I have a mother-in-law that lives at Swank Home Assisted Living. They're excellent, kind, caring, compassionate staff, and very knowledgeable of their residents. I feel that my mother-in-law is very comfortable there. It's a much smaller community. I have my mother visited there, but my mother wanted a larger facility. Everything's called an apartment, but she has the one-bedroom with the bathroom. It's very good for my mother-in-law. It works out perfectly because she spends most of her time out in the living room or kitchen area.

The Swank Home was established in 1986 by Homer & Sharon Swank and has been owned by the daughter, Rhonda Anagnostopolos, since 2001. Our rates are ALL INCLUSIVE, so we never charge extra for additional care services. Our care plan includes all of the following and may be tailored to fit each individual’s needs. What’s Included: All items on the list below are included at no extra charge. 24 hour-a-day care by trained and caring staff. Nurse call system. House physicians services available. Private or semi-private suites available, with an attached half bathroom. Each room comes furnished with bed and dresser. Residents and their families are encouraged to decorate the rooms with familiar furnishings from home. Assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal care. Complete medication management with Computerized Electronic Medication (EMARS). Our full-time cook prepares delicious home-cooked meals, served family style. Fresh fruit, snacks, and coffee available any time of the day or night. All housekeeping – rooms are cleaned daily. All laundry services – laundry is done twice weekly, or more often if necessary. All utility services (heat, electricity, and water). Cable television is available in the living and activity rooms for your enjoyment. Fresh hand towels throughout the day as needed. Fresh bed linens weekly, or more often if needed. Planned daily activities, some of which include Bingo, Sittercizes, Crafts, Games, Movies & Music. Church services provided each Sunday. Swank Home Assisted Living has a home-like environment. It is a house more than it is a facility. There are no individual heater or air-conditioning controls. It's private pay. They have two wings. The outdoor area for people in memory care is actually a long balcony that looks out over the ground. There's no way to get down to the grass if you're in memory care, and I thought that was a little strange. They do not have handrails in the hallways. They do not have safety locks on doors and windows, but the windows use cranks so they're hard for people to use. They serve their food family style on long tables. They can provide physical therapy if you need it, but by an outside group. They have meals at 8:00,12:00, and 5:00. Fresh water is available in the rooms. The residents were clean and well groomed, and the staff was pleasant. They help people eat if they need that and they provide snacks three times a day at 10:00, 2:00, and 8:00.
