AMA Group Home is unique in that we provide care in an actual home instead of an institutional care center. Our home is open to adults who are unable to manage independent living in their own homes. Currently, we support clients with developmental and physical disabilities as well as those with mental illness and brain injuries. At AMA Group Home, we work to meet the individual, social, emotional and medical needs of each client. This concept ensures that our care meets the specialized and personalized needs of individuals requiring specific care modalities/methodologies within and around the Twin Cities Metro Area and surrounding suburbs. Our residents are constantly in the care of licensed professionals 24 hours. All clients have access to experienced and professional PCAs who provide direct and personalized care around the clock. We provide: Medication Management - Highly trained professionals manage each client’s medications and provide explanation of medications to clients as needed. Assist with Activities of Daily Living - With support available around the clock, clients have access to support to get through daily routine/ tasks (i.e driving, shopping or personal care). Behavior Support Plans - Clients receive well-rounded care that includes a personalized behavior support plan. Staff meet the individual and cultural needs of each client. Private Rooms - Clients can relax and enjoy in their own designated space to ensure around the clock privacy. Financial Management - Working towards a goal of independence, clients will receive financial management resources and assistance. Housekeeping - Staff support clients with organization and cleaning (i.e laundry). Transportation - provided for shopping as well the facility van supports transportation needs of clients. Meals - All meals are prepared and served by site staff. Clients can choose from a variety of wholesome and healthy choices from the menu. Exercise and wellness program - A wellness & exercise plan is part of the personalized plan of each client. Clients have access to in-home gym equipment to maintain an active lifestyle.
