Asbury Village was very clean and very well organized. It looked like it was well staffed. It was a very nice place. I was only interested in a studio style apartment situation for my mother. The room was very attractive and well decorated. It had a kitchenette and a nice-sized bathroom. It was very neat and very nice. The tour guide there was very knowledgeable and very polite. I came away with a very positive impression. They had a dining room there. They can cook in their own apartments, but for those that don't want to, there's food available. Each meal is an additional cost, but I was very impressed with the place.

We toured Asbury Village for my sister. The staff was very cordial, friendly, and informative. She was very accommodating and gave us all the information that we needed and asked for. She also supplied us with information that I could share with my sister. The building was not the biggest by any means, but it was certainly very clean and very nicely arranged.

We chose Asbury Village for my brother. It's beautiful. They're very friendly and very accommodating. They showed me the whole place yesterday, and it's just amazing. I was very impressed. It didn't have the funky or the nursing home-type smells. It was very clean. The people were very helpful. If I have questions, I can still call them and ask them. That's how nice they are. They're looking forward to seeing my brother. I just have high praise for them. When I first went there, they were having an event in this one room. I saw a lot of residents there and there was a person conducting the event. I could see they were quite happy. The residents I saw yesterday were saying hi to me. It was just a positive feeling there. The first time I went wasn't planned. I drove by with a friend to see where it's at, so when I did have that appointment for yesterday, I know where to go. I got to see how it is in its natural form. It wasn't like a staged appearance because I just showed up all of a sudden, and if they had anything to hide, it was not hidden because it was what it was and it was nice. I was impressed the first time I went there to check it out. I feel very safe putting my brother there.

I did a tour of Asbury Village, and it was very positive. I met the chef who is in charge of the kitchen, and I met one of the resident ambassadors there. She's actually the one that took me on the tour. Then, I got to see everything that they have to offer. But one thing that I was very impressed with is, because they are a methodist supported home, it used to be called Methodist Village, but they decided to change it because people were giving the wrong impression that you had to be Methodist to live there. Their population is actually more Catholic than anything else. They have a very nice chapel there, and they have a priest that comes in every week to say mass, which is important to me because I'm Catholic. What I was looking at is independent living because I am completely independent. I don't need any level of care, but the thing is, I want to be in a place where at some point that I do need that, then it's available. I was not there during any active time when people were like in the dining room or doing activities or anything. It was very quiet that day. They gave me a calendar of activities and they also gave me a menu. If I decided that I cook my own meals to eat in the dining room, then you get a certain amount of credit that's included in your monthly fee that you can use or not.

My mother was at Asbury Village for 10 days for respite care. She lived in the assisted living section of the building. They helped her with toileting, dressing up,and medication, and they helped her with meals throughout the day. The staff was OK. I was not very happy with the level of care there, that's why I brought her home early. They were not aware of the level of care that my mom needed. There was some disconnect between the admissions with my mom, the paperwork, and the medical records. There was a lot of confusion, so they didn't know what to do. Some comments weren't very positive since they didn't understand and know what to do. So, I thought it was safer for her to come out of there. Her room was OK. The lock fell off of the door while she was there. They didn't have the cable set up. We had to work on that for the first few hours there. It wasn't what I expected, but it was not a horrible place. They showed me one section of the building that was nice when I came for the walk- through, but it's kind of different from the section that she stayed in. The food was fairly decent. She enjoyed the hamburger that they served one day. It was a good value, but then you get what you pay for as well. As far as the cost, it was about the cheapest I ran across.

My mother will be moving into Asbury Village. They took me to all the amenities that they have, the activities, and the dining room. I was also able to see a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom unit. They have game rooms where they do certain activities. The rooms were very nice. The staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were slightly bigger and the pricing was cheaper than others.

I liked Asbury Village. It's nice, clean, convenient and the staff was nice. I just enjoyed it all. I have a little dog and they had an apartment that had a place outdoors where I could take my dog out. They have programs for the residents, a library, movie nights, a shuttle that takes them shopping or to medical appointments, and trips to other places. It's a very nice, well-rounded community. Somebody's there 24 hours a day and it's so secure. So, I liked that. I had friends there that I visited before and the food was very good.

