"Lake St. Charles was very complete with their care and services, which impressed us, and the price point was much better than anywhere else we looked. We visited both assisted living and independent living. The staff was very nice. They offered us some meals, but we did not take them up on it. It's not brand new, but it's very well kept up."

"Tower Grove Manor was wonderful. The people there were so nice. I was going to rent a studio apartment, and it was huge. Anybody that moves there is lucky. They had dining, a gym, and church services. They had everything. The staff during the tour was very nice. She still actually calls to check on me. I did want to move in there. The apartment I was looking at had a huge walk-in closet, a walk-in shower, a dining room, a full kitchen, and a huge room, which would be the main room. They have one- and two-bedroom also. I was just looking for a studio, and the price was really good."

"I visited Harvester Residential Care. The place was very nice. It was clean. There were people to talk to and they gave me all kinds of information. It was an easy conversation. The staff is friendly and helpful. They did everything they could to show me what they had. They have a room with a treadmill and exercise equipment. It's open to anybody's use if it is available."

"Rockwood is small in a good way but a little bit older and dark inside, so I don’t think it’s going to be a right fit because it’s not updated. I liked that the rooms were quite spacious with a good-size kitchen and a good-size living space and bedroom. The staff is very friendly and very clear about the information. "

"Not only have I visited this facility, but my sister was a former employee at this facility. Friendship Village is nestled in a beautiful, park-like area in Chesterfield MO. Friendship Village has many amenities to offer its residents such as an indoor beauty salon, bowling alley, bank, and a magnificent dining area. Residents enjoy the friendly staff and the one on one attention they receive from their caregivers. The facility is large but very well laid out, thus making it easy to get around. Friendship Village offers excellent transportation service for the residents. Through this transportation system the residents can run errands, go to doctors appointments, and complete many other task that require transportation. Friendship Village is located in Chesterfield MO, an upscale suburb of St. Louis MO. Friendship Village truly lives up to its name. It is not just a community but a village that is made up of friends. "

"The Village at Morse Farm was very nice and I was very impressed with it. It's very reasonable, but it's in the wrong direction from where we need to be. It's further east, and we need to be north or west. It was very clean, pleasant, and all modern, and the staff was very helpful. It was an excellent facility."

"Revela at O'Fallon was brand new. It's beautiful. It's very impressive. It's huge. They have a bigger memory care wing, and so we went into that. Everything was great. It's just expensive. It's private pay, so once mom's money runs out, then she has to leave. The room was beautiful, clean, and new. The staff was very nice, and very gracious, took me around, and spent like 45 minutes with me. They have a pastry chef, so it's pretty amazing. They had a lot of people out doing things. Even within the memory care, they were participating in something. Either they were playing a game or they were doing some kind of activity. There's a courtyard, but it's all secure, and they're checking on them once an hour. It's not like they can leave without somebody knowing it, but you have the freedom to kind of move around and go to different areas."

"I toured The Boulevard of St Peters. The executive manager was awesome. He was so nice, caring, talkative, and guiding us in the right direction. The unit they showed me was two rooms. It's got a walk-in bath and a little kitchenette. The staff was beyond great. The place was brand new and perfect. They had a walking area, which was nice, too."

"We chose Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections for my mom because of the closeness to the family, and also they had a room that opened out to a common area (which I thought was important to her). She's in memory care. They've been very good to my mother. They have bent over backwards to answer any questions or address any issues that we/our family had. They've just been very, very responsive. The staff is great. The food looks and smells good. I've been there when they served meals, but I have no clue with the actual taste. I haven't really been there much when they're doing activities, but I know that they have housekeeping things for them to do. They'll have them fold clothes. They decorated pumpkins for Halloween. There's something every day that she can participate in. I've seen their calendar and I've talked to people, so I know they're doing it. It's a gorgeous facility."

"Villa Rose Senior Living was clean, but they did not offer the services that the others did, and the price was about the same. The rooms were OK. The kitchen was kind of small. "

"My husband is in memory care at The Estates of Hidden Lake, and I'm very satisfied with it. They have activities for them, and the care by the aides that assist him is very good. It's just a pleasant place for him, and I feel he's very comfortable there. I'm also comfortable having him there. The staff is very personable, and very professional, and they relate to the residents there very well. It's a small town, it's not large, and they don't have a large group of residents. Therefore, they can really spend a lot of time with each resident in the house. The facility is very clean. They do crafts, they have games or group games, and the residents can attend church services there. Around the holidays, they do activities to make things attuned to the holiday, so it's a very pleasant place."

"A friend of ours was on vacation from Missouri to Tennessee. This vacation was long over-due. He and his wife found a hotel; checked in on their first night he had a terrific headache, fell to the floor. She immediately called the ambulance after rushing him to the hospital in Tennessee he was diagnose with an amurizum. Cannot remember the hospital there -- his stay was weeks until they stabilized him. After shipping him back to Missouri to the Christian Hospital his stay there was long also. Finally they more him to Village North Rehab Center. This place didn't have a nasty odor, the staff was polite, they had therapy, exercise rooms, showers, nurses around the clock it appeared as though they had one nurse per patient. They were on top on the patients with their meals. Some of them could feed themselves others could not. Out friend could not. Some evening I would go in to visit, I enjoy telling stories and reading so this was my pleasure. The staff knew me by name, although I didn't go on the same day each week, because I was told to always visit on different days this way the staff would not know his stayed there several months. He has not recovered. "

"My mother is a resident of St. Catherine and she's really happy there. Even when she's on a certain amount of income, she gets a reduced rent compared to other people. So that helped out for her, plus they're claiming that her rent won't go up. The rent includes her dinner and breakfast every day, and if she wants to invite family there will be a fee for each person. They don't serve lunch but they have a big breakfast on Thursdays and the food is good. They got activities like pokeno, mystery lunches, exercise classes, spa, meditation, and so on. So she's going to go from being by herself to getting involved. The staff is exceptional, very nice and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place."
