evening. My father liked the place.

We visited The Villa at Riverwood. The room that we saw was very nice. The person who gave us the tour was really knowledgeable, and they told us what was what. They also do exercises there. The dining room was very nice; it's a restaurant type. The main thing for us is we can afford it.

We went to the Villa at Riverwood and that's the one we decided to choose for my father. It seemed very nice, connected, and personal. The directors and the nurse were there, and they have been very caring and helpful. They're delivering food to the rooms, they're very careful with the virus, and that was very reassuring to us.

The Villa at Riverwood was beautiful. The living area was fine. The dining set up was beautiful. The person who accommodated me was a very nice gentleman. They do outings, games, and musicals. They had a patio for barbecues and transportation for those who want to go to different places. I had lunch, and the food was very good. I wanted their apartment on the first floor, which was a two-bedroom. It was more like a house to me. I liked it, but the only thing I didn't like was that it had a little smell to it. That turned me off a little bit.

I visited The Villa at Riverwood, and the setting was beautiful there. The outdoor areas were wonderful, they had a patio, and a walkway around the whole place. There were some landscapes, a garden, and a pool. The rooms were good, but not as nice as the other places. The people were nice, and the staff was very good. The food was not very good, and I was not impressed with it.

I got a referral for The Villa and moved there. It's a little dated, and the food is not that great. They provide three meals a day, and housekeeping once a week.

I visited The Villa at Riverwood. The staff were so friendly, particularly Bob. They showed me all sizes of rooms and served three meals a day. They would take you to doctors' appointments. I had lunch with them. The food was OK.

I visited The Villa at Riverwood. It was very nice and very close to my house. The staff was good. I ate there and thought the food was good. They have activities and an exercise room. The rooms were very nice. During the time I visited, they had brought in a lady to demonstrate how to make a recipe, which I thought was nice. They had many sitting rooms for entertaining friends. The atmosphere in the dining room and facility was good.

The Villa at Riverwood was a very pretty place. It was very well decorated and well kept up, and the people seemed friendly. However, the apartment that I saw was very crowded with furniture, though that was the personal choice of the person who had it, but it was a difficulty for me because I'm in a wheelchair, and I couldn't maneuver around the place because it had so much furniture in it. At the same time, I didn't know until I went there, that they are not accessible by people in wheelchairs because the doors are narrow, and there are step-ups in the places where wheelchair would be a handicap. We had lunch, and the food was good. On looking over the menu, it looked like it was a varied menu for the month. They have activities where they went out to different events like theater, and they have also activities there on campus like chess and bridge classes and bingo of course. However, they should have announced that the facility was not wheelchair accessible.

I am the Executive Director and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit us. Your positive review of our community and your lovely comments regarding our food, menu selections and Lifestyle 360 recreation programs are very much appreciated. I would like to address your concerns regarding the wheelchair accessibility. We do have many residents who live here that use wheelchairs. Our Community has several elevators which make getting around easier and we can make accommodations in specific apartments to meet certain needs. Please let me know if we can assist you with anything else. Again, thank you very much for taking the time to visit and to post your review.

The Villa at riverwood use to be the nicest, cheapest and welcoming staff. I have seen in the last 2 years a huge change in staff and community outings. I was said to see the amazing Activity directory of 18 years retire she was so passionate about her job and care for the residents. The educative director if you can call her that is rude and disrespectful and have witness myself first hand. I have reported her several times and have never seen any action taken. Please be aware show uo unannounced and I'm sure you will witness it yourself. I have recently removed my family member due to the excutive director.

Mom is at The Villa at Riverwood. We like it because it's close to where she lives. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The place is consistently clean, and her room is spacious. She does have a kitchen facility.

The Villa at Riverwood was very nice, but it was a little more expensive than what Mom was looking for. However, I liked the way everything looked. It was newer than the other communities. I also liked the people there. The staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were very nice. My mom enjoyed the food. It would be better if they were more reasonably priced.

Overall this is a good facilitiy. the biggest complaint among residents is the small food portions. occassionally the food portions are good. 9 out of 10 times they are not. residents have complained to me personally about leaving the table still hungry.