I'll be moving into Asbury Village. I will have a big living room, a bedroom, and a full kitchen. I will have a dishwasher, a full stove, and a refrigerator. There is a washer and dryer there where I did not have to go down the hall to use the washing machine. My apartment will be such that I will do my own cooking. I lived in a villa there. They have villas there as well as apartments. One big apartment is for independent living, and then at the other end of property is like for people with dementia. I made friends the first time I lived there, and they're still there. They all knew me since I walked in. They have their own chapel there, they have their activities going there, and they have a beauty shop there. They have a van that will take you to the doctors, to the grocery store, or wherever you need to go if you don't have a car or a vehicle. So it is everything that I need. They have bingo and exercises. Sometime this week, the staff told me that they were having the youngsters come in and put on a show for them. You can go to like crafts, and there's the library if you want to go to the library, and then they have like card games if you want to get involved in that. I have my own balcony where I can sit outside. The building is very well, such that if I wanted to go someplace, I can step out into the hall and there are signs telling you where everything is at. First, they give you a map to show you where everything is at. It's very nice. Each and every resident has their own door decorated up. It's beautiful. It's just beautiful. The staff has been very friendly and always helpful. They have a cleaning lady come in and clean for you. They're excellent. I get to meet anybody up there that has been a negative attitude. I have yet to meet that, and I have lived there before.

My mother has moved into Asbury Village. It is located near where I am. Having her near me was the key factor, and the reputation was very good. It received very high marks in the independent surveys, and it was affordable. It has everything except out-and-out nursing home care for those that are totally incapacitated. My mother is in the assisted living. There are also apartments and separate living accommodations for those who wish to use that, meals, and recreation. No resident and no staff member at this location came down with Covid. She's only been in there for a month and a half, but it's been very positive.

Avoid at all costs. My parent's sold their lifelong home and moved into the independent living villas. They thought this was their final home. The village made big promises before we moved them there and lied about many things! We were told the "rent" $2900/month wouldn't raise for a couple years. It raise 3 times in 2.5 years. We were told any assistance my parents needed they would help, just call. The transportation that was promised to dr appts and stores was limited to 2 days a week in a couple hour block, for the entire place and we all know dr. offices are available when you tell them to be. We couldn't even get a ceiling fan that had an electrical issue replaced. We had to purchase our own because they said we owned it. - Yes in a villa they rented. When my dad fell, my mom called them for help and she was told they couldn't help for her to call fire dept or ambulance for assistance. My dad was in a nursing home for rehab, the village decided that my mother could no longer care for him by herself. (Even though we had aides to come in and help and my mother was certified by the state as a caregiverand had been doing so for many years) so they informed us that my father was not allowed to return to the villa. They told us this on a Friday and he was being released the following week. The stress on my mother was horrible!!! She had to make decisions fast and without my dad ever seeing the place we ended up moving them to, which made her feel horrible. We had less than a week to find a new place to live and move all their items. We found out they were doing this to 2 other residence at the same time. First of all they had my mom so scared that they were going to kick her out and she thought they could refuse to let my dad come back there. They also broke HIPPA by contacting the nursing home and asking about his health since we did not sign any forms giving them permission. Honestly I am so glad they are out of that place but wish it had happened a different way. They literally did nothing but rent my parents a very expensive villa and mow the grass. They did nothing else. I feel sorry for elderly people who may not have family involved, this was a horrible 2.5 years that I don't wish on anyone but at least we were all there to help them get through it. Please do not put your family members through this place!

These people are the most wonderful folk. They helped my family when we were in a very desparate situation and worked with the hospital to help my mom's transition from independent to community living go smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about them and consider them livesavers. The facility is equally wonderful - really giving its residence everything they need and beyond. My mom raves about the food as well. We are so glad we picked UMV and encourage others to do so!

I chose it for my dad because it is very nice. The staff working there is very good. They also have a wide variety of social activities. They have outings, exercise, and book groups. I could say that the food is adequate. They don't have a dining room though. They have individual dining areas for the small groups. The security of the community is very good.

I was looking for a place for my mother and I happened to visit this one. Just basing on my visit there, it appeared to be very well run. I like their director there. She was very warm and very friendly. The people there were just willing to meet your needs. It was a very nice place but it just happened to be a little bit larger and I like for my mom to stay in a smaller home atmosphere. Their accommodations were pretty much the same as other facilities. They also have studios, one-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom apartments. They were a little bit more expensive though.
